Not what it used to be... Waffle house used to be an institution but now it is a pale shadow of what it used to be. The whole inside used to be covered with pictures of menu items. These days you get a two sided menu with a very weak selection. I used to get steaks at Waffle House but there is no more steak on the menu. My service at this Waffle House location was non-existent other than having my order taken and delivered as I never got my drink refilled. I miss what Waffle House used to be as this is not recognizable as the old Waffle House... The ambiance used to be fun now it is just depressing. I ordered the Cheesesteak Melt and there was barely any cheese to make it a melt... Just sad... very sad! ONE extra star for being open 24/7! read more

I love Waffle House. The food is usually fresh quick and easy yet this Waffle House is unclean, they had no cups or silverware to gives us because they had no clean ones. Have been here multiple times and there is always horrible service or lack of. We have it another go and we sat for about 10 minutes with no one acknowledging us or anything. So we left and saw three workers smoking in the back outside. At almost every Waffle House you are greeted and at least acknowledged right away and told they will be with you in a minute. read more

It's called the WAFFLE House. Yet, there is only one guy - ONE guy - making the waffles AND he's also manning the toaster. My husband ordered the All Star, which includes eggs, a waffle, toast, etc. I ordered a waffle and hash browns. The waffles didn't arrive until we had already eaten everything else. I'm here eating nothing but a plate of hash browns for 10 minutes. It was that or wait for the waffle and let my hash browns get cold. You've got six waffle irons and one guy who is only making 2 at a time at most - in between toasting bread. Add another guy or change the name of the restaurant because your chance of getting an actual waffle in time is pretty small. read more

First visit today, won't be the last! Super friendly staff was very welcoming. Greeted us as we walked in the door. Team worked well together and got our order to us very fast. Food was very good. They were quite attentive as well, noticing that my wife's eggs were over easy and not over medium, as ordered. They quickly made her some over medium eggs. Sat there for 15 minutes and no one ever said, "I'll be right with you" took our drink order or even look at us. Every table was taken so I get that they were busy but one server started washing dishes after putting in orders. Terrible service. read more

It's Waffle House! Same food as they all have. Well cooked and tasty. Open 24/7 (major points...) Great service during each of our 3 visits here. Once at 9:00am, once at 9:00pm, and once at 1:00am. As someone who used to work here I have to be honest. It's not the workers who suck, it's the way the establishment makes the workers suck. They hardly pay ANYTHING, ((definitely not a living salary)), they give every server/cook god awful hours, and a lot of the times, if we are out of something or the restaurant is a mess, it's because management locks the doors to the freezer/back room (also where our cleaning supplies are). As soon as we came in nobody took us so we found a table to sit. We got our own menus and this lady came VERY RUDE by the way, when we got our food there was a HAIR on my plate!!! We immediately let the lady know and she started catching an attitude and went to the cook asked her if she saw a hair and all the employees gathered together and then the lady came back and asked us what it was that we saw, but when they gathered THEY TOOK THE HAIR OUT!!! Making us seem crazy and like we were seeing things! Then we told her to please remake it and she was so upset. Then later on another person eating their food FOUND ANOTHER HAIR !!! We told the lady, but before my sister took a picture of the hair, but it was a different hair much curlier and short not long like the first hair. She didn't fight about it that time because she knew we were right. We lost our appetite and when the check came they still expected us to pay the same amount!? Then I went to ask her if there was anything that she could do like a discount or anything for what happened she quickly said no but then asked the cook she said 30% off but the lady only took off less than 7 dollars not even the amount of the food plate. This place was dirty. The employees yelled rudely at one another until the manager came out. Windows, doors, and counters needed cleaning. Cook area was unacceptable. Service was awful. read more

Good food friendly service BUT bring your warmest coat and hat. These people are more worried about keeping the cook cool than getting customers. Still need a hat and parka and to eat quickly before the a/c makes the food cold. Mid South Waffles Inc. is still serving good food to FROZEN customers. Wish 0 stars was an option. Used to love eating here. I keep giving them more opportunities to redeem themselves but tonight was the last. My order is never right, there have been charges to my bill that i did not order, and there is never an apology. I understand food service can be stressful but having basic interpersonal skills may have gotten at least 2 stars on this review. I guess management is to blame. Sat inside for 20 min. Didn't even get our drinks taken. Servers did not even seem to recognize we were there. We sat at a dirty table as none of the tables were cleared of plates. Will not be returning any time soon. ****UPDATE**** Just returned with my mom and step dad, they really wanted some waffles and came against my recommendation. We sat for about 20 min. At a dirty table(none were clean) Before a very overworked waitress named Bre came and helped us SHE WAS WONDERFUL!! She seemed to be the only person doing her best. There were two other waitresses who pretty much sat on their butt the whole time. The cook seemed incapable of remembering what was ordered and gave her cold chili to bring us, and a barely cooked waffle. After asking the cook twice Bre eventually had to make our hashbrowns herself. The boss lady only ordered everyone around and the hour we were there I saw her take two smoke breaks and go to the bathroom to change her clothes. All without doing anything but talk. I feel really sorry for Bre, and hope that the operator finds her better management and coworkers. read more

This place is a joke. They make up the rules as they go. One night it will be full service with dine in and everything and the next night it will be to go only. There is never a reason given and there is never a way to know until you get to the restaurant. If you think it is because of covid you have got it all wrong. The mask mandate has been lifted and restaurants may open at full capacity. Employees rarely have masks on and are generally rude about why they are not open for dine in. Waitress Cierra deserves negative three stars. Waited in her section for 25 minutes before I had to ask ANYONE to get my drink order. This is the second time I've been seated at her table and the second time was worse than the first. Our food was cold, her attitude was terrible (not just her's, but every employee). My husband and I usually frequent here on Sundays after the lunch crowd. Sometimes it's a little chilly, sometimes it's just right. Sometimes you get a sour waitress that complains about the other workers the whole time you're there but for the most part, everybody is nice and attentive. Not sure who Randy is, assuming he's a manager, but I witnessed him thanking each worker for their hard work that day and that he appreciated everything they do. We always come back. read more

First and foremost... The waffle was limp and cold. Even after I specifically asked mine be cooked a little longer than the usual. It was only slightly done. And again, COLD! I suppose that were it not the WAFFLE HOUSE this would not be such a big deal. The waitress (mid 30's, 50 lbs overweight, dark hair, glasses, Caucasian) got all our orders wrong. She was apparently more interested in flirting with, and feeling up the cook than taking care of her customers. I'm sure the cook (late 30's, average weight and height, sort of handsome, Hispanic) liked the attention, but it was very uncomfortable to witness. The restaurant was quite dirty. This was my complaint last time, the unclean tables and bar, but I chose not to write a review that time. I honestly cannot imagine my ever choosing to have breakfast there again. read more
