We came here on Friday for brunch. The restaurant was almost empty. No line. There was so much on the menu from savory to sweet. Many drinks to choose from coffee to wine. The service was great. They were very nice and friendly. I felt bad because we took forever to order because everything looked amazing. The food and drinks came out hot and fresh. Absolutely delicious. I recommend getting cheesy scrambled eggs on the side for whatever you order. I can't wait to come back.

Chicken + Waffles with a yummy side salad

Hubby brought me to this cute cafe for my Birthday. I've been wanting to go and sooo glad we finally got to. It's just as cute inside as it is outside. The food is yummy and Ouhhh the mocha was Suh Guuuud. Just go, you gotta try it. Hmm the service I don't remember too much other than it being a wee bit slow but it can't be helped if only one person is working the front from what we could see. Other than that, most def coming back

Great little place for a Sunday brunch. I was able to book a reservation a few days ahead and the staff said after 1:30 is not so busy. I booked at 1:30 and was able to be seated at that time. My friend had Peaches & Cream Waffles (sliced peaches with roasted almonds, corn flakes and once cream. She was in heaven and enjoyed tremendously. I had Nutella with Bananas & Strawberries Waffle. The waffle was light and not overly sweet and a good layer of bananas and strawberries so each bite was perfectly balanced. Both plated nicely. The Americano was very good and was pleasantly surprised-rival some of the better Italian cafes in town. My friend enjoyed her Cafe Affogato. It was so warm outside today that being in the air conditioned restaurant was a nice getaway from the heat. The decor is so charming like you stepped into a childhood book. Servers were friendly and nice. If I could make a suggestion: please be more aware of putting more service in like filling up the water and checking on guests. All in all, I would definitely be coming back.

English breakfast tea. Loved the small container of cream.

The food was so tasty and came out quickly. The service was attentive and friendly. The ambiance made me feel like I was in a friend's house enjoying brunch. The staff really made me feel welcome and appreciated.

Shall I need to say this is the best place ever for waffle? Lol After craving for waffles, I gave a shot to Waffleland Cafe. The place is cute inside and out. You feel like you are in the movies, specially with their menu and food. Tons of options like savoury, dessert and vegan too. My favourite one was the cinnamon stick waffle with cream cheese a side! That was so yummy!!! For savoury, my favourite one was the salmon with Brie!!!! The Gastown Branch was gooodddd toooooo... Loved loved loved!!!! To harmonize the meal, of course I ordered mimosas and coffeee as well! My friend ordered the Hazelnut Hot chocolate and it was so good. If you have any questions about the food, the waitress was amazing, she provided some good options and she was super friendly! I hope you enjoy this place!!! Cheers

If you love waffles, you gotta try this place. It focuses on two types of waffles - Belgian liege and Norwegian traditional heart shape. There are both sweet and savory waffles on the menu. They are very nicely presented and look really pretty. I really like the Elvis dish. It has banana, pb, honey and bacon. So yummy. My friends like their waffles too. Prosciutto charcuterie and s'mores. I think the drinks are not as good. At least the mocha I had was so-so. My friends did like their matcha latte. Maybe it depends on what you order. The place is also quite charming and pretty. Like a tea shop. Good place to stop by for tea and brunch or snack with the girls.

This place is amazing! This was our first stop when we came into Vancouver and it set our trip on such a high note. We were able to beat the rush hour and got great seats as a group. Waiters were so nice and helped with recommendations, and the whole vibe is so cute. If you're a Instagram girly this is the place to be for some cocktail brunch pics! The waffles were absolutely delicious and the cranberry mimosas were AMAZING. I LOVE this place and will be returning 100% with more friends to experience this gem of a spot

We arrived at 1010 on a Tuesday, they open at 10am. The waitress was still tying on her apron - I immediately got the feeling we were gonna stay a while. We were seated quickly and menus were dropped. About 10 mins later she came back although there was only one other party who seemed to have already ordered before we got there. We ordered, and waited. No water, no silverware. 15 mins later she came to say there was no duck, so two of our orders needed to be changed. An earlier notification would have facilitated a quicker turn time for our table but it didn't seem like anyone was in a rush for anything anyway I ordered the Blue Sky Breakfast which was good. The whole experience was nearly 90 mins .. seems way too long for a tiny place with limited seating. The bathroom faucet was of interest - be sure to check that out if you stop by lol

Smoked tofu on Liege waffle (vegan)
    Matt B.

Surprisingly high-quality waffles, both sweet and savoury, with plenty of vegan options that got us in the door. Beautifully-designed little cafe right on Water St, but with plenty of seating. The back page of the menu lists all the vegan options, including 4 sweet and 2 savoury. I got the Smoked Tofu ($19 plus tax) on a Liege waffle (choice between Liege or Norwegian), which is the fluffier of the two. The dish came out in about 10 minutes. You get one fluffy waffle with 5 pieces of smoked tofu, avocado and hummus, with what seemed like "Everything" spices, with a side of maple syrup. I wouldn't think the syrup would go well with this combo of ingredients, but it actually did. Despite not seeming like much food, it was plenty. I got an Americano as well ($4.75), which was pretty watery -- they need to use a lower water:espresso ratio. Very friendly and attentive service. Prices seemed a tad high, but this is Gastown after all. This place exceeded expectations.

Waffleland cafe is the place to go to satisfy your early morning or late night waffle cravings. They have a beautiful interior with fast and friendly service. They have a variety of delicious sweet and savoury waffles. We ordered: Apple Cinnamon Waffle $17 More Bang For Nutella $16 Morning Haus $19 This place is definitely a must place visit in Gastown and worth the visit. I can't wait to go back and try more items on their menu.

Top: vegan Norwegian waffle with chocolate and apples with Biscoff cookie. Bottom- vegan Lienage enchanted waffle.

Adorable inside. Staff were friendly and helpful. Yummy vegan waffles. I prefer the Leinage style over Norwegian. I like fluffy thick waffles. They have fun options plus alcohol and coffee drinks. They have happy hour and milkshakes too. Not a lot of room inside so I wouldn't come here with a large party.

It's located at an easily accessible location in Gastown, with great service and beautiful decor (lots of florals, and pretty lights). I enjoyed the experience overall. My order: -The Traditional: brown cheese was very tasty (it's an imported Norwegian specialty) that tastes like aged cheese with a subtle caramel aftertaste. Served on a thin heart shaped waffle with jam. Highly recommend this unique dessert. -Building a Campfire: a bit pricy, but still a very fun and unique concept. Might be interesting to incorporate a waffle/mini waffle component to this. Comes with large marshmallows, salted pretzels, assorted fruits and chocolate dip. -Magic Butterfly Pea Lemonade: this was my friend's drink, so I didn't taste it myself. It's a beautiful non-alcoholic drink with honey at the bottom so stir well before you sip. -The Real Slim Shakery: I liked this drink; it actually wasn't too sweet and looks super cute too. Good personal sizes portion too, not too huge compared to standard milkshakes. -Chicken n' Waffles: the chicken was a bit hard & dry, and looked like chicken strips or fish sticks at first, which I didn't expect. The flavour was quite nice, with a subtle spiciness to it. The texture of the waffle itself was on the soft side, and a tad bit bland personally.

Since downtown Vancouver is a busy city but has a fairly good public transit system, we took the sky train to this popular coffee shop. After I asked a question to the friendly staff, I ordered and received my order number. Thank goodness the suite next door offered tables and seating because it would have been quite a balancing act to enjoy a four espresso tasting without a table. The barista noticed my disappointment when he told me that they only have two espresso varieties for my four taster flight and he offered to add milk to two of them so I can taste the pure shots and mini cappuccinos. This was a thoughtful gesture! One of my daughter's ordered a latte and lemon cream bakery good. I tasted the Monogram Calgary a Colombia/Guatemala blend and Dak Amsterdam from Ethiopia. I tasted a bit of rose and mango in the Monogram like they said but the lemon meringue was absent. I got the fruit and berry hints after having the Dak Amsterdam but little white chocolate. Both blends were very STRONG and I preferred them with a little steamed milk, which softened the intensity without taking away the flavor. A very nice coffee tasting experience for just $10 CAD.

Seating is plentiful on the order and pick up side, though cramped, and a larger space is available on the other side. I had my usual, an iced latte, here, and it was tasty and strong. The banana bread was also pretty good! Wi-Fi was not easy to find (if available) but since I wasn't staying too long, I hadn't asked. Overall, this is more of a cramped than cozy space and is fairly busy. Every inch is most definitely used, so it may feel a bit claustrophobic - otherwise an excellent cafe!

Their menu seems to rotate seasonally, so you might find limited-time or specialty flavors depending on when you visit. As for the drinks, they were just okay in my opinion. The flat white was quite strong, and while it included Earl Grey syrup, the flavor didn't come through as clearly as expected. The Pastéis de Nata was decent -- not too sweet, but a bit dense.
