It's always an adventure when me and the boys come here after work. One time we had a 3 hour long philosophical conversation with the staff, another time I won a hat by winning a bet with the staff that I couldn't eat an All Star with 2x hash browns and 6 waffles in 15 minutes. One time a dude showed us his homemade sword, knives, and battle axe in the parking lot. This is by far the worst Waffle House I have ever been to. We sat down probably around 1-1:30 or so and nobody said a word to us for literally 20 min. We were completely ignored by all staff When we finally decided just to get up and leave. A worker came out and just said "if yall want better service and shit come to Norman." In front of my 3 and 5 year old kids. I hope this place shuts down soon so something good can take its place. I placed an online order the pickup time was 12:48 when I arrived the restaurant was not busy. Not one employee acknowledged I was standing at the counter waiting. When it was acknowledged that I was standing there and questions were asked about my order since the time was now 12:52 the other waitress stated there were other orders in front of mine and it had not been started. I needed to wait 15 more mins. The table seated that ordered as no one acknowledged me received their food as I was still waiting on my order that I placed over 30 mins prior. I decided I would go elsewhere. This morning I have tried to contact the Waffle House for a refund and to my surprise a person can not talk to anyone at the Waffle House. When you call the restaurant it directs you to place an order online. When you go online it directs you to call the store if you have any questions. They are no longer accepting customer feedback over the phone..... The customer service hotline led me to an online form to fill out for my inconvenience however when you go back to their website there is not an online form to be filled out about my visit to this Waffle House. So I am still trying to get a refund for food I never received for some of the poorest service in the industry starting at their top level and working all the way down to the restaurant employees. I will never spend one more dime at the Waffle House. read more

You sit at the counter, and they make your food right in front of you. And everything is cooked in butter. Unabashed and gratuitous use of butter. It's almost sexy. We came here after a late night, standard, and the place wasn't too busy so we took our table, were brought our drinks, and then proceeded to sit there for the next 30 minutes while the wait staff refused to acknowledge us. Apparently it was Prom Night, so as we sat several dressed up parties arrived and had their orders taken while we sat, ignored. The staff seemed disinterested in doing much beyond standing around. I made eye contact with our "waiter" a couple of times and waved at him, he nodded back, never coming to our table. We normally love Waffle House so this was a disappointing experience. read more

I used to go to the Waffle House when I was in my late teens and 20's. I forgot just how bad this place was. I noticed that a lot of them around where I live have gotten face lifts and some new ones were even popping up. So I thought I'd give it a try. It has been 20 years since I have been to one and it will be 20 years before I come back. I had a waffle. It was OK. Thinner then I remember. My wife and son had the biscuits and gravy. Gross. Gross and gross. Biscuits were weird. Gravy tasted like they used very old grease to make it. Just nasty. My coffee cup had a stain ring that I didn't notice until I was half way through my cup. (I hope it was just a stain). The pecan pie was nasty. Service was terrible. And I forgot just how much I don't enjoy watching a kitchen. I hate watching so many violations. Here is a gin Waffle House. Just because a cook has gloves on it doesn't mean they can touch anything they want to and then go back to cooking. Gloves are to protect the food from your hands. They are not to protect your hands from everything you touch. Please change the gloves more often. read more

At noon on Black Friday, the restaurant wasn't packed but it had a steady flow of customers. The food was good as always, no complaints there. But I wanted to give a shoutout to the staff that worked today. They were friendly and efficient. I've never sat on the bar stools before but it was great to have a front row seat of the grill masters at work! I was super impressed at how they worked together and how fast they were! We went on a daddy daughter date for breakfast she wanted pancakes for breakfast after getting in and sitting down and getting our drinks I realize that waffle house does not serve pancakes oh what a sad look on my little girls face when she realize that they didn't have pancakes but our waiter went above and beyond took the waffle batter and mixed it with some milk to make it a little thinner and made my little girl a pancake and how did he make her day. Stopped here on the way home to Fort Worth, Texas, from Oklahoma City, for some breakfast with my mom, aunt, and grandma today around 10:45 a.m. We are Waffle House fans, anyway, but this was definitely my favorite, and I have eaten at several locations in a few different states. Marcus and Sam prepared our food perfectly and promptly. Our server, Matt, was attentive, patient with my grandma, friendly, and funny. My aunt got a kick out of another server, Jaime's, personality as she called the orders out for her customers. Great food, excellent service, and a very enjoyable stop. Very amazing, even with the coronavirus going on. We sat outside for a few minutes due to the store being at max Capacity, but once we were in it was fast service. The staff was amazing for being overloaded by the amount people that were in the position I was - craving waffles- there was a line outside but it was moving very quick. My coffee was never empty and the food was good. I made the right decision driving 30 min to the one open Waffle House. The only down side was the ones in Norman were closed. But I am very glad that I went to this store! read more
