I decided to come here yesterday for a burger after reading such bad reviews of 2 different Hardee's in the area. I usually get breakfast at Waffle House , but I remember my son getting a burger once and it was pretty good and this location had good reviews. It's the slow season so no customers when I sat down , but later a couple came in and got pork chops. I got the Bacon Cheeseburger Deluxe Platter. Since they don't serve French Fries only Hashbrowns or Grits , I got Hashbrowns with Jalapeños and Ham added. If I would've gotten breakfast I would've gotten the Grits. The burger was pretty good and the Hashbrown combination was a winner , a lot better than just plain with ketchup. Service was pretty good and the place was clean. They give a Veterans Discount and I would've paid more for the Cheeseburger , Fries , and Drink at Hardee's. I lived in Las Vegas for over 30 years and we sadly didn't have a Waffle House so whenever I visited the South I would always go to one or two during my visits. Now I retired and moved to Oklahoma and we have one about 15 minutes from our house yea. read more

I have never been to a waffle house! I sat down and picked a window seat and looked over the menu. Luca was my server. He was so genuine and friendly during my visit. He checked on me often and got me the check as I was going to ask for it. I got the all star special and it was the perfect breakfast. Food was amazing. It only took us 20 minutes and me asking after we were sat to get our drinks, and they didn't even get us all our drinks. It seemed like we were an inconvenience to our server. Not sure if it was his first day on the job or not. But he never asked if we needed anything to go with our meals such as condiments, no refills on our lukewarm coffee , and once we were finished he never came over to ask if we needed boxes we had to ask him while he was standing near us. The wait for our food was a bit on the longer side--not super slow, but just long enough to notice. It wasn't a huge issue, though, because the vibe of the place was relaxed and welcoming. While we were getting a little impatient, the atmosphere and the great service helped make the time pass more enjoyably. A big reason the wait didn't bother us much was because of Luca--hands down one of the best servers I've ever had. He was not only incredibly attentive but also hilarious, keeping us laughing the entire time. His personality lit up the table and made the whole experience memorable. Last day of vacation we stopped by for a bite before hitting the road. Not too busy but VERY disorganized. We waited 12 minutes for a table to be cleaned ( there were four that needed to be cleared), then waited for our order to be taken and again waited for the slip so we could pay our bill. Maybe this was a training exercise or an 'off' day, but no one should spend 47 minutes waiting time for a 10 minute meal. read more

I have only been to a Waffle House two times before my trip to Myrtle Beach. I must say this experience has changed my perspective on Waffle Houses. Me and my boyfriend went in to this specific location multiple times on our trip. We were always seated quickly after we arrived and greeted by a server. The service was always great and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food never disappointed. It was very consistent from 9 am to 11 pm. We never had problems with anything we ordered and they got us our correct food in a timely manner every time. We did have to order online once because the dining room closed at 11:30, but the food was hot and just as good as dining in. The restaurant was fairly clean and seemed like it was kept up well. I would recommend this Waffle House location to anyone staying in Myrtle Beach! read more

The food is good, the staff is friendly, and the price is reasonable. I'd love to be able to get French toast, but it's not on the menu. Everyone is is busy, but they take the time to check on you while you're dining. The atmosphere is what one would expect in a small diner. I've always enjoyed Waffle House breakfasts and this morning was no exception. It was good as usual. However the server, Rachel, made my dining experience remarkable. Rachel was warm and friendly. The store has a lower capacity than regular but it's just enough for one server to run it all. The food came out quickly and it all was delicious. We came during a bit of a rush and the server kept high spirits and got her job done well! Do not go at/ after 9 pm and expect to place a Togo order. The 3rd shift doesn't do Togo orders. I see from other reviews them not picking up the phone is normal. The food was really good, but the service was okay. We went around 5 pm. It was not busy. Our server seemed like she hated her job and couldn't wait to go home. She didn't smile or make any kind of conversation (didn't ask how we were or anything like that). When we asked for a high chair for our son, she pointed towards the corner, with no words. This was probably the worst place we have eaten while on vacation, stopped for a quick dinner and needless to say quick it was not and the waitress was terrible. We would not recommend this place to anyone. When we where seated she never came back to ask how the food was or to see if we wanted any refills on our sodas or water. After we were done eating she never came back with our checks so we got up and went to the register, come to find out she was texting and not paying attention to her customers and then proceeds to hand us our bills to figure out who's was who's instead of handing us our correct receipt. I live on the oceanfront and my neighbor from Va. came into town and invited me to the new Waffle House. I had been wanting to go there so I was excited about it. When we arrived, after washing my hands, I joined my friend at the table that the server was wiping down. The first thing I noticed was how loud the music was. I asked our server Miriam if it could be turned down that I have tinnitus and it was really bothering me. The music was powerfully loud! And was bothering my friend too. She went over and asked one of the ten or so people working there to turn it down. (there were only two other couples in the dining room). It was turned down a little but was still blasting and there was one woman employee singing along with it annoyingly loud too. I asked if it could be turned down a little bit more. She went back over and I could see them all arguing angrily with her and looking at us. Of course I couldn't hear what they were saying. Then the music went down so low we could barely hear it at all. After about a minute of that, it went back up to it's original high volume. The woman who was singing loudly with it came over and hollered at me (while wiping a tray) that someone had put money in the jukebox and that they have the right to hear their music. It was only out of respect not to embarrass my friend that I didn't get up and leave right then. I was in agony sitting there between that loud music and the tinnitus in my ears and I couldn't even have a conversation with my friend. There is an old slogan in the restaurant business that states "Just one trial makes a regular customer". In this case, the slogan is "Just one trial ensures you will never return". The environment was just downright trashy and I felt as though we were sort of in the way of a party they were having or something like that. The restaurant really needs an experienced manager. The quality of the workers you get in this part of town is poor but a good experienced manager who is not afraid of them could really turn the place around. It was noon on a Saturday with 6 customers in the place. May we please have a decent Waffle House in our neighborhood? Please? There's another old saying, "Locals keep the lights burning". One star is too much. We were there at 8:30 pm. We love Waffle House but this visit was so pathetic we just had to laugh. I guess there was a change in shift because there were 10 employees there to serve 3 customers. Ordered steak and eggs - a pathetic 1/4 inch something resembling steak was brought out 15 minutes before the egg dishes with my sausage. Cold eggs, cold toast and cold hash browns. We ordered hash browns with onions, which costs extra. There were no onions. We brought it to our servers attention and she said that short of "fishing around in our hash browns looking for onions" she would take it off the bill. She did not have to adjust the ticket because she didn't put it on the order. We felt sorry to have bothered them during whatever work issues they were having. Our apology for burdening them with our presence. Not to worry, we will never come back and will never go to any Waffle House anywhere, ever. Good riddance to us. read more

If I could rate this negative stars I'd give it negative 10. First, everyone else I was with was served before me. When I got my burned waffle there was a hair on it and when someone spoke up about it not only was the supervisor Destiny visibly annoyed, a server Haley who had nothing to do with the situation seemed to be annoyed as well. Not only were Destiny and Haley annoyed they were fucking rude. On several different occasions even said my family and I should've gone to McDonald's. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I hope these two get fired and never get rehired in food service. read more
