Just ate here and everything was amazing and I do mean everything from the food to the customers service very clean environment every time I come pass this area I always have to stop here

    Inattentive staff

Absolutely horrible! Not busy yet was ignored for at least 10min! not one person greeted me! My food was slow, incorrect and rude staff! I used to work here and we were proud of our clean building and great work staff. Becva has left and it all went to shit! ExExcuse the language but I work in customer service and this is NOT IIT! EAT ELSEWHERE!

Never had Waffle House before so had to stop on the way home from Virginia. The all star special breakfast came with a waffle, bacon, eggs, biscuit and hash browns all for $11. Such a great deal and if all tasted delicious. You can watch the employees cook everything too. The service here was good, nice and friendly people.

8/29/20 not the best tasting waffles I've had, but the bacon was nice and crisply.

8/29/20 On our way to Virginia Beach and the time is now 23:52. To keep ourselves awake, we stopped by The Waffle House. I haven't been to one if these places in a while. Mike was our server and Lex was our cook. The service my Mike was fantastic. He would have sung a song, but I didn't have him go through with it. Lex was our cook. Lex was busting her ass to get the food out quickly, but using the up most care for food safty. We watched Lex change gloves repeatedly when handling raw food. Mike explained the check and how the balance came out. Due to how quickly the place filled up with clientele, Mike and the other two crew members had their work cut out for them, but I don't think they wouldn't want it any other way. As for the bathrooms, I did not check them out, but my wife did. The ladies room was okay, even if the ladies single bathroom was used by two sets of different women at the same time. Something I have seen done when they wish to get away from whatever guys they are with. Waffle House has good food most of the time, but this time around the waffles were very tasty for me. The bacon was delicious and this made up for the blueberry waffles with pecans. I will note Mike customers service also gives this review a 4 star status. The only reason this review isn't 5 stars, is the boogers I found at the edge of the table. The table needed a second wiping too. Aside from that, this place was good.

I love this place. It's great southern comfort breakfast food and nothing else. I got the double waffles and the Texas Patty Melt. The waffles were awesome of course but not as crispy as I remembered. I would still order them again. The Patty Melt was great as well. The coffee was ok. Not fresh but it was hot. Service was great. Very quick and friendly.

This is my absolute favorite Waffle House and I'm finally writing them the review they deserve. Hubby and I took a beautiful and scenic ride on the backroads from Williamsburg. This Waffle House is usually pretty busy and today wasn't an exception. Despite the chaos, we were able to snag two seats at the counter. Our Schriever came over after only a few minutes to take our order. She looked overwhelmed but was still friendly and had a smile on her face. We both got the All Star breakfast with a pecan waffle for me. This place has the best grits of any Waffle House I've ever been to. They're always fluffy and yummy not runny and gluey like some other locations. Everything was cooked perfectly and we were in and out in 20 minutes. We have a location that is closer to us but we will gladly drive the extra miles to come here instead.

It's nice to visit a Waffle House where the employees actually care about the experience that you have. And even though we rolled into this one at 6 a.m. and the staff was tired after a long night they worked their best to insure we had a great experience and that can be very rare at this chain. It's rare to have a cook tell you that breakfast is important to him anyone's every customer to leave having enjoyed their meal. That's what we experienced here. Hopefully the shift that you walk in on is as good as the one we did period They work their tail off to make sure that our order came out exactly as we ordered it. Those of you that frequent The Waffle House often know this isn't normally the case. It was here and we want to thank them for that.

I was tasked with phoning in the reservation (thankfully the meal went better than that debacle)and since we were dining early it wasn't an issue. First of all, there are two places in the property; the Tavern and 5 Fields pizza and beer. We dined at the Tavern. GORGEOUS garden lining the old farmhouse! We went in and were seated inside right away. As it was almost 100 today it was ideal seating. The decore is well.... different. Where we sat was a truck grill from 1928, and there was more of a sports motiff. (If you go and sit in the same room, let me know if you can spot the crooked pic!) Once again, my curse at remembering names of the servers has hit again which is a real sham because she was beyond AWESOME. She was VERY patient with my extremely frustrating mum which was nice. We both got this truly genius idea of an appetizer to start; a veggie boat with a ranch style dressing. Omg it was perfect. Warm day, cruciferous veggies, ice cold drinks. Heaven. Next came the burgers, she got the Tavern burger, I got the Charles City burger. The Tavern has cheddar cheese and bacon, the Charles City has bree cheese and this creamy mojo ajo aoli along with fried shallots....there is probably more but all I know is that I feel like an idiot never having triple creme bree on a burger before. I have to take a moment to also inform you that they make the BEST Cosmo outside of NYC. Perfectly blended and chilled, and just strong enough to celebrate a Friday night. Yowza! One.more thing. They tempted me with a scoop of their home made butter pecan ice cream. I just want to move in and become one with this place it was so good. I haven't had butter pecan this good in 50 years!! After this essay I guess you could say that I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant. It's in a beautiful area, lots of parking, great food & ambiance. I couldn't find a single fault.

It can get a little pricy, especially when you want to try all of the things, but the portions were plentiful and tasted delicious. We started with the cheese stick roulette, where they apparently prep a bunch of different cheeses for cheese sticks earlier in the week, and then just randomly grab six to deep fry when you order it. You have no idea what it is, they have no idea what it is. Pretty fun and delicious and we love cheese, so total win. We ended up cutting them in half just to check what they were before eating because the kids do not like anything remotely spicy and pepper jack is one of the cheeses, so we just had to verify it wasn't that so they could eat it and hubs and I ate those ones instead. I thought the tomato coulis it was served with was stellar, and the fruity jam was also amazing. I could not decide which one was better for dipping the cheesesticks in, and I ended up keeping both condiments when the cheesesticks were gone so I could dip my fries in them. A fantastic choice, they were both great with the fries. Which I might add, are AWESOME! They are scoopable fries. So... like a cross between potato skins and potato wedges. They were both crispy and soft and very unique and so worth the trip. They also use the cheese dip instead of just shredded cheese, so it stays creamy and gooey. All of the burgers sounded awesome and it took us a very long time to decide what we wanted (I had been looking at the menu days in advance to make sure I could decide) and we opted for the Southern Gentleman (pimento cheese, hot honey and fried chicken) and the PBJ and I can't decide which one I liked more. They were both completely different and completely delicious. If I had to make a recommendation... I'd say bring a friend, order one of each and split them like hubs and I did. Choices are for suckers. Kiddos opted for the cheese fries that he came for (which come with bacon, btw) and the kiddos cheeseburger meal, and they both loved them. The service was great too, even when this place was pretty darn crowded on a weekday lunch hour. Also, don't be fooled by the storefront driving by, this restaurant is waaaaaaaay bigger on the inside than it appears on the outside. There was plenty of seating. The music was a touch too loud, but they also had some yummy sounding specialty drinks, as well as a bunch of local beers. My kids have been asking to come back pretty much since we left the restaurant.

She was able to get us our drinks and orders pretty quickly despite working solo. I was the adventurous one in our group and ordered the pb and j cheese burger. Upon initial bite, it really tasted like a really well constructed burger. It was a double patty burger with white cheese. You don't really taste the jam. As you're chewing, the peanut butter comes out and it really makes the bite more creamy and definitely tastes of peanut butter. Overall, I would recommend fat boys for sure. Everyone thought the food tasted great and the portions were big. Definitely worth the trip!

It was excellent. Light, crispy, fresh with a few fried jalapeños for zing. The dip served with them was really good. I ordered fried oysters, which came with authentic hush puppies (which for this southerner means no sugar!) and I ordered the vegetable of the day (steamed broccoli) to sort of make up for the "fried". My husband ordered the grilled salmon. His salad was huge and the vegetables were so fresh that I filched some of his cucumbers. His salmon was amazing. It was perfectly cooked and it was so moist and tender. We will try to return if we are ever travelling this way again. Try The Salty Siren. It had more of a sweet, Miracle Whip-type taste that was a little off-putting for me. It may not be that way for you. My next callout would be the timeframe in which our server got to us. I will say that there had seemed to be some confusion about assigned sections but once he got there, he was a rockstar. Suggestion: switch the lettuce that's underneath the fish with cabbage. It's holds up much better and helps with presentation as well. Their tea and lemonade mix was so good I ended up getting two cups and even took one to go. I will add that I once ordered the firecracker shrimp through DoorDash, and while I could tell it's probably great in the restaurant, it didn't travel well as takeout.
