Great breakfast, cooked exactly as ordered. Great server, clean restaurant. Wish we had a Waffle House this nice closer to us.

One Sunday evening, my husband and I had a craving for breakfast for dinner so we headed to Waffle House. We both ordered the All-Star breakfast with a fluffy waffle, 3 strips of crispy bacon, eggs (scrambled for him and whites for me), and hashbrown. We omitted the toast or biscuit that comes with it as standard. It's a hefty deal for $10 for each breakfast. There were two people on duty and they promised us ten minutes. I thought there's no way they can do this for cooked to order. Sure enough, food was out in ten. Wow! We thoroughly our food and our Sunday date. This location rocks! read more

Let me start out by saying this Waffle House as of my visit on May 10, 2019 has a health score of 100%! That's not easy to do. The bathroom was clean. I came in on a Saturday at around 10 AM and was seated at the high bar within five minutes. The place was busy but the guys and gals on the grill were staying on task. My waitress (Angela I think) was so friendly and professional. She greeted me, took the order for the guy who came in just before me, handed that ticket to the expediter, then she took great care of me. That is exactly how it should go at the waffle house. I had an old fashion ham and cheese omelette with raisin toast and a hash brown with onions. The food came out nice and hot and fast. Refills of coffee were right on time. I don't live in Douglasville but the next time I come through I will definitely be back even if I'm not hungry. I've got to try that peach pecan waffle! read more

Went there for breakfast, wasn't busy, got table as soon as we got there. While we were waiting for our food to arrive, got crowded real quickly. We got our breakfast. Breakfast was wonderful. Now I know why it got busy real fast. Great food. Good experience for first timers. read more

Every time I've came to this location in the past 3 months the doors are always locked so I just go to ihop for now on and the last time I was able to get food here there was a lot of attitude for no apparent reason coming from the cashier. read more

I am surprised no one gave this Waffle House location a review yet...so I'll take the honor of "1st to review!" :-) I recently moved into Douglasville and due to not having all the necessary cookware etc. in my new my apt., I have been dining out locally. With that being said, I have had breakfast twice (as of this writing) at Waffle House on Highway 5 and I have had a great experience on both occasions. Granted it's an American staple "Chain" restaurant, but this one is exceptional based on the following criteria: 1) Service: I was greeted upon entry on both occasions by different staff members, which means they are consistent. Both of my waitresses were extremely kind and always checking up on me to make sure I was good and if I needed anything else. 2) Food: My T-Bone steaks were cooked and seasoned perfectly on both occasions by different grill cooks, so again they have demonstrated consistency in the food preparation area. In addition, all of the food tasted super fresh and was served very warm (meaning eggs and steak, etc. we're all warm...unlike being served a hot steak with cold eggs...which I can't stand!!) Anyway...(lol) 3) Cleanliness: The restrooms are clean and stocked with soap and paper towels along with an air dryer just in case paper towels temporarily run out. With fast food places, you can always gauge the cleanliness of the establishment by simply looking around, but more importantly how clean the restroom is maintained. 4) Location: Douglasville is pretty diverse, so you will see all different races of people eating and socializing together, which you don't see in many places. People seem to be open minded (from my experiences thus far) and make having breakfast or brunch here delightful, especially when the workers seem to get along and function as a "team." I am only rating 4 stars for now, as I have only dined in twice thus far. After "5" consistent positive experiences, I will upgrade to a 5! Keep up the good work! read more

I usually don't write reviews of chains but this one deserves 5 stars for sure. My friend and I tipsy ordered food at 3 am, & the lady who took our order was so friendly and patient. When we showed up, I was very surprised by how clean it was. My friend is ultra picky but her burger was preparers perfectly, & my chicken sandwich was sooo good. This is hands down the best breakfast place I've every eaten at, and I used to live in downtown Portland Organ with upscale restaurants on every block. The food is amazing, it's greasy as hell, but that's what makes it taste so good. They also give you large portions at affordable prices, which automatically makes any restaurant A class. The wait staff is super friendly and very generous. One time I ordered eggs and they were too raw so I didn't eat it, and they didn't even charge me for it. They also play great music since they have their own fully functional jukebox, it cost a few bucks but it's still cool and they allow the customers to control the music. The service is also incredibly fast, which is a very good trait to have in any restaurant. The only reason this gets 4 stars and not 5 is 2 reasons. One is they don't have a lot of healthy options since they cook everything on one greasy griddle, so their omelets are greasy. And yes they omelets, but it's on a secret menu that you have to ask for. They also don't have a wide variety of fruits and vegetables, so ordering an egg white veggie omelet from there would be like ordering steak at a vegan place. The second reason is it's very small with limited seating. I understand that it's supposed to add charm and quaintness, but if they want to get more customers and make more money then they really should consider expanding by adding a good 20 seats. Overall this restaurant is amazing with great food and great service, and I highly recommend to anyone with a taste for grease and good music. read more

The food is good, as always. The grilled chicken and steak were so surprisingly good that I wouldnt have thought I could get at Waffle House. I also really love the scattered, smothered and covered. Prices are decent. The employees here are pretty nice. My wife came here for her birthday dinner and they were very welcoming. It could be in a better location. Easy to see and easy to get in, but harder to get out. Impossible actually if you need to go left. You need to drive all the way down to walmart just to turn around. read more

I watched as the couple that sat down 15 minutes latter than me and my wife got complete service first (including our order). We got eggs and cheese grits but wondered when our bacon, ham and waffles would arrive. Well I noticed bacon, ham, and waffles being served to the folks that walked in behind us. By the time we finished our grits and eggs we had lost our appetite but the couple behind us were stuffed with our orders. read more

The service at this location is just awesome I ordered for pick up and was able to get it 10min later I had my baby sleeping in the car the waiter came out and took my card then brought me my receipt and card to the car this is excellent customer service thanks a lot read more
