Cassidy was a horrible waitress, she forgot our waffles and we waited for an hour and a half for our food. When I asked about the waffle, she acted surprised that we ordered it and had to double check the receipt to make sure we weren't lying. I visited this location as I had to have the Hashbrown Bowl! It was calling my name as soon as I got off the interstate and saw the huge Waffle House sign. It was not crazy busy as it was early on a weekday. The sweet waitress took my Togo order of one Bacon Egg and Cheese Hash brown Bowl. I asked for the eggs to be over easy. After a very short wait, my perfectly hot order was ready for me to take it to work. The eggs were cooked beautifully, bacon just they way I like it, and crunchy hash browns. Even the coffee was better than many other WHs I've been to. Same simple Waffle House food but well above excellent service. I've been to many waffle houses in my day. I pulled up with a full parking lot and expected to have a long wait time for my to go order. It appeared to be an all black women staff. And I was a little white girl, kinda expecting to be treated differently (please,!it's not a race issue, but you know how a different race person can stick out and be treated differently l. Even if it was vice versa) These ladies working were all so busy, but continued to be extremely friendly and efficient!! The place was clean and the cook has to be the fastest and most organized cook I've ever seen at a Waffle House! I was in and out in less than 10 minutes and had a great time while I was there!! This Waffle House location is without a doubt the BEST BREAKFAST IN AMERICA! Not exaggerating. The most perfect hash browns ever, delicious sausage, fluffy scrambled eggs, the whole meal was hot & delicious. This staff knows what they are doing and how to do it quickly. I love to sit at the bar and watch the military precision of the cooks and the friendly wait staff while I scarf down their mouth watering meals! It's like watching a beautifully choreographed ballet. You know, there are so few people anymore who are really great at their jobs, it kinda renews my faith in humanity to watch six people in one place who are all excelling together, with delicious results! I make periodic road trips through Tallahassee and my perfect stop for the night is the Sleep Inn across the street (right off the highway exit, up on a woodsy hill back from the street noise, super clean, super quiet, next door to a gas station for a quick fill up), followed by the real reason I stay there - breakie at this Waffle House! Food took 15 minutes to come out, it was hot and "order accurate." All Star special breakfast was cooked right including the waffle. Side order of Sausage and Biscuits wasn't really good, didn't eat most of it. I only had water which was good. The price was great and I did leave a tip. The main issue here was cleanliness for me. We love Waffle House and eat at them all over the southern US. However this Waffle House you could slice the tension with a knife... I walked in a the manager made a place at the counter for us. Just as I was about to sit down an AM woman butted up against me and and pushed her way in front of me to pick up a bag that the manager had sat down over in front of another chair. Idk what that was all about but the manager profusely apologized to her. Anyways I blew it off and stood back till she walked to the door. There was a definite stench in the air... not sure what that was either? The manager stood behind us as we ate at the counter and directed traffic and watched over the employees. I was getting ready to order when I saw the cook take off his hat and wipe the sweat of his brow with his forearm and from that point on decided on a waffle since the sweat dripping off the cook made me not want to eat anything he made. So I only ordered a waffle since the waitresses make their own for their tables. When the food was ready Our waitress (who was nice) delivered my Waffle with a small container of butter sitting directly in the middle of my waffle. The small container of butter had someone's fingerprints (made out of food? Butter? Grease? Idk? all over the outside of the little tub that was sitting on my Waffle!!! Gross!! This is the best Waffle House I have ever visited. I am a fan of Waffle House because the food is good, cheap and fast. Maybe I like it better than Denny's or IHOP or any other chain because I do not have one near me. But who cares? The food is good, cheap, and fast. I am always a fan of that. Normally, though, I would rate a Waffle House no more than four stars. What made me give this particular location five stars? It is the über friendly service accompanied by our waitress' great singing voice. Who knew that a serenade dinner can come from Waffle House? If I could give zero stars, I would. I called in to place a pick up order, I was told that they don't do phone orders. I know this is a lie. But I still went there to place a to go order. I get in line behind two people. The first was just trying to pay their ticket, the second was trying to place a to go order like myself (was told the same on the phone), the two people behind us were there to pick up their phone orders (lol) and the group behind them just wanted to be seated but the tables were all dirty. The best part? The manager was there, solely for moral support. He did not even attempt to cash the first person out or even clean a table so that the group could sit down. Went to this Waffle House in April on our way to Disney World. Went in, sat down, and ordered something to drink. Took the waitress about 20 minutes to come back to take our order even though the place was completely empty. I made my order and just as my girlfriend was about to order I looked to my cup and luckily saw a young white cockroach climb up my class, onto the lip and wave it's antennae at us. The waitress grabbed the cup, said "hmm that's weird, that never happens" as she PLACED THE CUP BACK IN THE SINK WITHOUT GETTING RID OF THE COCKROACH! I for one know that when the cockroach is white it's still very young and many more are lurking around so off we went to somewhere a little cleaner. To be fair, this was in a semi wooded area of Florida so I can see bugs being a nuisance. Nauseously, A grossed out customer and his quickly fleeing girlfriend. read more

The fare is the standard Waffle House offering. Breakfast and grill items. I usually visit during the evening or late night. Usually have about an even ratio of customers to employees. Have never had an issue with cleanliness. Food's always been good and I have never recieved anything other than great service. The only two drawbacks that I can think of is that the inside temperature is usually frigid and if you park towards the rear you occasionally get a really good whiff of the grease trap. read more
