After an impromptu gathering one Sunday a couple weeks ago, our experience at this particular Waffle House location cemented itself as an instant tradition for our group. Amber was our waitress a couple Sundays ago, and I've got to say, even when she's been running on no sleep with a busy work flow, she will take an extra moment to make you feel welcome, cared for, and satisfied. When we sat down, I noticed the button on her hat advertising for pies, and it looked like a pumpkin. She enthusiastically shared that they do have it and she'll check on it for me. When she came back, she said, "I have good news and I have bad news." I said, "give it to me straight, doc, what's going on." She told me they had one pumpkin pie left - but it was frozen. She said if I could wait an extra little bit, she'd carve a slice out for me and have them heat it up on the grill. WHAT? I told her that wouldn't be necessary and she insisted. I still declined, but this simple gesture let us know what lengths she would go to in order to ensure our day was that much sweeter. She was also so informative and told us about menu items we'd never heard of before. We have waited 20 minutes just to be seated in her section and I would do it again without hesitation. She is such a bright light in a world of unpleasant folks and I hope the best for her! But enough about Amber, I can't let this all go to her head! The news gets better - she has a great crew working behind her. Our food came out accurate, hot, fresh, and quick as heck. Waffle House is my favorite breakfast place and this location is an absolutely great example as to why. The bacon is ALWAYS cooked perfectly. The fresh-cracked eggs are never dry but never too runny. The waffles are always perfection. My only letdown when it comes to making a Waffle House a Waffle Home is the TouchTunes jukebox. You HAVE to pay real money to put songs on, and when the queue runs out, the restaurant is silent. I'm one of those dorks who always needs some tuneage in the background, so I always end up spending some amount of money just to break the silence, which I feel we shouldn't have to do! Of course, that's how their business model is successful. The place is clean, too. I've been there after a rush and there is no standing around for these folks. They immediately separate and clean different areas of the restaurant while they banter with each other. I love this location and I will be so sad when we move away from here in a couple months. Until then and beyond, I absolutely recommend this location.

The Boy decided he wanted to take me to breakfast at Waffle House. Cypress N Houston location. A few years ago, MrM would stop in for an early breakfast on his way to work. We haven't been there in a while. When we walked in, the two available booths were both dirty. We waited as Nancy cleared one off for us. I noticed the floor was littered with debris, including under our booth. The inside windows were covered in yuck as well. We sat down, ordered a large chocolate milk for him, a coffee with creamer and water no ice for myself. I asked for sugar as Nancy had removed everything from the table when cleaning. We ended up getting the sugar ourselves as it seemed to be forgotten after our beverages were served. The Boy had his favorite, the All Star Special. He added gravy to the hash browns. I had the Two Egg Special with bacon, I asked for the hash browns, well done, and added cheese and mushrooms, with tomatoes on the side. After Nancy left the table, I realized I hadn't been asked what type of toast I wanted. A few minutes later I made eye contact so she knew I needed something. When she came over, I asked for a coffee refill, with more cream and raisin toast with my meal. My meal was served first. The raisin toast was more well done than I prefer and I ended up not eating it. The hash browns were not well done as requested. While waiting for the Boy's meal, I picked my silverware, noticing the knife was dirty, I tried to polish myself, but the spot in question was dried on food. I asked for a new knife. I set my coffee cup on the napkin holder, waiting for a refill. Although Nancy finally refilled my cup, the creamer was never given, thus I didn't get to have that second coffee I wanted. I never did get the water. Once the Boy's meal was served, I had to ask for the gravy he requested. I took a bite of my eggs only to find something stuck to the roof of my mouth. I fished it out. It looked like a piece of plastic. I started to cut up my tomato slices and found a blonde hair stuck to my tomato/plate. I again, made eye contact with Nancy. When she came over, I showed her my plate with said hair, requesting a new one. As she took the plate from me she asked.... You want...??... I replied, I'd like a new plate and fresh tomatoes please. As my son was paying and is new to "proper tipping procedures " we had reviewed it at the table before going to the counter. When we got there, he asked the cashier to add the tip. She replied, I'll let you do that, there's a camera right there. He looked at me, so I explained that HE needed to write it in, as some people might say they didn't authorize the added tip, and it may get the employee in trouble. Then the cashier giggled and proceeded to add the tip herself, asking him to sign. I didn't say anything, thinking she would ask him to initial the tip SHE wrote in. She did not, thus not covering her actions. Unfortunately, I do not see us returning any time soon. Although $30 for breakfast/tip for two is fairly inexpensive now days, there is lot to be desired at the location.

Hear ye! hear Ye! Due to the nations current economic and financial crisis, Waffles have experienced inflation causing a deflation on their waffle size and appearance!! I do not remember their waffles coming out looking like wimpy pancakes with a waffle griddle slapped onto them! Like what tha?? They either changed the waffle makers or they're getting skimpy!! Came into WH on a rainy day with the hubs to enjoy a simple breakfast with a side of waffles but what we got was cold food and skimpy waffles! I'll have to say though! The staff and team at this Waffle House know how to hustle!!!! They were hard at work but maybe just couldn't handle the breakfast rush! Everything was rushed and plates were sitting out despite them hustling and rushing to make things happen! We received five star dining service from Jordan! He was great!! Checked in on us multiple times to see what we needed and was super friendly! Gotta make the waffles Better though esp.if you call yourself "waffle" house Also, they could drop/mix the chocolate chips into the batter to make it a chocolate chip waffle, not just sprinkle it on top...fail

So... I actually went into a Waffle House before 2am recently. Was weird being sober in there. But maybe that is why I am able to finally review this fine establishment. I must admit I'm a fan of the Waffle House, my boyfriend, not so much. But I was able to convince him to go here one evening for breakfast for dinner. Waffle House is Waffle House, you can't expect fine dinning here, it is what it is. I ordered eggs/over easy, hashbrowns/well done, sausage patty's, toast and a pecan waffle. Yes, it was a lot of food, but when in Waffle House, you Waffle. All of it was your basic breakfast food, I mean, you really can't go wrong. But I do have a weird complaint, which really shouldn't even be a complaint. My waffle had too many pecans. I mean, it was still good, I would have just liked less pecans. So, next time I plan to order a plain waffle. This location was your typical Waffle House. Wasn't super clean, but wasn't super dirty either.

best place ever sooooo goood!!!!! kay was a bad bitch so niceee!!! environment was super positive, great team, a good friday

Finally was able to get into the waffle house I was so excited when I made this location it's not that far away. They do a great breakfast everything was made perfectly and absolutely delicious. The staff was extremely polite and attentive. Which is very enjoyable and hard to find these days. I had never been to a waffle house before. The waffles are absolutely to die for. I had a bite of my son and had to have three more so delicious. We will definitely be back in our excited about our new breakfast spot in Cypress..

This is them charging me $5 for to go orders. Never again.

A five dollar service charge for to go products?? . It's not even mentioned anywhere in the building.

Do not come here late at night. Their day shift might be great, but the food, service and wait time is a joke after midnight.

A True Taste of the Deep South Right Here in Texas! I was…read morecraving some real Southern comfort food and the brand new Bojangles delivered in the best way possible. This place brings authentic Deep South flavors and hospitality straight to Texas, and every single bite reminded me of home-cooked meals from down South. The signature chicken tenders were crispy on the outside, juicy and tender inside, and seasoned to perfection, easily some of the best I've had anywhere. Paired with their seasoned dirty rice, their fluffy, buttery biscuits and perfectly seasoned french fries, it was a match made in heaven. I also had to try the famous Bo Berry biscuit, and it did not disappoint, warm, sweet, bursting with blueberries and that classic glaze that makes it impossible to stop at just one. Of course, no Southern meal is complete without a tall cup of sweet tea, and theirs was exactly what I hoped for: strong, refreshing, and perfectly sweetened like grandma made it. The portions are generous, the food is fresh and full of flavor, and the whole experience felt like a warm Southern welcome. If you're looking for that genuine Deep South taste without leaving Texas, Streets Chicken is the spot. Highly recommend. ! I'll definitely be back for more! Rod Gray Cypress, TX

My wife and I were sharing and she settled on the Steak Biscuit breakfast sandwich because she'd heard it tastes like the old Grandy's steak biscuit (I don't remember ever eating at Grandy's). We ordered on the app and picked up in the drive thru. The attendant was friendly and told us to pull up to the stop sign to wait for fresh food. The Steak Biscuit and Bo-Tato Rounds came out hot. I liked the biscuit, but the steak was too thin and got lost. My wife said, "It kind of tastes like Grandy's, but Grandy's was better," it has to have been 40 years since she's eaten there. The real star for me was the Bo-Tato Rounds! I would go back just for those. They were hot, flaky and just greasy enough to have that forbidden "it's bad for you" tater bliss!

The steak was honestly the highlight of the meal. It was cooked well, flavorful, and easily the best thing on the plate. Unfortunately, everything else ranged from mediocre to disappointing. The fried onion rings were extremely salty and just not enjoyable. The mashed potatoes were also overly salty, which made them hard to eat. The cream corn was okay, but nothing particularly memorable. What Mia's Table does really well is the atmosphere. The restaurant has a lively, family friendly environment, and it was packed when I visited. They also have a self serve ice cream bar, which is a nice touch for families with kids. If I were rating solely based on ambiance and overall vibe, I would probably give it 4 stars. The frustrating part is that I spent about $26 on my meal and ended up only really enjoying the steak. For that price point, I expected the sides to be just as good as the main dish. Overall, a great atmosphere and a solid steak, but the food quality was too inconsistent for me to rate it any higher.

I know. "Fine dining" and burgers? But that's what I wanted. I searched the web and found the Chefs Table in Vintage Park, and it wasn't too far from us here in The Woodlands, so we decided to make reservations and head there. From the moment we entered, we were treated like special guests. The ambiance is rich, but not overdone or stuffy. Simply classic and relaxing. Our booth felt private and unhindered by conversations of nearby diners or wait staff bustling past. Our cocktails were perfect. The calimari we ordered as an appetizer was probably the most tender and delicious either of us have ever had. And when our burgers arrived, I was so happy. It was exactly what I had set my mind on when selecting my birthday dinner experience. The blend of brisket and chuck was absolutely delicious, set atop a perfectly buttered toasted bun, with some crispy onion straws on top. And the fries... oh my! I rarely if ever eat fried food - so clearly this was my big day to completely go off my standard fare, but those fries had the perfect crunch and flavor. Apparently, when my husband made our resv, he told them it was my birthday, so our server brought out a delightful complimentary spiced cake dessert after we were finished eating - for us to share. It was the perfect finish to an already amazing meal. Thank you to the entire staff at The Chefs Table yesterday, for helping to create a memorable and delicious birthday feast for my husband and me. We were seated in a booth that felt quite cramped for a business meeting. Next time, we'd likely request a more open, well-lit table. We ordered several dishes, but the Chilean sea bass was disappointing. It was dry, lacked the buttery texture it's known for, and was quite bland. We also requested a side of hot sauce, but that request was overlooked. To end the meal, we planned to order coffee and toffee instead of dessert. After waiting nearly 30 minutes, we were told the coffee machine had broken. Unfortunately, by then the server seemed eager to wrap things up and didn't really give us the opportunity to consider any other after-meal options. Overall, the restaurant has a nice atmosphere and we can see why it's popular, but the food execution and service fell short of our expectations, especially for a business lunch. We hope these issues were just an off day, as we'd like to give it another chance.

It's been quite a long time since I was here and as I was in the neighborhood I decided to stop by again today. Remembering how good they were last time, I ordered the Oma's Frikadellen (grandma's recipe for all-beef meatballs). I like a good German meatball and these were tender and juicy. There was a choice of red cabbage or sauerkraut as a side; having confirmed they made the sauerkraut in-house themselves, had to order that because I know it's super healthy to eat. Better yet, that sauerkraut was almost perfect with a great flavor, but not too tart and just really a delicious version. Honestly I could've eaten a huge bucket load of that sauerkraut and I may buy some to go someday just to have it on hand in my refrigerator; a slight warm and it would be a wonderful side to serve guests. Dessert was a wow! I wanted to try a dessert that they made themselves and so I couldn't help but go with one of the dessert specials of the day. There were several options available not on the menu and although it was tempting to try the tiramisu or one of the three versions of crème brûlée they make, I decided to go with their homemade limoncello cake which turned out to be a delicious choice that I'm very happy about. Waiter Ty said it was one of his favorite desserts here and I could taste why -- moist cake, flavor-filled filling, whipped cream and with blueberries to decorate the plate. In fact it was so yummy that I decided that so someday soon I would order one with a couple days notice and then take it to my family's place next time I go over for dinner - what I don't know is whether I'll tell them the truth or try and pretend that I made it myself LOL :-) Update: the next day I did call to order an entire cake and it didn't last very long once the family dug in, got gobbled up because it had an intense great lemon flavor, wonderful.
