When I arrived around 9 pm on a Monday evening I was surprised to only see 2 other customers in the restaurant. This usually isn't a good thing when visiting a restaurant. Despite it being a slow night for them, I was pleasantly surprised with my food. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich with bacon and cheese and a side of hash browns. The lettuce, tomato, and pickles come on the side so you can make the sandwich how you want. The food was made to order and was very fresh. My sandwich tasted very good. The staff working were pleasant and all wished me a good evening when I was leaving. By the time I finished my dinner, I was actually the only customer in the restaurant. This experience is a great example that just because a restaurant isn't busy doesn't mean you won't get great service or the food won't be good. We arrived and due to COVID they had limited seating so we ordered to go. As we were waiting on our food two tables became available (1 was available but need to be cleaned) and they just had to be cleaned. My husband and I were on a layover in Atlanta Georgia. We walked a fair distance because we were Jones'ing for Waffle House. We don't have Waffle House where we live. When we arrived they told us that they were closed and available for takeout only. We expressed our disappointment and the enterprising young server Elena got on the phone with her manager, they opened the store and cooked us up the best Waffle House meal we've ever had. I would have given a five star but let me tell you about the loud waitress/server that sang the whole time I was there. FIRST you must know, I had a migraine and it was 4am in the morning. I was hoping food could help in calming the pain because I hadn't eaten dinner. I went alone in the Waffle House and ordered a 2 egg breakfast. They didn't have any white milk. The manager was cooking the food and was very good. My head was bounding in pain and the waitress kept singing songs out loud almost screaming so everyone could hear her. Apparently this is something she does and it is except-able to the staff. BUT what wasn't considered was the people. I had a massive headache and I didn't go to the Apollo, I went to Waffle House. I just wanted to eat quietly in the early morning and just relax. Management should have never aloud her to sing out loud and disturb others when she didn't even have a singing voice. This is my first Waffle House experience. I live in Los Angeles so we don't have any here, so on my Atlanta trip I wanted to see what all the fuss is about. First off, Atlanta has a Waffle House on basically every corner which amazes me. This location looks pretty old when I look at other newer locations that were located next to the aquarium or in the downtown area. The place is pretty run down but we all liked our food. I had the scrambled eggs, sausage, pecan waffle, and hash browns. All the food was good and filling and super reasonable. I really enjoyed the waffle. It was light and fluffy which I prefer because most people make them too crunchy for me. The service was okay but the cook did make sure we enjoyed our food, which I appreciated. We swung by this location for breakfast on our way to the airport, and - by the end of our meal - I was a little disappointed and concerned. At the time of our visit, 09.02.13, they had a "B" rating posted on the wall, and I can see why. While this Waffle House was well-staffed, the folks behind the counter appeared unorganized and inefficient. For example, the waffle cook became distracted and ended up slightly burning two waffles, which she had to toss out (not only a shame, but an event that slowed down someone's breakfast). They still managed each order via paper tickets, and appeared to have a difficult time keeping track of what was completed and what was not. Furthermore, as we waited for our order to arrive, I had the time to notice that the floors under the equipment tables (we were in a booth adjacent to the kitchen) were dusty, greasy, and littered with various product wrappers and caps. In addition, the waffle cookers looked as if they had not been thoroughly cleaned in years (the edges caked with dried and burned batter, some of which appeared on the bottom of each of my two waffles). Overall, the staff was friendly, though they could have been more attentive at times. In closing , the other Waffle House locations I have been to were excellent, and - if this location were to address all of these issues - they would be right up there with them. read more

I often order Togo orders ahead on the phone, this place is within walking distance, and the order is usually ready by the time I get there. Only on one occasion did they not let me place the order over the phone, presumably in fear that I wouldn't show up to claim the order. This location is pretty clean and the staff is friendly. I have gotten home with the order being wrong, but the food is consistent and as good as good can be for any Waffle House read more

I was craving a Texas Chicken melt today and decided that I'd go to the nearby WaffleHouse. Needless to say, I'll never go to this one again. I called before-hand because I hate to wait too long. Having low blood sugar makes me a bit dizzy when I'm hungry, so I try to minimize my hangry experiences. But today, a domino effect of unfortunate incidents on behalf of WaffleHouse made my experience go from bad to worse. I called. I was put on hold for over 10 minutes. I was willing to be patient because I know that this WaffleHouse is quite busy. I hung up and decided to go there and place my order personally after it seemed that it was forgotten that I was on the phone. On arrival, I could somewhat summarize the issue in my phone order experience. There were 2 people ACTUALLY working. And a third person lounging like an old lady on a swing on a front porch on a Sunday evening after church. The dismissive nature of this employee/server was a bit shocking. I was there for over 15 minutes before she even bothered to take my order was taken. I kinda wish that I would've left at the 10 minute mark. But again, I was hungry. The server finally took my order...And my payment...Which basically held me hostage until my order was done. 30 minutes later I received my order. Though I will say that I received my order with a smile, the chicken was undercooked and lacklustre. The best time to come here and eat is on the weekends anywhere between 2:00 and 7:00 in the morning. Sometimes you can meet some fine women and even some freaks of the night after heavy partying.
