I used to frequent the Draper Waffle Love during COVID, it was my go-to for getting sweets when it counted. Tried this place(location, it seemed bigger and more open with great customer service and that is where the positive things ended. The waffles themselves were both overcooked and almost crunchy and not sure what happened but they were made fresh to order and I was the 2nd customer inside before they closed. I was sad about not having a good experience with the food, I guess those days are over or things have changed but it is okay I don't think I need to go back anytime soon. read more

There were two employees there, and I figured they'd ask me something like "What can we start for you?" Kinda like you do at Chipotle, Cafe Rio, or Subway (at least last time I was there in the 2010s). No, you order at the other end of the counter. Not knowing that, I stood there waiting to "start" or whatever, for a good 5 minutes until someone mentioned I could order at the other end. (I was the only person in the store at the time). I should have spoken up, but like I said...dummy. Anyway, while I waited, I got to see these two employees interact. To the young woman: You didn't deserve that...hang in there. -- To the young man: Maybe you were having a _really_ bad day, but son...you can't treat co-workers (or anyone!) that way. Ease up, bro...things will get better! That said, thanks for the nice waffle. The store isn't very put together, but this could easily be fixed by a conscientious owner. Tuck those cables and cords on the wall away from sight. Straighten the TVs. Redo, or remove the chalk writing near the entry...it's clearly weeks old, and mostly rubbed away. Hide a little more of the business guts (schedules, personal items etc) from prominent view, and take a look at the lighting in the order/checkout/utensils area. It's a murky downer over there. GETTING HERE: I was visiting Utah a few months ago and knew I had to try this place! Waffle Love was one of my VERY FIRST Instagram accounts I followed several years ago. Finally I have arrived! :) From what I remember it's located in an open air strip-mall on a corner. REVIEW: I only got to visit here once so I know I missed out on some more amazing food. :( However, I chose a waffle because it was brunch time and because Waffles. I ordered the Kids' Mini Luv, I believe. It was so good! Why can't Waffle Love come to California?! Anyway, included on my waffle were huge slices of strawberries plus Nutella. The chicken and waffles came with syrup and a fry sauce like dip. The chicken had a yummy breading that was crunchy and flavorful the chicken breast was tender. It came with 2 big pieces of fried chicken no bones. The waffle with the syrup was so good. I'd order it again. I got the banana cream pie. Lots of chocolate cooked into the waffle it was covered in whip cream and bananas. Perfectly and sweet creamy. They have a lot of options including build your own. I'll definitely be back. Holy waffles!! I went back to this location and had a completely different experience. Our group was greeted upon entering and given ordering instructions by the friendly staff. (The cashier was especially kind and attentive.) Our waffles were made in roughly 15 minutes and brought directly to our table in paper bags with a "Thanks for coming in. Have a great day!" from the cashier. Let's talk about the good stuff--the waffles! I ordered the Sausage Sando and Dulce de Leche. Both were clearly made with care and fresh ingredients. I almost forgot to take photos because I was so excited to dig in. Pro Tip: Pour the maple syrup on the sausage waffle. It's a game changer. Free Flavor Idea: Ever heard of Banoffee Pie? First of all, I love the decor in this place. Bright pretty colors and fun paintings and pride flags! So happy they have gluten free batter (the waffle irons are shared with regular waffles so not celiac friendly). I loved my waffle the only way I could tell it was gf was that it was a little dense but the texture and flavor were great. We decided to come here for brunch on our anniversary, to check and see how different it was from the last time we were here. I wish I could say it was better, but unfortunately it was not. The entire restaurant was dirty, and not just a "morning of kids" dirty. This has been accumulating over weeks. Dirty tables, dirty walls, the space where you're cooking the food is absolutely filthy. My husband and I ordered at the same time. I ordered the chicken and waffles and he ordered the breakfast sandwich. Mine came out about 5 minutes before his. The chicken was moist and not over cooked. His came without syrup and the person who delivered it sat it down and ran so we didn't have a chance to ask. There was no customer service - no "hi, welcome in" or "can I help decide anything?" Just "I can take your order down here". This place seems more like a decent fast food restaurant rather than sitting down somewhere fun to have brunch. I doubt we'll be returning. read more

I'm not sure what happened with their dough today but the waffle was so bad. The dough was so dense and discolored and tasted undercooked. It even had raw clumps of sugar stuck to it. Toppings were yummy and staff was really nice but I won't be back for a waffle anytime soon. Update- got feedback from Waffle love informing me they were testing out a new dough and plan to go back to the original dough. Once they go back there would be no issue! We have stopped by the West Jordan Waffle Love on multiple occasions and they are always closed, they seem to make up their own hours and don't post closures (not just Sundays). Today after checking their website and seeing their hours for Sunday 9a -2p we stopped by yet again and once more the doors were locked at 10:15. We called around to a few of the other stores (Draper, Midvale, American Fork) all were opened and all said West Jordan should be open too. While we were waiting in the parking lot we counted 9 people trying to stop in as well, lots of lost revenue for this branch. The owner of this location should be embarrassed and ashamed for the sub par business practices and the Waffle Love Brand needs to do something about this. Oh one more this it's March 28th 2021 and this location still has Christmas hours on their voicemail. read more

Their fried chicken that comes with the chicken and waffles is some of the best I've had in the area as well! Highly recommend the chicken and waffles. I've also tried the red raspberry and strawberry one and the seasonal $5 pumpkin spice with cookie butter in place of caramel. All were great! Multiple tables with very loose tops and tables with signs that say sanitary but have trash on them. After a rough experience at the soft opening this is not the second chance experience I was hoping for. This location seems poorly managed and very under cleaned. The overhead fans above the waffle makers are disgusting as well and have grease all over them. The food tastes good but presentation is definitely underwhelming. We won't be back. read more

This place is run by bunch of teenagers who don't have a clue of what good food looks like and what it takes to make sure you have a clean environment to make the food safe for the public. We ordered their Date Waffle on the morning of my Fiancé's birthday just to start the day off with some love, the food got delivered, midway after taking some bites, she found hair in the food. This made sick to my stomach immediately. I called to let them know what we found, the guy who answered the call, dropped the call after I finished talking. I immediately drove there to see them in-person and when I got there, I made sure to elaborate how I felt and asked to see the person that dropped my call, a guy responded that he didn't understand what I was saying and that he thought it was a prank call. I don't know how the owners of this company hire individuals because the kids I met at the West Jordan location lack manners, they are disrespectful, rude and racist because as I was talking, they were laughing and making mockery of me. Sincerely, the West Jordan location just needs to be shut down, what they are selling there as food to the public will end up hospitalizing those that eat from there. This is very disgusting and I really want the health department to intervene in this situation. read more

Gosh, I hesitated at first but it made sense. They almost looked like cinnamon roll dough. I was exciting to try. When they brought out our food and we bit into our waffles, HOLY SMOKES!! It was...GEE how do I even explain how delicious it was? Lol! I felt like the critic in that Ratatouille movie. Yeah! That's how good it was. Gosh every single bite was so flavorful. It just went with the waffle. Who says waffles only needed syrup and whip cream? Mannnn. I'm definitely going back in the morning. HA! The place was super clean, covid-19 friendly. I placed a pick up order. My order was supposed to be ready at 1225, I came in at noon. They said they're starting on it and they'll be done soon, but I came in early. I understood. The people in front of me in line placed their order. Those people got their food before me, which is fine. But about 5 people after me also got their food before me. Now it's 1240 and I'm still waiting for my food. When I went up to ask, they said about 10 more minutes. I am still waiting. Poor customer service and prioritizing of orders. The waffle was COLD meaning it had been sitting there for a while until I placed my order. 2nd problem is the most disgusting one. I almost swallowed what I presumed was banana in whipped cream.
