Great place for a waffle right next to Ron Jon I have not written about this location since before COVID so I am giving it a current review for all people interested. At this point in time there is no more social distancing and I did not see many masks on the patrons. I have been to this location several times over the years. It is located on the beach side of A1A just south of Ron Jon's surf shop. It can get very busy due to all the hotels and foot traffic in the area and when the cruise ships are in port. Parking is limited at the location but there are parking garages a few blocks up at Ron Jon. It is set up like a typical Waffle house with a 2 door entry and staff that greet you when you enter. You can eat at the tall counter, the larger tables to the left of the door that fit about 4 people, by the smaller tables to the left of the door that fit 2 people or at the low counter. The restaurant was not very crowded when we visited. The place was very clean. The waitress came to take our order quickly. We ordered the waffles (of course) and bacon and drinks. The food came out quickly and tasted very good. The staff was very professional and the food was excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting some good food and a pleasant atmosphere. read more

With no irony do I say this is mu favorite waffle house. It's where I first perfected my hash brown order and tried a pecan waffle for the first time. I mostly go when I'm sober (gasp). This place really is best on weekend mornings when there's a wait and a tone of staff are slinging waffles and the hot summer day is just starting outside. 24 hour hungry family coming home from a theme park food option. The prices are low food was good! Normal bf food pancakes grill cheese eggs hash browns grits and even waffles place is a small. It setup for big family sitting kids sat in two tables next tot us. Parents pulled a chair over and we did 3 per table. Overall on par with other big big bf type places with better prices. This seems like the only place left to eat after 8pm so plan your dinner accordingly. I love waffle houses and have been to many. The cook was the highlight and this guy could cook and he never stopped moving. He also was the only cook and the place was slammed. I would have given 5 stars but one of the waitresses was shoveling food, either cottage cheese or something like it, in her mouth right in front of us like it was her last meal on earth. I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich and covered hash brown (covered means with melted cheese on top) and I got a grilled cheese with unmelted cheese that was cold already somehow, and cold hash browns without any cheese. I asked the server (their name was Shy) and they said the cook flipped it. So I flipped my hash browns over, still no cheese. I got Shy's attention again to say hey there's no cheese on the bottom either, this time I was told the cook mixed up my order (if you knew that, why did you just walk off without fixing it the first time?) And upon being told, the coon shot Shy the dirtiest look I've ever seen, picked up a slice of cheese with his bare hands, touched it to the grill, and then unceremoniously flopped it onto my cold hash browns. Shy must be used to this because it went over like a regular occurrence, and nothing was said about it. I will never visit another Waffle House as long as I live, that was not disappointing and disgusting. read more

Walked 2 miles to eat to find a near empty restaurant with 80% of tables blocked off for reduced seating. The remaining tables were covered in half eaten food and dirty dishes. There were 2 male employees behind the counter chatting with a young female sitting at the counter who wasn't eating. We barely made it in the door when we were told no inside dining. Appeared that chatting with the young lady was more important then serving customers. When we first arrived, the receptionist was very specific about having to clean the table before we sat down,m. In the beginning we thought she was being rude but in reality she was doing it for our benefit. I have to say that the dynamic between the employees is mind blowing because they have such an amazing communication when it comes to giving orders to the cook and those orders been made at a promptly manner. It is the first time that I see such a communication between staff and the food was absolutely amazing. Although it was very busy, the cook managed to prepare food very efficiently and the food was amazing. I went to another waffle house and nothing compares to this one! They treat you like family! We just left the Waffle House in Cocoa Beach. We've been to hundreds of Waffle Houses between us, but we have NEVER been served so well. The greeter greeted us right away, and our server welcomed us with a warm, genuine smile. My breakfast wants don't fit easily into any of their specials, but Rene enthusiastically figured it out. I was telling my partner Terrell that she should be a trainer for servers. As it turned out, she was at one time in their management training program. What is interesting is I think that girls from the local strip clubs come here regularly. When they came in it was like a cloud if cheap Victoria's Secret perfume and glitter.
