    Tri Tip Meal
    Daniel F.

Great food and service. Stopped by after work and heard a lot about this place so I had to check it out. Right off Moffet Blvd on 101 is where it's located with minimal parking. Got the regular tri tip meal with potato salad & Mac and cheese and cokes with corn bread. Trip tip was tender and juicy. Potato salad wasn't too bad but it was flavorful. Mac and cheese were really good. Not soggy or too much cheese at all. The cornbread was crispy on the edges and really buttery. Must try bbq place in Mountain View.

The service was very quick, I enjoyed their sides! They have a lot of seating! I got the two meat combo with Mac and cheese and potato salad.

Brisket, burnt ends, Mac and cheese, chili, and corn bread!

The locals and regulars are going to hate me for this, but this American BBQ spot tucked away in the corner of the city is such a gem. The brisket is honestly the best I've ever had and the burnt ends were just right. Not to mention the buttered cornbread is baked just right.

Got ton of takeout for 8 people. Ordering online was easy, with curbside pickup available. Food was ready on time, well-packed with butter and honey for the cornbread, and they were great asking whether we needed utensils and plates. MEATS 1 lb tri tip - stole the show, you can see how juicy it is Full rack ribs - falling off the bone tender, though wish there was more going on with the rub 2 lb brisket - we expected to be a crowd fave so I ordered extra but was actually a bit dry! Good strip of fat and crust though. Wonder if an off night. 1 lb pulled pork - appreciated the mix of textures here, though personally wish I had some Carolina Vinegar bbq sauce with this 1/2 chicken - just had a bite and it was moist, good lighter bbq option SIDES Beans - flavorful Mac n cheese - good texture and v cheesy Potato salad - more seasoned and less creamy than most (which I like) Cornbread - thin like literal slices of bread - cornmeal bread loaf? Not a big fan but significantly improved warmed with butter and honey Farmer's salad - should love this on paper but maybe I didn't like the dressing? Something was off today. I can see myself getting this with tri tip on top and another dressing in the future. Cobbler - simple but surprisingly good, not very sweet, perfect warmed in the oven and served with ice cream. Quite a sizable portion. Highly recommend! Almost everything (all the meats, rubs, sauce, sides except Mac and bread) are gluten free which is great. We had a whole container of meat and cornbread and half the sides leftover.

Dinner- started to get busy 10 mins after ordering :)

Was in the area and decided BBQ was a good option for dinner. Wagon Wheel BBQ has been in my bookmarks for a while and decided to give it a try. Order at the counter, seat yourself and food brought out. Decided on the Two Meat Combos with 3 sides: :: Brisket and Burnt Ends Brisket was tender, not overly seasoned and delicious. Burnt ends were (IMO) not my thing - tough leathery, dry pieces smothered in bbq sauce - a meat left behind! 2.5/5 :: Brisket and Pork Ribs - both good options and would stick with that next time. Sides: Mac n cheese - creamy cheese and tasty, Cole slaw was enjoyed. Beans were a bit undercooked and sweet (like they used the bbq sauce), garlic bread or corn bread. Decent options Overall, 3.5 stars...recommend the ribs and brisket...avoid the burnt ends based on my experience tonight. Realized spot is the sister spot to Redwood City BBQ and South Winchester BBQ as they have the same recognizable menu items and bottled BBQ sauce. Small parking lot in front and right off Moffett Blvd from Highway 101 near NASA Ames Research Center. Average price/person with no drink: $32 with tax and tip

We got the 3 meat combo, and it came with 2 sides and cornbread. We got chicken, brisket, and pork ribs with potato salad and mac n cheese. We got the food super fast. The cornbread wasn't that special. They have 5 beers on tap and a variety of canned beers. I would definitely get the brisket if we come back. Service was good, and the place smells so good inside. A lot of tables available!

Brisket was too tough, and very dry. For $34 a lb it was not worth it. I, had to take rest home for my dog. However, service was good.

    Brisket meal, potato salad, beans

This place hands down has the BEST BBQ in the Bay Area!! The flavoring of the burnt ends were top notch (I wish I had rice) and the brisket was so moist and fatty. Will definitely be back!

Located on a corner with easy parking. This place had quite a few tables full on a weekday with many people biking over so parking was plenty. We could immediately smell the smoky bbq when we got out of the car and were prepared for a delicious meal. The place is quite large with lots of tables and plenty of seating. The decor is nice too, but it totally bugged me that a couple of the ceiling fans didn't match with the rest. Also the bathroom I used had Italian pictures on the walls which was a little off for a bbq spot. They also have some merch like t-shits for sale. I got a brisket meal, and my fiancee went with tri tip. The food came out quickly which was great because we were both starving! The meat was very tasty, the sides were just ok. I love that they have a local soda on tap with many delicious flavors to choose from.

An absolute hidden gem!! We tried a bit of everything - tri-tip, sausages, ribs, and brisket - and my favorite by far were the briskets although they were all great! Also got some mac and cheese and cole slaw! Amazing place w amazing meats :))

Brisket plate with beans and Mac Cheese.

The brisket was very tender and flavorful. Mac and Cheese was yummy. Bean and garlic bread delicious. Loved it.

Brunt ends and brisket with cold slaw

One of the best bbq spots I've tried. Desserts are fire. Great experience would come again.

We were craving bbq, especially after hearing a neighborhood favorite just closed down. So we found this place doing an online search. It was a little hidden in a part of Mountain View we don't normally frequent. The restaurant was quaint with ample seating, and clean restrooms. There seemed to be a party room on the side (but it wasn't open at the time of our visit). We went on a weeknight, around 8:15 PM, a little before their 9 PM closing. We were sad to hear they had run out of a lot of menu items, including the brisket, burnt ends, cornbread, etc. Some of them ran out around 5 PM so they didn't even have enough for the dinner crowd! Overall I'd give it 5 stars for the food that they did have (we tried their hot links, tri-tip, and pork ribs, which were all tasty), but 4 stars for the service (it was not very friendly nor helpful for our first time there, but perhaps it was because English wasn't the cashier's first language). Additionally they started cleaning up the restaurant at around 8:30 PM so we're lucky we grabbed some bbq sauce before that. We might consider going back again to try their brisket (which is what we were wanting this time), but would probably call first to make sure they didn't run out. Note: We heard from friends who were there that apparently they often run out in the late afternoons, which begs the question - why don't you just make more?!

pork ribs, lots of meat on the bone!

It's hard to even pick favorites because literally everything was so good, but if I had to choose, the mac and cheese, cornbread, and ribs definitely stood out. The ribs were suuuuper juicy, tender, and packed with flavor. I'm really picky about mac and cheese, but theirs was SO good -- creamy, flavorful, and with chunks of meat mixed in that made it even better. The cornbread was moist with the perfect amount of sweetness. And the BBQ sauces?? So dang good that I ended up buying two bottles to take home with me. The…read moresetup is actually pretty cool because you get your own individual hot pot so you don't have to share broth, but there's still a shared grill in the middle for the BBQ. The all-you-can-eat is the move here. The meat quality is solid--the wagyu beef and spicy pork belly usually hit the spot on the grill. On the hot pot side, the pork bone broth is a safe bet, and the spicy broth actually has a decent kick to it. Also, they have those little fried buns with condensed milk that are dangerously good. They give ice cream at the end with a cone which is sweet dessert. The vibe is super lively and loud, definitely not a quiet dinner spot. They even have those robots rolling around bringing out plates, which is kind of funny to watch. Service is quick; you just order everything on your phone and it shows up fast. Just remember the 90 minute limit. It's clean, modern, and you'll definitely leave feeling like you need a nap. I understand that it might be intentional so it can be customizable from the big variety of sauces at the sauce bar. But I would say its very lacking. No salt, no depth. Almost like flavored water. - Portions are okay. It's AYCE so it makes sense that their portions are smaller. but it is much smaller than places ive been to. Please be mindful when you decide which meat to be on the grill as majority of them is to be for hotpot. so it will dissolve on the grill the moment you realize it. - Meat quality is fine for AYCE. However there are some thats a bit questioning. The spicy beef is just the thinniest slices that are marinaded in the chili oil. But after cooking the texture and even flavor is very very off. I highly recommend getting the Finger Cubes BBQ (i think), nice blend of fat and meat and def the most flavorful. - ORDERING SYSTEM is a nightmare. Since the portions are so small, you would have to order multiple rounds and there is a time block apparently so you dont over order. But the system is so slow and not intuitive at all. At first i thought they are just opened and would give it some time to improve. But now i dont see myself coming back at all.

The location that we went to is located next to Maggiano's Little Italy in Santana Row on Olin Ave. There is a free 2 hour parking structure across of the restaurant where my boyfriend and I parked at. We came during their Lunch Specials (until 4pm) and Happy Hour (from 3-5:30pm) which worked perfectly as we wanted something smaller in portion compared to the dinner portions. We started off with drinks. I got their Pig Ol' Bitties Blonde Ale, and my boyfriend got their Friday Beer & Shot special of This Little Piggy Went to [Mark]et with a 16 oz Dirty Little Pig IPA and a shot of Benchmark whiskey. My fault for having him get a whiskey shot on an empty stomach, though HAHA. He did like how smooth the whiskey was at least! We shared a 2-meat BBQ Lunch Combo Plate, and honestly, we should have gotten 3 meats because of how tender and delicious everything was! We got their Tri Tip and Sliced Brisket with their Garlic Mash and server recommended Sweet Potato Tots. Ahhh, everything was so good! Aside from the tender, flavorful meats, the two sides, especially the garlic mash, were sooooo good. We both loved everything! It was definitely a great choice coming during lunch as we were quite full after ordering one of their happy hour shareables of Chips & Queso (kind of pricey even for happy hour in my opinion for chips and cheese). Honestly wished we got their Chili Cheese Fries or their other fries which were the same price than just chips and dip LOL. But it was a good hold over food with us drinking a bit (at least for me). Shoutout to the only server who was working on a late Friday afternoon as she was doing her best to accommodate everyone + trying to clean up the previous tables. It was kind of sad seeing that the other workers didn't help bus the tables in my opinion. Overall, a great place to watch sports and have some good whiskey as this restaurant is known for their whiskey selections! The lunch BBQ exceeded our expectations, and we would definitely come back for another lunch special meal but probably with 3 meats this time!
