We meet Mama Trish, and Ronnie. I have always been aware that whenever a location has sustainability, it's most likely due to its logistics and longevity of systems. We do tend to forget that individuals make the difference of any location. And this was not any different. Mama Trish has been with this location for over 30 years. And she knows her craft to a T. To such extent, that management has to rely on her ability to make decisions over themselves. She is that valuable. And the food couldn't be farther apart from this reality. Whenever I take my first bite, my body automatically starts dancing in the seat, like in that Cosby show episode, where the kids are having chocolate cake for breakfast. To me, the Waffle House breakfast is undeniably the best. It's full of flavor, and tastes just like mom use to make (Always made with love). Barbara, our waitress is the best. She was entertaining, fun, funny, assertive, and on point. Her service was impeccable, and she made sure we had everything we needed. This place was wonderful. The Hostess Barbara was very friendly and gracious. She seated us quickly and placed our order. She tried to make sure we were satisfied with our order. I went in on Saturday night expecting to see that friendly smile on Krista's face by the register, and instead I found out that she no longer works there! I ate anyways my waitress was a new lady I believe and she did a pretty good job, but seemed very stressed out so probably won't stay very long! There no music, cold food, I was missing toppings on my hash browns.... I just wanted to hurry up and get out of there. I had two friends from Washington state with me who had never been to a Waffle House. They'd heard horror stories about terrible food and disgusting Waffle Houses and were afraid to try it for the first time. Fortunately, those horror stories didn't play out here. We arrived at 7:30 am and had great service from the get go. All the food we ordered came out within minutes, was hot and tasted like a normal breakfast at any chain. Today was dad and son day ! So we had decided to go to have breakfast here with the surprise that one of the cooks did not like to wear his mask while cooking . I brought this to the attention of the waitress and she asked me "would you like me to ask him to wear his mask?" I said "if he is cooking our meal , yes please " He place his mask without the waitress telling him to do so . But not even one minute later he was not wearing his mask again. Tired, hungry and facing a major traffic backup on my way to NYC, I stopped at this Waffle House. I gave my order and as the waitress yelled it out I watched the mananger and two others say they didnt want to do it. Yolanda (another server who was watching dishes) over heard it and and made my order herself. The others just stood around doing nothing and complaining. Customers were the last priority. All this happened while the manager was there. My original waitress never checked on me and. Several sat with their backs turned to the customers. Surprisingly, this is my first ever visit to any Waffle House location. As much as I love waffles, you would've thought I've been many times, but I just never felt the need to go. We sat down and ordered one of their breakfast meals: waffle, toast, ham, eggs and hash browns for around $8 I believe. There's definitely good value here, a place to go when wanting a sit down breakfast without spending too much. However, I just don't see myself coming back. Great service can only take you so far and I don't think the food does their service justice. If you call yourself Waffle House you may want to have great waffles. Maybe they do, but the ones we received weren't much better than a frozen waffle. The hash browns were barely edible and I absolutely love hash browns (even Denny's is good for me). The ham was surprisingly great and as I mentioned before, the service was truly as friendly as can be. I do have a small problem with their description of 'smothered' being one lonely cheese slice melted on top. That's not smothered!!!
