Double order of hashbrowns all the way without gravy. Pass the EKG machine.

This isn't a shining example of what a Waffle House is supposed to be. I almost said screw it and left but decided to stick it out. Should have left. From the time I walked in the door to leaving it was a solid hour and twenty. For Waffle House. While sitting there saw two groups of people walk out after sitting for 15 minutes. Insane. The manager was clearly stressed by the situation and started slamming plates around, talking loud, etc. He probably isn't paid enough to care but I can respect hard effort and decorum. I know it's a Waffle House off the expressway...but still. There was a level of basic cleanliness missing from this location, and the 3 peeps working had their hands completely full. I mean the place was packed at 730pm (?) with tables yet to be cleaned, trash to be emptied. It feels like they were short at least one person and one was new. Either way I have seen three Waffle House employees kill it at other locations. I am just going with 2 stars because the food was still Waffle House quality and the employees were working hard. But if you are reading this you might want to just skip it and go somewhere else.

The food left much to be desired. Our table of 7 ordered a variety of dishes such as the Rise and Shine, Country Breakfast Skillet, a pancake, and breakfast sandwich. The grits were watery with zero salt or butter. We tried to doctor them up by adding lots of salt and butter but it was useless The eggs had no salt or pepper although they do a nice job of cooking over easy eggs which some places fail at. Homefries, which were really hasbrowns, were mushy and bland. The pancake was dry. The bacon and toast were good.

Farm-Fresh Flavor with a Side of Small-Town Charm - Breakfast at The Farmer's Daughter in Urbana,…read moreOhio If you ever find yourself cruising through Urbana, Ohio with a hunger that only a hearty, home-cooked breakfast can satisfy, do yourself a favor and stop at The Farmer's Daughter. It's the kind of place where the biscuits are fluffy, the coffee's always hot, and the welcome is as warm as the griddle. This morning, we popped in for breakfast, and from the moment we stepped through the door, we knew we were in good hands. That feeling was confirmed when Holly, our waitress, greeted us with a smile and the kind of friendly service that makes you feel like a regular--even if it's your first visit. I went all-in with The Hog Log, and let me tell you, this is not your average breakfast burrito. It's a hearty wrap filled with sausage, bacon, ham, scrambled eggs, and cheese, all rolled in a soft flour tortilla and smothered in rich, homemade sausage gravy. Every bite had that perfect balance of smoky, creamy, and savory flavors--and the gravy? Next-level delicious. My wife ordered Uncle Dave's Favorite Breakfast, which comes with your choice of pancakes or French toast, eggs done your way, a breakfast meat, and toast. She chose pancakes, bacon (crispy but not burnt), whole wheat toast, and eggs over medium. The pancakes were fluffy and golden, the bacon had that perfect crisp, and the eggs were cooked just right--firm whites with warm, runny yolks. It was classic comfort on a plate. The décor is classic country diner meets local charm--think rustic wood accents, sweet signs on the wall, and the kind of vibe that makes you want to slow down and savor the morning. Whether you're a local or just passing through Champaign County, The Farmer's Daughter is worth the stop. The portions are generous, the food is fresh, and the service--especially from folks like Holly--makes the experience even better. So go ahead, order the Hog Log. Or Uncle Dave's. Or both. You'll thank me later. Sorry my camera wasn't working so no pictures Take the Trip, your Next Adventure is waiting. #TakeTheTripByBrian

I started with an espresso martini before my Benedict Your Way with smoked salmon, and it was so good that I had to have another one after my meal! Smooth, delicious, and the perfect way to bookend a great breakfast. And then there was the Benedict. I substituted the English muffin for a biscuit, added smoked salmon, and asked for extra hollandaise. Life changing. The biscuit was such a delicious upgrade with the smoked salmon, eggs, and that rich, creamy hollandaise. I honestly didn't want the meal to end. But the real finale was the crème brûlée. Absolutely perfect. The caramelized sugar on top had that beautiful crisp crack when I broke into it, while the custard underneath was silky, creamy, and perfectly balanced. Not too sweet, just rich enough, and the contrast between the delicate caramelized topping and smooth custard was exactly what a great crème brûlée should be. Paired with my last espresso martini, it was an incredibly satisfying way to finish the meal. My only reason for giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that I'd love to see a few more vegetarian and pescatarian options on the menu. Otherwise, Ellie's is a lovely place with genuinely friendly people, great food and drinks, and that warm Yellow Springs charm. I'm happy to support them and will definitely be back!

Owner and Chef Theresa has invested a lot to make the restaurant and property beautiful. Chef and I share the same Polish heritage and Perogies are a staple. That is what brings me back here. To sit in an historical place and enjoy the best Perogies I have ever eaten. Perfectly filled, prepared, and served in a delicious butter sauce with sautéed onions. We also enjoyed the Spinach Artichoke Dip with Pita which was full of flavor, as well as the gooey Broccoli Cheddar Soup. I also, enjoy the Salmon with Horseradish sauce over a bed of risotto, and spinach. My wife had the grilled Romain salad which was very unique and tasty. All in all each visit to the Inn has been pleasant with great service, and food. Give it a try. Thanks Theresa for your Air Force Service and making this place amazing.
