Stopped by Waffle House for breakfast at dinner time and honestly, that somehow made it even better. Got the All Star Special with scrambled eggs, bacon, white toast, scattered smothered covered and country hashbrowns, a pecan waffle, and a water. The hashbrowns were easily the highlight. Crispy underneath, loaded with cheese, onions, and gravy, and just straight comfort food. The bacon and eggs were cooked right, and the toast tied everything together. The pecan waffle was really good too. Warm, soft in the middle, slightly crisp on the edges, and packed with pecans. Perfect mix of sweet with the rest of the meal. There's just something about sitting in a Waffle House at night that adds to the experience. The place had that classic diner energy, the staff was friendly, and the food came out fast and hot. This Waffle House gets five stars from me, because it delivered 100% of what I expected from a Waffle House. The place was packed with good ol' boys, the service was friendly, prompt, and quick to refill your coffee, the flattop grill kept wonderful aromas wafting around the building all the time, and the food itself was delicious and plentiful. I got one of their hashbrown bowls. It was nice. I kind of wish there was an option to put it all into a gigantic burrito, but hey, Rome wasn't built in a day. I also got a pecan waffle with chocolate and peanut butter chips. So good. Their waffles are one of the very few things on planet Earth that haven't changed since I was a boy. Thank God. Every seat was taken. Timing was good as they were just cleaning up a booth. Met here for a short business meeting. Robert kept our coffee cups full with steaming hot, fresh coffee. He was very attentive, and conscientious not to interrupt the conversations. We were communicating with smiles and sign language....lol Afterwards we decided to stay and get a little breakfast. It's served here all day long. Rogan took over our booth. Very pleasant and personable. Sharp young man looking to tackle the world. This is my 4th visit to this Waffle House. I love these "old timey" cafe type places. The staff is friendly and I enjoyed chatting with them. I got the All-Star Special, with the biscuit and Hashbrowns (with sausage gravy) and the sausage patties. Just like twice before (the first visit I also made an entry for). All of my visits have been at dinner time, so why get a killer breakfast meal??? Because it is a great, filling meal, for a wonderful price! I won't be in town for much longer, but I'll be back at least once a week while I'm here! read more

12/9/24. We walk in to a full house so we wait to sit at a booth. Our server finally cleans it and we sit down. He proceeded to wait to call his order out to the cook for about 5 minutes. The couple that walked in behind us sat down got greeted and their drinks by another server. A young couple comes in and stands by his dirty table and said hey can we sit here? I looked at my husband and I said very loudly NO you can have our seat we sat down about 5 minutes and still haven't gotten greeted or menus or even drinks but those people walked in after us and they got all that. I truly hope management reads this. The wife and I have grown fond of this location. Unlike most every chain restaurant on the map Waffle House continues to deliver consistent food and service. No it's not 5 star food but it is fresh, properly prepared in a very orderly fashion. Being retired Certified Executive Chef after 45 years it's nice to feel welcomed and get what we have come to expect every visit. Typically we would visit this location 2-3 times weekly. That is no more!! Last three visits were disgusting. The nasty loud hip hop blasting juke box blaring while trying to enjoy our visit and meal impossible. What was the ridiculous part was being told 1. No one could go in the offices and either turn it off or even lower the volume. After three such visits both breakfast and dinner it's three and done. I hate this. We actually got where we would be looking forward to Waffle House. It is close to home, enjoyed the staff and value for our dollars. I hope the store on Nine Mile at University can fill the void we now have. If this were a local pub, or sports bar environment a juke box is typical, but Waffle House? Might have caught them the 'C' or even 'D' squad on my most recent visit here. Keeping this short for the low rating. Placed a simple order off the menu (waffle, hashbrowns, and cheesesteak bowl). Waffle was for kid and it came out 5-10 minutes after everything else. And when it came out, it look barely cook. There is more to it but I'm going to leave it at the service here sucks and I won't be going back to this location. read more

Wow! Without a doubt, this Waffle House has given me the best service I've ever received at a restaurant in my life. We came for a quick breakfast on our way to Ft Myers and I am so glad that we did. We were greeted by smiling faces and sat at a nice clean table. We were shortly after tended to, we got our drinks and orders quickly. I got the All American, which was delicious. The bread and jelly was fresh and soft, the waffles themselves were absolutely delicious, and the cheesy hash browns were some of the best I've ever had. However, my absolute favorite part of this trip by far was Barbara, the very friendly district vice president. She came to our table to make sure we were are alright and started a conversation. We had a very nice talk about how she got to this restaurant, her family, and how long she's been working here. She was incredibly nice, and a pleasure to talk to and be with. She left our table after and went to another, making sure everybody was having the best time possible. She was absolutely wonderful, and I suggest with all my heart that you go to this Waffle House! From incredible service to delicious food, this Waffle House is one of the, if not the best Waffle Houses in Florida. I never thought I would give a stellar review to a Waffle House, but when it's earned, it's earned. First, let me start by saying the food is Waffle House food. You love it or you don't. You're not going to get 5 star cuisine here. But, I will say that the food was hot when it was served. This is not nearly a common enough occurrence. I literally watched it get plated and set in front of me in less then a minute from the grill. But the real reason for the 5 star review is the service at this place. Seriously, I've never seen such a friendly staff. I walked in and was immediately greeted. There were probably 7 or 8 people working behind the counter, and every one of them talked to me during the 30 minutes or so I was in there. This does not seem like an isolated occurrence as the staff seemed to know everyone in the place. The fact that a Waffle House has such a group of devoted regulars that keep coming back should say a lot about the service there. I have been in the service industry from 25 years, and this place does it right. read more

I eat here at least once a week for past 3 years. I'm a big guy and like my food. My order is normally $20+ and always tip 20-30% , on New Years they had 4 open booths in which I sat down at, I was approached by a new employee I've never seen before and told I couldn't sit in a booth because they were reserved for larger groups even though there was 4 empty booths and I'd be in and out in under 20 min being I'm by myself. He said I had to sit at the bar. Bar stools are uncomfortable that's why I sat at a booth. So I left. I will no longer visit this location, so $20 meal minimum once a week, that's $960 a year you just lost out on! And some weeks I visit more than once. Fix your staff, customer service should be the main focus read more

We had a great time at this location. All of the staff were super friendly and gave our little ones adorable WH hats that look like the ones from Cafe Du Monde in Nola, where we are from! The staff made us feel comfortable and their witty banter was entertaining. The bathrooms were very clean and our food was delicious. We drove out of our way to come to this one because of the rating and reviews on Yelp. Our server was sweet and attentive and was right there with everything we needed before we even had time to ask, but the good news ends there. The waffles were badly undercooked. I had steak and eggs and the eggs were fine but the steak was really tough. I was the only one of us who finished their food.
