I came here with an elderly friend that was celebrating his 73rd birthday. Happy Birthday. Originally he wanted to go to Ihop on hwy 92 but the place had a 30-45 minutes wait. (This was Sunday. So every Biddy and Bop were out trying to catch a bite.) Next we went called J. Christopher's in downtown Woodstock and they said it would be a 45 minutes to an hour wait....this was 10:45 AM. So we went to plan "Z" which was Waffle House. I haven't been to a Waffle House in years. Back in the days when I didn't have two nickles to rub together. This was my haunt. I'd get the hash brown loaded with all the works....now if I eat that stuff I have to drink a whole bottle of Mylanta to stop the heartburn....ah isn't great getting old? We came in and immediately we were greeted by Rebecca-one of the friendliest waitresses I've ever met. She wasted no time in bringing out a couple mugs of hot coffee and gave us a few minutes to decide on what we wanted. I got the blueberry waffles $3.65...only because I had a Guinness beer brat dog at Race Trac this morning....I know. Talk about Mylanta....I might need Zantac also.... My blueberry waffles were good. It was nice and tender and had the perfect amount of blueberries. Not too much and not too little.... My friend got the Cheese egg special for $7.15. You get cheese eggs (cooked anyway that you want) along with raisin toast, grits and bacon (that bacon was good.....I broke off a few pieces when he wasn't looking...) The coffee were $1.85. All in all it was about $17 bucks and change for a nice hearty breakfast. You can't beat it. Our waitress Rebecca was a sweetheart. Not only did she get the food out to us in no time. She even turned down the music for my friend when he complained it was too loud....Kudos to her for all around great service! I had a great experience here. When I called them to complain, the girl who answered didn't even apologize and hung up on me when I said I was frustrated that my only recourse was to come in and get the item myself (the whole point of ordering delivery is...to not have to go and get it yourself, right?). We needed to go out for breakfast, and Waffle House was the only place open. Needed?! Yep; sealed the kitchen granite last night and had to keep off it for 24 hours. Not much open Christmas day. I didn't grow up with Waffle House(s). Based upon dumb jokes about the food, the staff and everything else, I never expected to like it. But -- son-of-a-gun -- I had a great breakfast, starting with the coffee. Strong and good. The fiesta omelette was fluffy, with zing; much better than what I'm served at that giant pancake chain. My biscuit tasted like a crumpet and their hash browns -- even plain -- were good, like crispy Ore-Idas.. This location opened a few months ago. It's clean, the staff is friendly and I noticed a number of clientele who apparently were "regulars," bringing their favorite servers Christmas gifts. How could you beat that?! read more

This used to be the best Waffle House until our last 2 visits. In my experience- the cooks and waitresses have their own unique system of managing orders. However, at this location, Shawna (one of the Operational Managers) causes chaos. Not only is she incredibly demeaning and condescending to staff, especially our waitress (Kelly I believe was her name). This is our second visit where Shawna has been blatantly disrespectful towards Kelly, but also blamed Kelly for her screw up. Shawna threw plates of our food out at our last visit because she screwed up the system staff was using and therefore, didn't know where the food went. Our food didn't come. We paid for what we did consume and left. However, Shawna felt the need to blame Kelly in front of guests and other staff. Classless. Tactless. This morning, all Shawna does it take tickets from waitresses, scream to grab plates and cause confusion. The old system is way more effective. There is no reason to have a body standing behind an already crowded counter unless you're going to pitch in more than she does. Just my observation. Her disrespect and degrading tone towards staff is pathetic. We won't return, which is disappointing because we used to love this location. read more

My family and I have gone to this waffle house sense they opened. It WAS a great place to go. Now all we hear is the manager, Shawna telling everyone, she runs the place, it is her way! She is constantly putting down the people who work here. I have been coming here enough to know, when she is wrong about somethings. And if it is brought to her attention, she will say it is Not the waffle house way it is my way. I am the boss! She talks to the staff like they are beneath her. She also talks about the staff and how they can't do anything right. They can be busy, and it seems like everyone is doing just fine. She will walk around and look for something to yell about. They had orders that needed to go out, instead of helping the waitress carry them out, she stood there and just yelled at the server to move faster. And it was a large order (7 people) She is on a constant power trip! And you can tell she has never managed anyone or even worked at a waffle house before. Shawna has no business being a manager. At the very least, she needs to be trained and taught how to talk to people. I have seen all the manager's this restaurant has had. Shawna is by far the worst! You will/have lost a lot of faithful customers because of her and how she treats people! And apparently nobody looks at the reviews.. looks like I am not the only one to complain about her. So now the only thing left to do is call Corporate office and bring this to their attention. Let's see if they care how their customers feel. I feel sorry for the staff at this restaurant. They deserve better, Because they are saints to put up with what they do! The only reason we continue to go to this restaurant is the staff, Most of them are kind and great with my grandkids. Stopped in for breakfast and will travel the extra 10 minutes to go to this Waffle House from now on. Staff was friendly and really efficient. Food came out perfect, medium eggs were not runny, hash browns and bacon crisp. Very clean and adhered to COVID protocols. Will be back next weekend! read more

I moved to the south, from New England, in February and I have been told countless times to try the Waffle House. So today I did just that. I ordered cheese eggs, a waffle and bacon. The cheese eggs were perfect. Not too soggy, not to hard, fluffy and filling. They definitely didn't skimp on the cheese. The waffle was buttery and light, probably the best waffle I've had ever. The bacon however was hard and room temperature. The staff was friendly and helpful, good customer service. This place gives you the mom and pop diner feel while still being a chain. Definitely will return, just not for the bacon. read more

When we entered this Waffle House all the booths were taken except one that was dirty. No one really said anything until Chris (whom I later found out was the manager) came over and said he'd get the booth cleaned. He didn't just clean it he THOROUGHLY sanitized the table and the seats and even moved the condiments and wiped behind there.... which is not usually the case for a typical Waffle House experience. This has to be the worst run Waffle House on earth. The place was packed yet there were probably more employees behind the counter than customers and they still couldn't get our orders right. We waited 20 minutes for a table and when one cleared it took another 5 minutes before any of the staff took notice and cleaned it off and sat us even though there were several employees just standing there. And when we finished I stood at the register for several moments to pay my bill even though the same employees were just standing there. They had two managers there and it was still a chaotic mess. I've worked in restaurants so I am sympathetic but this was really poorly managed. I don't expect much in the way of service at Waffle House but this was absurd. read more

Stopped in this Waffle House for a quick lunch. Waitress must have been having a terrible day. She was rude and moved at super slow speed. If you're going to be in the customer service industry, check the attitude at the door. The cook was fantastic and my food was perfect. He saved the experience. There is a Waffle House on every corner. She should consider a career change if she's that miserable here. read more
