Our order: me- coffee, orange juice, senior waffle with bacon. Husband: coke and tomato juice, scrambled eggs, hash browns chunked, an order and half of sausage and dry wheat toast. She came back with a coffee, a Coke one can of tomato juice (an order of tomato juice cups with two cans) no orange juice. So where's my orange juice. The order was delivered with one sausage patty instead of an order and a half order, and one scrambled egg. We were frustrated for sure! Then tattoo/bushy beard man decided to speak up and say, 'are they being rude to you?' No, we weren't. We wanted our order to be correct. Nothing more, nothing less. It's Waffle House. They are a southern past time. We love them. Not a fan of them getting rid of the choice of city / country ham and the fact their ham "steak" is now a piece of lunch meat. A Waffle House in Georgia or Alabama just hits different. I can't explain it. Everything seems the same, and yet, it's different. And you don't truly know until you've experienced it. I found this out about 10 years ago when I lived in Alabama for a few years. Everyone wanted to meet at Waffle House for meetings or get-togethers. And not just breakfast. Any time of day. I was confused. "Waffle House? Like, Waffle House, Waffle House?!" I replied. Yep! That's what they wanted. And then the magic happened. Again, I can't explain it. Waffle Houses in the Deep South are just better. Cleaner, nicer, tastier, and the coffee is hotter. Not that Waffle Houses is all that clean or nice. But if you grade on a curve, the South is top of the class! I indulged with the All Star. I did split it with my children, so that saved some calories. But when you eat at Waffle House, are you really counting calories? I feel like you already made that life choice before walking through the door! A plain, malted waffle, eggs over easy with grits and bacon. That's my poison. Crumble the bacon and put them in the grits with extra butter. What's that? Sorry, I couldn't hear you over the sound of my arteries hardening as I sit at the table. Round off the meal with some hot, black coffee. If I'm really feeling frisky, I'll throw in some half and half. This Waffle House, located just inside the Georgia state line, didn't disappoint and was a great pit stop for my family road trip. read more

I've visited multiple Waffle House in Florida, but none of them has been as good as this Waffle house in Kingsland. I ordered the All Star Special. The pecan waffle came with some many! Also I like to add cheese and chili to my hasbrowns and this location gave me so much! The service was quick. And the restaurant look clean and quiet. read more

Who doesn't love Waffle House. Service was slow going, but the waitress was nice and informed us she was new and in training. I appreciate her telling us. It changes the tempo for breakfast as we are understanding. Overall she was a lovely lady and got our order correct. Food was hot and coffee was refilled every time I was half way empty. This was the nastiest WH I've ever been in. The floor was unswept, more dirty tables than clean, frying pans sitting on the customer counter, jellies toast on the floor, receipts and bills scattered on one counter. I eat at WH a lot, esp when traveling. We were tired and hungry, even with that, we should've left. Food was standard, service was good. Restaurant had 5 tables with customers. Wait staff appeared busy, although one was eating lunch on the counter with the receipts. I would've never sat down to eat with tables piled with dirty dishes. A guy with a clipboard came out, looked in the refrigerator section & then disappeared again. Once again, I wouldn't be hiding with a clipboard while the tables and floors were piled up. Overall, poor management to allow a place to get in filthy conditions. Just nasty. It was SO filthy that I contacted WH's corporate office. Never heard a word from them, so who knows if they addressed that. I'd just avoid until the state health department visits and grades them poorly. read more

The short order cook ( our waitress called him "Angry Bird Craig" - I 'm guessing cause he had on an angry bird hat)- made the best cheese omelet I have ever had. Seriously. Worst Waffle House in America by far. Dirty, slow, staff had no clue what the hell they were doing. They were not that busy first off. Took them 10 minutes to clean a table for us. Waitress could not get our drinks right to save her life. Took almost 30 minutes to get our food and let me remind you it was not busy. They burnt my daughters waffle had to make another one. I went to this location this morning with my son . I was not sure what I wanted to eat so I ask for a cup of coffee. I was told its policy that you have to order before getting a drink. I have been many times and never had an issue. The waitress said she would sneak me a cup. I ask for the manger. Kristy the manger tells me in fact that is policy. She states the menu has been the same for years and I should know what I want. I told her I would call the 800 number and explain they need to change the policy. I went to WH around 5 pm on 12 Sep after Hurricane Irma had passed because I was told that WH was serving meals. I was greeted by some of the employees outside and they were serving, however, it was only burgers and a coke. I agreed to the meal and proceeded to enter. I was warned that they did not have any water and the sanitary conditions wasn't to par. Again I agreed to eat here. As I waited for my meal, I asked not 1 but 2 employees if they didn't mind if I sat here to eat my meal real quick. They both said yes and I began to eat. Halfway during my meal, the manager during that shift came from the back with the nastiest attitude and she was quite loud as she made her entrance. "Oh no, no, no...he can't be in here"!! "Who is he, is he your son!" (Assuming she's saying this because the waitress and I are both of the same ethnicity) "You need to grab your food and get out, now!" So I took one swallow of my coke to wash the food down and told the waitress Thank You for the meal and calmly walked out as ordered. Now I could have been a butthole back towards this manager, but I didn't. I feel that if you are providing a service to the community that just went through a horrific devastation with Hurrican Irma, this would be your time as a servant to help mend this community by being a humble, heartwarming, and respectable citizen to those patrons who are without. Not being a offensively impolite, ill-mannered, and vexation person. And to continue bickering outside in the back of the store with the very cook, who told me that it wasn't a problem for me to eat quickly, as she smoked and gave nasty eye contact as I sat in the parking lot to finish what was left of my meal. The food was decent. About what you'd normally expect at a WH. However my main discontent was with the waitress. I had my 2 year old daughter with me who does not eat eggs (the main ingredient of my meal) so I was going to order her a waffle kids meal since the waffle + drink would total more than the meal. The waitress then started to tell me that my daughter could eat off my plate, in which I repeated she doesn't eat eggs. As time went on it turned out that she began to argue with me over it. I had to tell her if my daughter didn't eat any of the waffle that I would eat it in order to get her to put the order in for my daughter's food. Let alone she did not order the meal nor did she allow me to get my daughter a drink when she didn't like my OJ but instead the waitress ignored me. Luckily my friend paid the tab bc really I'd have spoken to the manager about my experience. I've never had a bad experience with Waffle House until last night or should I say at 1:30am ...the crew that was there had the WORST customer service ...First of all we walked in every table was (except maybe 2) was dirty and filled with leftovers from previous customers ..while patiently waiting,one of the waitresses RUDELY said "umm it's gonna be 30min before I can get any of these tables cleaned " and RUDELY walked away...we ended up finding a somewhat clean table anyway...long story short ..the waitress finally took our order when we finally got our food it was all wrong..we told her ..she basically didn't give a crap (that's what type of vibe she gave) ..so being the humble ppl we are we jus ate what we had ..paid ..left NO tip and walked out ..This Waffle House will NEVER get my service again !
