Tri Tip, brisket and burnt ends
    Cheryl L.

Meats were excellent. We got tri tip, burnt ends and brisket. The Baked beans were delicious with chunks of meat. The disappointment was with the Mac n cheese. It was runny and not all the cheese was melted. I would skip. AC is a bit weak in the secondary room. This place is great for large groups as there is room to meet up there. There is parking but it is a small lot. Service was excellent and a highlight as our cashier gave us some good recommendations.

The brisket, remember I am a brisket smoker, is very tender. It doesn't have the real smoky flavor I'm used to but cooked perfectly. The potato salad is pretty good, a little darker than I prefer. Taste is good with the tangy minced onions. The ribs are nearly perfect. They could have used about 20 more minutes but still delicious. The cornbread is good and it is warm. The garlic bread I wasn't expecting is delicious too. The barbecue sauce may be a little too smoky and too much sugar. As an Alabama/Texas BBQ native I'd say they are doing it pretty good, even better than Vegas. The server was nice and attentive. The quiet music in the background wasn't too much and plenty of of room for families.

Service 3 stars Meat 4 stars Sides. 1 star We came on a Monday at 6pm. Only 1 family was inside eating. Lady at the counter wasn't rude or friendly. The person delivering the food to the table was nice. We ordered ribs (3.5 stars) they were a little dry, not much smokey flavor, but the seasoning was good. We also got a brisket (4.5 stars) great flavor, super tender, to much fat marbling for me. Sides - a good BBQ need to have good sides. Mac-n-cheese (3 stars) it was very runny BBQ beans (3.5 stars) great flavor but served room temp Potato salad (3 stars) to much relish or pickle Corn bread (2 stars) no flavor No wet napkins - this is a must for eating bbq with your fingers

Great food and service. Stopped by after work and heard a lot about this place so I had to check it out. Right off Moffet Blvd on 101 is where it's located with minimal parking. Got the regular tri tip meal with potato salad & Mac and cheese and cokes with corn bread. Trip tip was tender and juicy. Potato salad wasn't too bad but it was flavorful. Mac and cheese were really good. Not soggy or too much cheese at all. The cornbread was crispy on the edges and really buttery. Must try bbq place in Mountain View.

Rib meal with 1 Meat + 2 Sides + Bread!

Had a craving for BBQ ribs one morning and decided to try out Wagon Wheel. The reviews looked promising, so I showed up at 10am ordering the rib meal. It should have occurred to me that lunch service wouldn't begin until later, but the owner was incredibly gracious and had my meal ready after 20min. The ribs were well cooked and falling apart, the mac and cheese was very flavorful, and the sauces were perfect. Would come back again!

The service was very quick, I enjoyed their sides! They have a lot of seating! I got the two meat combo with Mac and cheese and potato salad.

    Brisket. Coleslaw and baked potato

Everything was delicious. I had the brisket, baked potato and coleslaw. The staff was friendly and helpful. Reminded me of barbecue from Texas!

Dinner- started to get busy 10 mins after ordering :)

Was in the area and decided BBQ was a good option for dinner. Wagon Wheel BBQ has been in my bookmarks for a while and decided to give it a try. Order at the counter, seat yourself and food brought out. Decided on the Two Meat Combos with 3 sides: :: Brisket and Burnt Ends Brisket was tender, not overly seasoned and delicious. Burnt ends were (IMO) not my thing - tough leathery, dry pieces smothered in bbq sauce - a meat left behind! 2.5/5 :: Brisket and Pork Ribs - both good options and would stick with that next time. Sides: Mac n cheese - creamy cheese and tasty, Cole slaw was enjoyed. Beans were a bit undercooked and sweet (like they used the bbq sauce), garlic bread or corn bread. Decent options Overall, 3.5 stars...recommend the ribs and brisket...avoid the burnt ends based on my experience tonight. Realized spot is the sister spot to Redwood City BBQ and South Winchester BBQ as they have the same recognizable menu items and bottled BBQ sauce. Small parking lot in front and right off Moffett Blvd from Highway 101 near NASA Ames Research Center. Average price/person with no drink: $32 with tax and tip

Got ton of takeout for 8 people. Ordering online was easy, with curbside pickup available. Food was ready on time, well-packed with butter and honey for the cornbread, and they were great asking whether we needed utensils and plates. MEATS 1 lb tri tip - stole the show, you can see how juicy it is Full rack ribs - falling off the bone tender, though wish there was more going on with the rub 2 lb brisket - we expected to be a crowd fave so I ordered extra but was actually a bit dry! Good strip of fat and crust though. Wonder if an off night. 1 lb pulled pork - appreciated the mix of textures here, though personally wish I had some Carolina Vinegar bbq sauce with this 1/2 chicken - just had a bite and it was moist, good lighter bbq option SIDES Beans - flavorful Mac n cheese - good texture and v cheesy Potato salad - more seasoned and less creamy than most (which I like) Cornbread - thin like literal slices of bread - cornmeal bread loaf? Not a big fan but significantly improved warmed with butter and honey Farmer's salad - should love this on paper but maybe I didn't like the dressing? Something was off today. I can see myself getting this with tri tip on top and another dressing in the future. Cobbler - simple but surprisingly good, not very sweet, perfect warmed in the oven and served with ice cream. Quite a sizable portion. Highly recommend! Almost everything (all the meats, rubs, sauce, sides except Mac and bread) are gluten free which is great. We had a whole container of meat and cornbread and half the sides leftover.

We got the 3 meat combo, and it came with 2 sides and cornbread. We got chicken, brisket, and pork ribs with potato salad and mac n cheese. We got the food super fast. The cornbread wasn't that special. They have 5 beers on tap and a variety of canned beers. I would definitely get the brisket if we come back. Service was good, and the place smells so good inside. A lot of tables available!

The taste was excellent. The service was good too. Good atmosphere and ambiance. Good lunch break place. Brisket is juicy and fatty

Brisket, burnt ends, Mac and cheese, chili, and corn bread!
    Terry T.

The locals and regulars are going to hate me for this, but this American BBQ spot tucked away in the corner of the city is such a gem. The brisket is honestly the best I've ever had and the burnt ends were just right. Not to mention the buttered cornbread is baked just right.

Every thing is 5 star but I bought one lb of meat and only get 13.95 oz (including the foil)

No Line yet, but after we finished ordering, the line was out the door. For our group of 4 adults we ordered the rack of Beef Dino Ribs plus the large Family Pack (1lb of each meat) Brisket, Pork ribs, chicken. Plus smoked sausage. Sides: potato salad, mac&cheese, Brussel sprouts. Corn bread. Peach cobbler cheesecake, Banana Pudding. Wow !! A lot of food , i wanted enough to take home for Lunch the next day. We placed our order at the counter, then worked our way to the dining area. Food arrived at our table before i was done collecting the sauces, plates, napkins & silverware. Very fast - amazing as the dinning area was nearly full. The Dino bones ( 3 big ribs) was very impressive. Perfectly done. Definitely my favorite. Juices still dripping, very moist. Pork ribs were good. St. Louis cut, so they were a little on the drier side than babybacks. We asked for dark meat on the chicken but received two pieces of breast ( a bit on the dry side). Brisket was perfect, very moist and tender. Smoked sausage was a favorite especially with the Texas sauce. Sauces are the secret for good BBQ ,, as long as the meats are moist. We were with a Good group and out to celebrate a happy event. Everything was good. Desserts were packed to take home. Good service, even the cleanup staff were friendly. Atmosphere was typical w/ televisions entertainment. Noise level was decent to have table conversations. Cost: @ $60 per person Note: the Mini Family pack with the Dino rack would have been enough for our group. The restaurant was clean, trash bins emptied before they were in need. Bathroom was tidy. Yes, we hope to return. We do have good BBQ on the east bay. I like the restaurant setup: a mix of indoor and covered outdoor seating that feels open and inviting. The food, for me, has been mixed. On my first visit I had the brisket and remember it being very fatty -- not my thing, though I know preferences vary on that. This time I went with the chicken sandwich, which I really liked, along with the coleslaw, which was also very good. My biggest complaint is the price. Two sandwiches with coleslaw came to $50 before tip. Factor in the now-standard 18% "guilt tip" (for what's essentially counter service, with food brought out to your table), and you're looking at roughly $30 each for a sandwich and a small side. That's too steep. I get that costs have gone up across the board, but this feels like a stretch.

The location that we went to is located next to Maggiano's Little Italy in Santana Row on Olin Ave. There is a free 2 hour parking structure across of the restaurant where my boyfriend and I parked at. We came during their Lunch Specials (until 4pm) and Happy Hour (from 3-5:30pm) which worked perfectly as we wanted something smaller in portion compared to the dinner portions. We started off with drinks. I got their Pig Ol' Bitties Blonde Ale, and my boyfriend got their Friday Beer & Shot special of This Little Piggy Went to [Mark]et with a 16 oz Dirty Little Pig IPA and a shot of Benchmark whiskey. My fault for having him get a whiskey shot on an empty stomach, though HAHA. He did like how smooth the whiskey was at least! We shared a 2-meat BBQ Lunch Combo Plate, and honestly, we should have gotten 3 meats because of how tender and delicious everything was! We got their Tri Tip and Sliced Brisket with their Garlic Mash and server recommended Sweet Potato Tots. Ahhh, everything was so good! Aside from the tender, flavorful meats, the two sides, especially the garlic mash, were sooooo good. We both loved everything! It was definitely a great choice coming during lunch as we were quite full after ordering one of their happy hour shareables of Chips & Queso (kind of pricey even for happy hour in my opinion for chips and cheese). Honestly wished we got their Chili Cheese Fries or their other fries which were the same price than just chips and dip LOL. But it was a good hold over food with us drinking a bit (at least for me). Shoutout to the only server who was working on a late Friday afternoon as she was doing her best to accommodate everyone + trying to clean up the previous tables. It was kind of sad seeing that the other workers didn't help bus the tables in my opinion. Overall, a great place to watch sports and have some good whiskey as this restaurant is known for their whiskey selections! The lunch BBQ exceeded our expectations, and we would definitely come back for another lunch special meal but probably with 3 meats this time!
