Waffle Love on Gattis School Road is an absolute gem in Round Rock. The food here is incredible--the classic waffles are perfectly crispy on the outside and fluffy inside, and ordering the waffle flight is a brilliant way to sample a few different flavors. If you're craving something savory, both the fresh Breakfast Sammy and the packed-with-flavor Chicken Avocado Tartine are must-tries. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The plating is beautiful, the restaurant has a fun, high-energy vibe, and the hospitality is next-level.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff is genuinely welcoming and clearly takes immense pride in their work. It's the ultimate breakfast or brunch destination, and I can't wait to bring friends and family back next time!

This was an unexpected pleasure. Got the flight of waffles and a chicken and waffle. The flight had grilled cheese and bisque, sunshine waffle with lemon curd and raspberry and chicken and waffle. Chicken was a tiny bit salty but it balanced out with the waffle and syrup. Beautifully crisp chicken. Bursting with flavor and extremely tender. We love coming here. The waffles always taste fresh, and the toppings are so delicious. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Waffles with a twist! I had what was like a waffle sandwich--bacon, egg, sauce, and cheese (which I removed) all between two waffles. Creative. The food was good. Despite it not being pack, it took a while for us to receive our food.

Waffle + Love makes sense to me so why not try a new spot out while in the area. Walking in the vibe is chill, has the feel of a food truck that's hit big and moved into a physical location. Had breakfast with my son (who eats a lot). Opted for the Chicken & Waffles, Grilled Cheese w/ tomato soup & the mini waffle sampler (opted for 3 with The Sunshine, Cinna Love & Churro). People, this place knows how to throw delicious flavors together with perfectly cooked waffles in the mix! After finishing, my son harassed me just enough to order an ice-cream sandwich and I ordered a Liege waffle for the road, as a nod to my Belgian ancestry. Everything was a hit! No complaints about anything! Favorite of the sweet was the churro. Favorite of the savory was the grilled cheese with the solid soup. Go & check it out. You will not regret it!

Both dishes were amazing! The place changed a lot since I was last there a year ago. The food was still Devine! If you're in the area and like waffles, you need to come here. I had the gluten free cinna love, my husband had the regular nutella love with banana. Just a note, the gluten free waffles are made in the same waffle iron as the regular waffle aka not celiac friendly. The worker was super friendly as well!

I was impressed by the selection of savory waffle options. I ordered the breakfast sammy ($12), and my friend ordered the dulce. The breakfast sammy is a breakfast sandwich with waffles on either side, and it was alright. The sausage tasted too strongly of black pepper, and it was very dry. The eggs were fine. I did like the waffles. The dulce is a sweet dessert with a huge lob of vanilla ice cream with corn flake cereal. Very creative and tasty, although the ice cream to waffle ratio I felt was too disproportionate. The portion sizes are not as big as specialty waffles that might be served as other restaurants, but it's a good size if you don't want to eat too much. We came here on a Sunday at noon, and the restaurant was maybe half full. It only took about 10 minutes for the food to come out.

It's a little place with a walk up counter. You place your order there and find a table. The food came out fairly quick. We ordered the sausage breakfast Sammie, chicken and waffles and a kids meal. My son wasn't a fan of the chicken nor the waffles. My grandson wouldn't eat his chicken tenders. I tasted it and understood why. Whatever seasoning they use doesn't go well with fried chicken. I've been wanting to try this place and found myself and decided to finally stop in. It was a holiday so there was more folks than I expected at noon. You order from the counter and they give you number. Drinks are self served for coffee, fountain, or water. In a fridge next to the order station is orange juice, apple juice, bottled water, and milks (regular and chocolate). Since this was my first time, I ordered the flight of 3. I asked the employee for their favorite - chicken and waffles - and also ordered Banana Love and Grilled Cheese and Bisque. It was definitely a mix of flavors - sweet, savory, and hearty. Playing top 40 type of music, folks are dressed comfortably, and the tables are a bit too close together but can easily to accommodate larger groups[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. Chicken and waffles. Had this one first. It served more like a main meal. Chicken was juicy, a bit more breading than expected but was easy to take it off. It was served with syrup and some sort of mayo/thousand island type mix. Grilled cheese & bisque. Had this one next. Should've been first because it had more of an appy feel. Waffles were nice and crispy, cheese was perfectly melted. I used the bisque for dipping but the also provided a spoon in case you want to continue on with it. Banana Love. Saved this one a dessert. The Nutella was pretty thick and a bit overpowering. The whipped cream was really good and banana looked and tasted fresh. Overall, very good and will eventually eat my way through the menu. The menu also offers sandwich type meals where the waffle acts as the bun. Those seem good for a real lunch.

Sat at curbside for 10 minutes after my told arrival time. Called 7 times and never once answered. I walk in and the cashier was right there by the phone. I get it you guys got high ratings and were a yelp 100, but either higher more people or don't offer a service you can't fulfill. At the point I got my food the waffles were cold and soggy. Not impressed at all and even if the food was warm I don't think it would of tasted much better. It is a shame because I had high expectations since my brother tried it months ago and loved it. I assume this place got too busy for its rating and started putting out less quality food. Avoid this place till they either get more staff and can do things right or get over the hype of being a top 100 and go back to quality. read more

Do NOT go here! First, I had to clean our table, food stuck all over it. In the COVID-19 times this is appalling. They had masks on and hand sanitizer on the counter, but dirty tables, come on! There was only two diners there, so not busy! My shoes stuck to the floor also, gross. The wait staff only came out to serve us and spent most of their time in the back. Looked like plenty of staff particularly since there was only two tables occupied. The second table was done eating when we came in. Second, we tried the chicken and waffles because of another reviewers comment. The waffles were nearly raw in the middle, the chicken was juicy, but bland - chicken needs spices, hello?! My first experience was my last experience. I waited almost an hour and a half for my order. It didn't seem crowded but due to short staff they were running extremely behind. Have gone here a few times and loved it each time! The service is friendly and speedy, not to mention the atmosphere is great as well. We picked this restaurant and placed our first order for the group meeting based on the good reviews, order number 2072885190. We were very disappointed that we were missing one order from our group orders, which is breakfast Sammy. Everyone else got to enjoy the food but one person. When I called several times to the restaurant, the lady finally answered but pretty rude, she asked me, do I want them to remake this or refund? not even an apology. I said I don't really have time to make another trip, please just refund it. 3 days later, I still haven't received the refund. Food is ok, but the customer service is terrible! read more

Saw Waffle Love on the new season of The Great Food Truck Race, and realized we have one right in our backyard! It was easy to order online and pickup for takeout (curbside pickup is also available). We each got a plate of Chicken and Waffles, which was delicious, and a Sunshine to split for dessert (waffle, lemon curd, raspberries, and whipped cream), which was the perfect balance of sweet and tart. The only thing we'd change for next time (which will be soon!) is that we could've split one Chicken and Waffles (one Chicken and Waffles plus one dessert waffle would be perfect for us). And we would've gotten another Sunshine to have as leftovers! read more

Established in 2017.

Waffle Love in Round Rock is a franchise of the Utah based Waffle Love. We are the only Waffle Love franchise in Texas but have plans to expand throughout the state shortly. We have brick and mortar location, a food truck, we cater and we rent out the restaurant for on-site private party events in the evenings!

The property has beautiful landscaping, and really helps you decompress. Danni and Mark manage the B&B, and they live on site. Danni is very friendly and she goes out of her way to make sure everyone is is having a great experience. Danni creates some of the best breakfasts that we have ever had, and her creations could be on any fine dining menu. We met Jeannie, the owner, and she was very nice. We also met some great guests, and one couple lives near us. We really connected and we will be going to lunch with them in two weeks. We will definitely go back and visit on our next trip to Georgetown.

Another waitress was at the hostess stand and waved and asked if we were alright and we said no one had taken our order. She went to the bartender and asked if our table was hers and she got up to come take it. Unfortunately, that was the last time we saw her until we were ready for the check and she only came then because I stood up to go get it from her.

He drank it anyway, but ordered something different for the second beer, which was much better. We decided to share the fried green tomatoes appetizer, a cheeseburger, and, for the first time ever, the famous whiskey cake. Usually we're too full to try dessert. Unfortunately, our fried green tomatoes came out at the same time as our cheeseburger, and two of the tomatoes were actually yellow, which gave them an off flavor compared to previous visits. The cheeseburger, however, was juicy and delicious. The whiskey cake was served warm with whipped cream. It was a little denser than I expected, but still enjoyable. Overall, the service was good, but the timing and food wasn't what we've come to expect. I'm hoping this was just an off night and the kitchen gets back on track.

We finally made it out to Waffle Love in Round Rock for the first time with my wife and daughter, and it did not disappoint. We popped in about 30 minutes after they opened, so it was nice and quiet--no crowds, no rush, just a perfect start to our day. The service here really sets them apart. From the moment we walked up, the cashier was incredibly friendly, and the staff member who brought our food out was just as welcoming. They kept checking in on us throughout our meal to make sure we were taken care of, which made for a really pleasant, stress-free dining experience. As for the food, it was excellent across the board: The Sandwich: I went with one of their sandwiches and it was great--definitely hit the spot. The Waffles: My wife and daughter shared an order of the waffles with strawberries, and they absolutely loved them. My wife and I both agreed that this is officially on our "must-return" list. I make Julia Child's recipe, and know for a fact it is not served this way. Additionally, I ordered a cinnamon roll and it just wasn't as great as they used to be. However, to be fair, it was better than the beef berguignon. Extremely disappointed, this is the second one of my to go order has been screwed up from Sweet Lemon Kitchen.
