Kimchi Fried Rice and Rose Ddeok-Bokki
    Shayla T.

Our group of 6 pre-ordered ~25 minutes prior to arriving on a Thursday evening and it was perfect timing. Food was still hot when we arrived. There are booths for dine-in. We asked for water cups but the cashier said they do not provide that. Alternatively, there is a fridge with canned and bottled drinks. There are also some alcohol options like beer and soju. We got 30 total of the honey garlic, soy garlic, and original wings and it was a good amount for our family because we had the kimchi fried rice and rose ddeokbokki as well. The wings are crispy and flavorful; I especially liked the honey garlic and am glad it wasn't overly sweet. Kimchi fried rice was fragrant and had chicken in it as well, although the chicken in the fried rice wasn't anything amazing. The rose ddeokbokki had a nice seared fragrance to it as they torched the cheese. I loved the creaminess of it! Pretty well-kempt and efficient service! Will likely come back.

My mouth waters over the thought of korean fried chicken and bb.q never disappoints, quick service with a QR code at the table with self seating, clean interior and spacious place. Super empty on a Monday midday, so food was super quick! Got the spicy galbi and soy honey boneless wings and so unbelievably crispy. Was a big fan of the soy honey because you can never go wrong there, but the spicy galbi is a great alternative! Sweet potato fries had a lot of powder sugar on top which I wasn't expecting, but wasn't bothered by it too much. Great place to come with friends and share!

I first tried bb.q Chicken in Seoul and was so excited to see more locations opening in the Bay Area. The chicken here is super crispy with large, satisfying pieces. They offer a wide variety of flavors, which makes it fun to try different options. Dishes we tried: - Half and half whole chicken: We chose half original/half spicy. The spicy had a solid kick, which I enjoyed, but I preferred the original because it stayed crispier without the sauce. - Gangnam style wings: These had a black pepper garlic sauce that had an amazing flavor. Liked this more than the half and half chicken. One thing to note is that the menu says these are wings, but our order also came with drumsticks. I did not mind, but I do prefer wings for the extra crispiness. - French fries: Perfectly crispy with a generous portion. We asked for a side of cheese powder and loved dipping the fries into it. There is plenty of parking and lots of indoor seating. You place your order at the counter, and the staff brings the food to your table. Everyone was friendly and helpful. I also noticed you can order electronically from your seat, which is a nice option. Lots of people were picking up takeout as well. Overall, a great place to satisfy your Korean fried chicken craving. I'll definitely be back to try more flavors.

These are probably one of the best Korean wing places I've ever eaten at in the Bay. Stopped by here a couple weeks ago on a Saturday evening and it was decently busy. Most people did order just for takeout. For 2 girlies, we ordered the small (8 wings) in both the soy garlic and the secret spicy flavors, along with some fries and a bottle of soju. WOW. I've never had a wing flavor here I don't enjoy. The wings are nicely fried and crispy, the sauce is flavorful without being overwhelming. The fries? Same thing. I love their batter. My only slight gripe here is the price. It is a bit pricey, especially compared to American wing stop. But considering that the wings are fairly large, it doesn't deter me from coming here. Service: 4/5 Food/Drinks: 5/5 Price: 4/5 Atmosphere: 4/5

We were craving some Korean fried chicken and let me tell you, this stuff is amazing. Crispy, tasty, hot, and delicious! The service was quick since you just order at the front then wait till your number is called, ambiance is typical for a chicken place. Think wingstop but better than wingstop. Way way better. Definitely must try!

Half & Half Whole Chicken (original golden / hot & spicy)
    Cindy V.

This was my first time trying this place after hearing very good. Honestly the chicken is very mid. The original golden flavored chicken was very similar to your typical american chicken (like KFC) but 2x the price. If you plan on coming here with a group, consider getting the whole chicken for a better price, but you are limited two flavors which included the original golden flavored chicken and the sweet/tangy golden or the hot&spicy. We ended getting the original golden chicken and the hot&spicy chicken. Original golden chicken: 3 stars out of 5 stars. Jollibee chicken is better and cheaper. Hot & Spicy chicken: 3 starts out of 5 stars. Very very spicy flavor which over powered the taste of the fried chicken

Spicy Galbi Boneless Gangjeong Boneless French Fries

Ordered 2 if the all day meal specials -- 1 spicy bulgogi and 1 gangjeong. We also added a side of cheesling powder to add to our fries. There were a variety of drink options in the fridge and we went with milkis and jarritos. The food came out after about 10 minutes and was piping hot. The food came in baskets and they also gave us some paper trays to move the food to if we didnt want to eat directly from the basket. The table also has a basket to put your bones in. The chicken tasted great! I've had bb.q in Korea before and only had the original so I was excited to try out their other flavors. Flavor was great, but I do wish the chicken was more crispy, it was a bit on the softer side. On the other hand, the fries were perfectly crunchy -- cheesling powder elevated it and I would definitely recommend it. We also got pickled radish which is the classic palate cleanser. Overall, super satisfied with my first bb.q experience here in the states! My friend wanted to go out for KFC and I was super excited to show him this spot. He was definitely skeptical because it's a like a food chain, but I reassured him it's actually good and luckily I was right. Would come again!

    Soy garlic & Golden original

Got tired of BonChon and was craving KFC and although I was a bit hesitant because of the prices, I gave in. Ended up getting the soy garlic and golden original. Golden original was like KFC chicken, but way better. The chicken was so fresh and juicy and in my opinion a huge step ahead of BonChon. If you're looking for a new KFC spot to check out, give these guys a shot.

    Johnathan Y.

The chicken is always delicious. I will say, I personally prefer ordering whichever flavor chicken you get, with the sauce served on the side, so that the chicken stays as crispy as possible. The lady at the front/behind the counter is the cutest, such a sweet lady - service is always great. Remember to sign up for the membership to earn points with your purchases. If you're going to get the small size of boneless wings, get the "all day meal" special instead (2x of them), cause you get 2 drinks included that way. Also, look for the "OPEN" sign instead of trying to gauge whether the lights are on or not by looking through the heavily tinted glass in the front of the restaurant. Bathrooms are clean, though perhaps feel a bit too big (but empty) for the space. Will come back for sure!

    Hannah H.

I really wanted to like this place because I've heard good things about it, but to be honest this is one of the few restaurants I've disliked, and I'm not a picky eater. The other reviews about the service are accurate. The host/waitress was on her phone when I came in, and didnt give us water or take us to our seat :( When we asked for water she looked annoyed and when we asked about the menu she spoke with a little disdain. I don't expect service workers to be hootin and hollerin and they don't even have to smile at me but she didn't look like she wanted to speak at all. Maybe she was just having a bad day. The interior is nice and clean, and it's fairly quiet in there, but the food I don't really like. Their tteokbokki is alright, but their fried chicken has a one dimensional flavor in my opinion. It's either really sweet or it just tastes like meat. And the portion sizes are pretty small despite the price. I think bonchon is better.

The used cups and table not cleaned ... employees just wanting to take orders and nothing else therefore, NO clean cups for customer's use .

It's quite large with many tables and chairs inside, and it's nice and brightly lit. Service was quick and efficient, and they moved us to a larger table after hearing how much we were ordering We definitely overordered and got a seafood pancake to start, the smaller size of bossam, a kimchi tofu soup, and a beef bibimbap. The bossam took a while to come out, and by then we were already pretty full off of the pancake, soup and bibimbap. Service sizes are generous, and this definitely would've been enough for 4+ people to share. There was a great assortment of different banchan - my favorite is the jelly! The pancake was nice and crispy, with a good amount of seafood, the bibimbap had a great amount of crispy rice at the bottom and the tofu soup was comforting and exactly what we were looking for. The bossam had a lot of meat - I kind of wished there was more radish and napa to go with the meat, but it was tender, not too fatty, and satisfying. We had plenty of leftovers to take home. Jang su jang is still a classic staple, and has a delicious offering for almost any korean craving you could want. It's a little pricey, but comparable to other options in the area with consistent quality that makes it worth it in my opinion.

The Mul Naengmyeon was cold and refreshing, especially after eating the galbijjim. I should also mention that the complimentary side dishes includes raw marinated crab which was absolute heaven. Squeeze it like a toothpaste bottle and the juicy crab comes right out. One of my friends is a big eater (just a beefier human in general), so we decided to get an extra order of 눈꽃살. If I were to order again for the same group of friends (4 people total), I would order 해물 파전, 돌솥 비빔밥, 청담 갈비, 양념갈비, and 눈꽃살. I think its close to the amount of food that we ordered, but a little more affordable and some (superior) substitutions. The staff was friendly and efficient which was fantastic. I got to meet the owner/manager, he seems like a kind and friendly gentleman. I want to come back more often for the 해물 파전 and 양념갈비. I made this review to express my excitement over this restaurant and for my future reference.

I think I've been sleeping on some traditional Korean food. I thought i had a good grasp of what…read morewas good and what was a pass for me. Today was a new experience. This marks my first day having real Soondae. I had it twice before around the El Camino Koreatown area but it was always too light, cold, no flavor.. But here at JangTu, i found the one i love. It was warm, soft and delectable. Normally i love Jokbal over everything but the Soondae was better than the Jokbal to me. Even then, the Jokbal had good flavor. FYI, we mixed it with the Raboki sauce.... heaven! Great service! Super nice and attentive! Made the experience great! Also got the Octopus Intestine Soup, but i do think personally prefer Gamjatang more. I will come back to get it next time With hot soup and heavy cuts of meat, of course gotta get NangMyeon! Washed it all down like a refreshing soda! Great time, will be back for my 2nd time soon
