    Fried Zucchini

This restaurant is always clean and the staff welcoming. We were seated and greeted by Karle. We've dined with her several times and she is always friendly and attentive. My favorite thing to order as an appetizer is the fried zucchini however, you do generally have to do this as a special request and wait to see if they are able to serve them. We generally luck out. We frequently go for lunch or early dine. They are great portions at excellent prices. I ordered the lunch grilled chicken with a baked sweet potato while my son had the lunch grilled chicken with sautéed mushrooms and broccoli. Karle was attentive throughout the meal. She has always given us 5 star service.

Lunch Menu changed. I got Sirloin and shrimp, as the filet mignon was removed from lunch menu. The filet was good last time, but the sirloin was barely edible, no flavor, it looked good, but tasted like dry cardboard and cooked medium rare. The shrimp was grilled, it was OK. I would not order this again. Brussel sprouts were good and the salad was fresh. Bread was ok. The service was good, but I had to wait for my water to be refilled by the manager. The two seater booth is so close your feet are on top of the other person's feet across from you. It's a very cozy and comfortable restaurant.

Came here with my mom and brother for dinner on a Sunday evening. We were greeted and seated right away, and there was a good amount of people dining. We skipped on the appetizers and enjoyed their complimentary bread and butter. As far as food goes, I went with the Cajun ribeye medium rare, potato soup, and Mac n cheese as my sides. The steak came out cooked perfectly for me, and the Mac was really tasty. The soup was solid as well but came out separately before the rest of the food. I'll specify that I want it all together next time. I ate up all my food and the steak was really good too. My mom ordered a chicken plate that she liked and really loved the potato soup. My brother ordered a regular Ribeye with mac n cheese and a salad and really loved his. He especially loved the mac but the steak as well. The ambiance was pretty calm considering how many people were there, which I liked. Our waitress Katherine did a great job serving us. Only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is that I was a little surprised by the pricing of the food, and yes I'm aware it's a steakhouse. I'd still definitely be back for a good dinner!

11/8/2025: Saltgrass Steak House is a great place to get multiple items and they're always spot on with consistency. If dining with a group, everyone can find something they enjoy. I like the Hickory Chicken. It's no longer on the menu, but if you ask they will make it for you. Typically, it needs to be a chef who has been there for a while to know how to make it. I ordered it the other night and it was spot on! It's a chicken breast covered in cheese, barbecue sauce, bacon, and mushrooms. I get mine with no onions. It is so good, I'm always surprised. They took it off the menu. The night we went, the waitress had already had two other people order it, so I know it's not just me. The service was great, the restaurant was clean, and I was thoroughly happy with my meal. The manager came over and checked on us twice. That's always a nice touch. Everything was running smoothly and we were very happy!

Food was pretty good. We stopped in for an early dinner and the restaurant was open pretty packed. We were seated in this cute little booth for two and ordered. I ordered the filet mignon with the seasoned green beans, 7/10. It was okay. They also brought their house seasoning which was pretty good. The green beans were great! The tortilla soup was mid. Very little flavor or seasoning, 4/10 My husband said his steak, (ribeye I think?) was okay, 6/10. Overall, we might be back.

The food was good the presentation was fair. A couple things were not available on the menu so I was a little disappointed. We had very good service for my waiter. I wish they would put TVs near the booth area.

Today 7/2 12:30pm We were greeted by a Hispanic female hostess with a long ponytail. Her attitude was as dry as breadcrumbs in a desert. It just wasn't with us, but everyone. I looked for a name tag, but she was wearing one. Shaun, our waiter was GREAT. He was kind and caring. He deserved the tip that we gave him. I am a Landry's member and a manager did not come out to acknowledge it.

Salt grass has several locations throughout Houston that I have visited This one is in the Cypress area. I have visited a couple of time with one of my friends as he comes a lot. The last time I had the hamburger steak, Mac and cheese and potato soup. All were prepared very well and very tasty. I also had one of their Tito's lemonade that was delicious. I think it will be my go to whenever I visit one.

Amazing experience, I love salt grass good ole country eating. The service was great, the Astros were on and the food was delicious. My steak was cooked to perfection and my wife's fish was amazing she said. Came here during restaurant week and it didn't disappoint don't miss out it's $40 for a 4 course meal!!

Not Creekwood! I was seeking somewhere to eat that was close by my place of business, and that was open later, AND that served burgers to appease my three teenage burger-loving boys. This spot came in number two to one that I had not had a good experience at before, so we decided to give it a try. The fact that the reviews all said "family-friendly," "outdoor play," AND live music just made it more interesting. From the moment we walked in, the vibe was just great. The band playing was really good, the environment was welcoming, the staff was kind, and the service was superb. Matt was attentive, listened, had great recommendations, and just overall showed a level of attentiveness I'd not seen in recent times... We ordered a couple of different things - to start, the fried pickles were divine. They were a bit on the greasy side, but my kids devoured them! I ordered the captain's platter; my kids ordered burgers - one ordered the brisket potato, and not one of us left with doggy bags. The food came freshly prepared - nothing was cold, it was well-seasoned and aptly priced. Definitely a recommendation to try if in the area and in need of a wind-down with kiddos in tow. Adding to my faves for sure!

However, it is tastefully decorated inside with a somewhat unique inclusion of area high school banners on the wall giving it a real local feel to this location. I chose mashed potatoes and gravy with green beans as it's 2 side dishes. After getting my drink at their self serve drink machine area, I found an empty table and only waited about 10 minutes for my food to arrive, The boneless chicken breasts had grill marks on them and were hot and tasty. The Factory Fish Sandwich is a new item and it should immediately be retired. The blackened sandwich was not blackened at all and had a very fishy flavor. The fried version was better, but still not good. Their tartar sauce is AWFUL. It has too much dill. I got the coleslaw on the side- good choice because it was just shredded cabbage and not really a slaw. The fries were great - as always. I will not recommend this item. The spinach dip was BLAND. Thankfully I had my own seasoning in my purse to help. Once I seasoned it myself, it was better. I would recommend more Parmesan and garlic. I will not get this again. The street corn was good. I know they cut it into 'ribs' for a nicer appearance, but it is awkward and messy to eat. A standard cut would be fine. I would try it again. When it showed up I was amazed by the large pile of food. As I began to eat though, I started to get disappointed. I cut into my fried egg expecting it to run all over my plate, but it seems like it was cooked somewhere between over medium and over hard. I was looking for tasting the hot honey, which appears to be under the dish as opposed to on top of it. I was looking forward to a soft fluffy biscuit, but it too was over hard. The Chicken was well cooked, a bit thin, and I'm not sure that the breading tasted anything more like Captain crunch than it did any other breading. However every time I cut into it the breading kind of just fell off into the gravy. The gravy and potatoes were redeeming, with good flavor gravy and well cooked potatoes. Overall, it wasn't bad, I ate it all, I just expected better for my $17.
