Lunch 6 ounce sirloin steak with grilled shrimp and brussels sprouts.
    Anne B.

Lunch Menu changed. I got Sirloin and shrimp, as the filet mignon was removed from lunch menu. The filet was good last time, but the sirloin was barely edible, no flavor, it looked good, but tasted like dry cardboard and cooked medium rare. The shrimp was grilled, it was OK. I would not order this again. Brussel sprouts were good and the salad was fresh. Bread was ok. The service was good, but I had to wait for my water to be refilled by the manager. The two seater booth is so close your feet are on top of the other person's feet across from you. It's a very cozy and comfortable restaurant.

11/8/2025: Saltgrass Steak House is a great place to get multiple items and they're always spot on with consistency. If dining with a group, everyone can find something they enjoy. I like the Hickory Chicken. It's no longer on the menu, but if you ask they will make it for you. Typically, it needs to be a chef who has been there for a while to know how to make it. I ordered it the other night and it was spot on! It's a chicken breast covered in cheese, barbecue sauce, bacon, and mushrooms. I get mine with no onions. It is so good, I'm always surprised. They took it off the menu. The night we went, the waitress had already had two other people order it, so I know it's not just me. The service was great, the restaurant was clean, and I was thoroughly happy with my meal. The manager came over and checked on us twice. That's always a nice touch. Everything was running smoothly and we were very happy!

Came here with my mom and brother for dinner on a Sunday evening. We were greeted and seated right away, and there was a good amount of people dining. We skipped on the appetizers and enjoyed their complimentary bread and butter. As far as food goes, I went with the Cajun ribeye medium rare, potato soup, and Mac n cheese as my sides. The steak came out cooked perfectly for me, and the Mac was really tasty. The soup was solid as well but came out separately before the rest of the food. I'll specify that I want it all together next time. I ate up all my food and the steak was really good too. My mom ordered a chicken plate that she liked and really loved the potato soup. My brother ordered a regular Ribeye with mac n cheese and a salad and really loved his. He especially loved the mac but the steak as well. The ambiance was pretty calm considering how many people were there, which I liked. Our waitress Katherine did a great job serving us. Only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is that I was a little surprised by the pricing of the food, and yes I'm aware it's a steakhouse. I'd still definitely be back for a good dinner!

Food was pretty good. We stopped in for an early dinner and the restaurant was open pretty packed. We were seated in this cute little booth for two and ordered. I ordered the filet mignon with the seasoned green beans, 7/10. It was okay. They also brought their house seasoning which was pretty good. The green beans were great! The tortilla soup was mid. Very little flavor or seasoning, 4/10 My husband said his steak, (ribeye I think?) was okay, 6/10. Overall, we might be back.

The food was good the presentation was fair. A couple things were not available on the menu so I was a little disappointed. We had very good service for my waiter. I wish they would put TVs near the booth area.

Today 7/2 12:30pm We were greeted by a Hispanic female hostess with a long ponytail. Her attitude was as dry as breadcrumbs in a desert. It just wasn't with us, but everyone. I looked for a name tag, but she was wearing one. Shaun, our waiter was GREAT. He was kind and caring. He deserved the tip that we gave him. I am a Landry's member and a manager did not come out to acknowledge it.

Amazing experience, I love salt grass good ole country eating. The service was great, the Astros were on and the food was delicious. My steak was cooked to perfection and my wife's fish was amazing she said. Came here during restaurant week and it didn't disappoint don't miss out it's $40 for a 4 course meal!!

Salt grass has several locations throughout Houston that I have visited This one is in the Cypress area. I have visited a couple of time with one of my friends as he comes a lot. The last time I had the hamburger steak, Mac and cheese and potato soup. All were prepared very well and very tasty. I also had one of their Tito's lemonade that was delicious. I think it will be my go to whenever I visit one.

Best customer service experience ever. When I tell you they took good care of my family. It was my husband's 40th Birthday celebration and we had 40 plus people there and they catered to our every need. We will return for this service

I have been eating at saltgrass steak houses since their opening in 1991 as the guest of the legendary Maudeen Marks (Maudeen's center cut Filet) and have been a loyal customer ever since, but what happened today was absolutely ridiculous and inexcusable. I will start by saying that my server was absolutely amazing and was the only reason I did not walk out in the middle of my meal. As always, I ordered a 16 ounce Pat's ribeye, medium rare, when it came out, it was absolutely purple on the inside, so my waitress went back and had them cooking another steak, which came out well done and with so much salt that it would've given me a heart attack so the manager came over and said that she would go back and personally pick a steak for me and make sure it was cooked properly when the manager personally brought out the third steak I cut through the center and it was tough but a least medium rare, but. There was so much connective tissue in it that at least 4 ounces of the 16 ounce ribeye was nothing but gristle, and the outer pieces were still purple, for this inconvenience she offered me a dessert to make up for the poor steak, but with a $50 price tag it left a horrible taste in my mouth and frankly I didn't want to eat anything else that they had to serve by that time an hour and a half and I was there by myself, the manager never came back by to check on how things were. my poor server could do nothing but apologize over and over and as I said early on in this review, she was as sweet and attentive as you could possibly ask for, actually one of the best weight staff experiences I've ever had there. I guess I should have paid attention to the three star rating that it had here on yelp, but I always like to try things for myself and after tonight, I would say it is the absolute worst saltgrass steakhouse I've ever been to which is saying a lot. I will spare you a picture of the disgusting food that I was served tonight although I do have it on my phone the Southwest Freeway location the I 10 location and the Shepherd location and the I 45 north location and the Galveston location, have all been amazing in the last few years, this is the only location that I've had this kind of an experience with. Cheers and I look forward to better food tomorrow.

The food was amazing, our server, Stephanie, was amazing, and the manager, Steve, was very personable!

An outing with my grand niece and my wife and daughter. We started off with chips and queso and this stuff was addictive! I was worried about the chip to queso ratio, being left with too much queso and no chips. But it turned out perfect. My daughter had ordered a patty melt, my wife got a loaded baked potato and I ordered a Hot Bob with jalapeños and pepper jack cheese. Oh and a kid's cheeseburger for my grand niece (with pickles on the side for the wife.) First up the Little Mavericks cheeseburger. I didn't eat it and neither did my grand niece. No judgement I'm sure it was fine. My wife liked her baked potato and the pickles. I tried it and it's a baked potato. The large bits of bacon were very good. My Hot Bob with Pepper Jack cheese was delectable. The burger was juicy and sloppy but the bun held firm until the end. That's a perfect burger according my scale. The jalapeño and pepper jack added the perfect amount of heat. My daughter said the patty melt was good but Whataburger's is better. I tried a nibble and kind of agree, but I'll hold my opinion until I get a proper bite! The server was nice and accommodating and very attentive. She offered a "To Go" container for the uneaten Little Maverick cheeseburger before I even asked. Creekwood Grill is in my neighborhood. I passed it for years and never stopped, turns out that was a big mistake. I will definitely be back.

My husband and I came for an early Friday evening dinner, and we were genuinely impressed. Customer service was good, not over the top, but definitely decent and pleasant. The atmosphere felt comfortable and inviting. They played a nice mix of music (blues, soul, Tejano, light rock, country, and more) at a mid-volume on the overhead speakers. There were also mounted flat-screens, but they weren't turned on, which I actually didn't mind. One of the coolest perks is the self-serve ice cream station, and the ice cream is delicious. It has that old-fashioned, rich vanilla flavor, like the 1950s when food tasted much better. On top of that, although not self-serve, they also have a "Shakes & Malts and Warm Cookies" station, which is such a fun touch. The dining area is large with plenty of seating options, (booths and tables), and everything looked clean and tidy. They also have a self-serve beverage station that was clean and well-stocked. Now for the best part: the food! Just a heads-up, this place believes in large portion sizes, and I'm not mad at it! I ordered the Mississippi Catfish Platter, and it was loaded. It came with 4 large catfish pieces, Texas toast, onion rings, and two sides. I chose the creamy whipped potatoes and coleslaw. My husband ordered the Mississippi Catfish with fried shrimp and French fries, and his plate also came with Texas toast and onion rings. I tasted one of his shrimp and it was delectable! OMG! My only complaint is that the fish could have been fried a little crispier with a little crunch to it. It was just too soft for my liking. Food Ratings: Mississippi Catfish Platter -- 4/5: Delicious flavor, but it wasn't crispy/crunchy--more soft than I expected Shrimp & Catfish Platter -- 4/5 Mia's Queso Dip -- 3/5 Mashed Potatoes -- 5/5: Thick consistency but still creamy Onion Rings -- 5/5: Cooked to perfection--crispy and crunchy Coleslaw -- 3/5: Not my favorite. It had more of a vinaigrette vibe, and I prefer a mayo-based, tangy slaw French Fries -- 3/5: Served hot, but nothing special Overall, I highly recommend Mia's Table if you're looking for simple comfort food without all the fancy extras. The atmosphere is chill and relaxing, perfect for unwinding after a long work week or for those lazy nights when you just don't feel like cooking.

I love the seating and interior, but the best thing about The Cheesecake Factory is the variety offered in their extensive menu and the quality of the food. This one fits the bill. It was a shopping day with the wife and daughter with lunch at The Cheesecake Factory. We started off with the Egg Roll Sampler Appetizer and it was a great start. The variety of tastes was the star of the show mixing and matching, trying to find the best sauce ratio. My favorite was the chicken taquito. My wife loved the cheeseburger and I can't fault her for it because they were great. Obviously my wife has great taste. My daughter said the Avocado egg roll was the best. I tried it and hated it, AVOCADOS ARE GROSS! For our entrees my daughter got the Seared Tuna Tataki Salad, my wife ordered the soup (cream of chicken) and salad with Caesar dressing. I decided to try something new and got the Steak Diane (woo hoo retro.) My daughter's Seared Ahi Tuna Salad was fantastic. The tuna was cooked well, though it could've been a bit more fatty. The salad was fresh and crisp and the dressing was bright and tangy with undernotes of sesame oil. My wife's soup and salad was great. The soup was homey and reminiscent of a rich pot pie. The Caesar dressing on the salad was spectacular. It was creamy and tangy just like Caesar should be. Now for my Steak Diane, I'm so glad I decided to try something new. You know, take me back to the fancy restaurants of the mid century because this dish was divine. The steak was in bite sized pieces but cooked perfectly. I loved the richness of the Diane sauce and the crisp mushrooms. For desert we had the Pineapple Upside Down cheese cake. It was delicious, a wonderful sweet desert that was the perfect light and airy end to a heavy lunch. I recommend The Cheesecake Factory in Cypress if you're in the area. Or if you're looking for someplace that feels special and fancy but you want to know it's going to not disappoint. And do yourself a favor and order something new, it's worth it. Almost forgot the drinks- My daughter got a Bloody Mary. I didn't try it because BLOODY MARYs are gross. I got the Spanish Old Fashioned. I think I like this better than a regular Old Fashioned. It was rich and smoky, the cold brew added a velvety chocolate taste. The orange peel notes were perfect and it had a good mouth feel. Simply amazing

When it showed up I was amazed by the large pile of food. As I began to eat though, I started to get disappointed. I cut into my fried egg expecting it to run all over my plate, but it seems like it was cooked somewhere between over medium and over hard. I was looking for tasting the hot honey, which appears to be under the dish as opposed to on top of it. I was looking forward to a soft fluffy biscuit, but it too was over hard. The Chicken was well cooked, a bit thin, and I'm not sure that the breading tasted anything more like Captain crunch than it did any other breading. However every time I cut into it the breading kind of just fell off into the gravy. The gravy and potatoes were redeeming, with good flavor gravy and well cooked potatoes. Overall, it wasn't bad, I ate it all, I just expected better for my $17.

Thank you Pluckers for doing a Valentine's Day special; or Anti-Valentine's Day since that's how it…read morewas advertised! Girlfriend and I decided on not doing a fancy meal for Valentine's day and we planned to stay in since the weather was gonna turn drastic later. But upon seeing Pluckers advertise $1 wings and $2 drafts for Valentine's day, we hopped in the car and drove to this location. We usually go to the Memorial or Shepherd locations since they are closer to us but they are always packed and figured they would be on this day as well. Upon arrival, we snagged a parking spot right in front of the restaurant which had us thinking we'd get a table easily. Sadly upon arriving, we we're told there would be a 45-50 minute wait (I guess people love wings on V-Day). While discouraged, we decided on the bar hoping there would be seats and luckily we found a spot in front of a couple tvs, plopped down, ordered some beers, then placed our wing order. Like any Pluckers, you come for three things: drinking, wings, and sports. And we got all of those here. The $2 drafts were for bud light only so the girlfriend tried that while I went with my usual miller lite in the large mugs. They also have specialty cocktails here that I may try sometime (Tuesdays is cocktail special night) but I always seem to trend towards beer when I'm here since it goes well with wings. Wings here are fried, drenched in their signature sauce(s), and with ranch/bleu cheese. Go-to flavors are cajun, goldrush, and chipotle bbq. And for $1 per wing at 10 minimum order, I was in heaven with my 20 piece. As for sports, it was mainly olympics playing but due to the weather, the tvs did not have connectivity so I watched mainly the tvs that had the whole "Why people love Pluckers so much" clips on repeat. It was heartwarming hearing peoples stories (customers and employees) about what Pluckers means to them and why they love coming/working here. It seems like a fun atmosphere to work as the bartenders have good banter going. Should I be in Cypress again, I'd be glad to roll in here for my wings/drinks/sports hankering.
