Small family owned business that is old school Arizona diner. Menu is simple and basic breakfast choices. Everything is made to order and it's classic. Service is friendly and welcoming. Definitely the place locals frequent.

This restaurant was very home style and quaint. I loved the decor of the wagon outside! Food was fresh and tasted great! I loved the biscuits and gravy! Great flavor all around! Service was fast! We got seated right away and good came out fast as well. It's a small restaurant and def gets packed in the mornings. Overall great experience

Great biscuits and gravy (nice and peppery). Good eggs (not overcooked), bacon and potatoes (crispy) and coffee and service. Greasy Authentic diner experience.

You come to the wagon wheel for that small town cafe feel and good home cooking. You don't come if you're looking for a trendy, bright, sterile aesthetic. This is where you'll find the old Cave Creek locals who have been coming for years. This is where you'll find reasonable prices for good food. Biscuits and sausage gravy is my favorite breakfast, and these were fine, but the standout is the chicken fried steak! It's lightly breaded, so you get full flavor instead of just breading. It's just the right amount and not too filling. There's something about having a simple cup of coffee amongst old cowboys, a screened-in porch, and John Wayne photos. Reminds me of childhood.

Don't expect more than a delicious old school breakfast in a vintage, well-worn western roadside establishment and you'll be very happy here! Everybody seems local and knows the staff but is nice to strangers as well. Prices are old school as well- No mimosas, no waitlist, no bull!

No frills. Basic home cooked food. Cash only. You would probably describe this is a local hole in the wall. It is small but does a good job.

She responds so quickly and always addressed every question, idea, etc I presented. I loved getting to work with Julia, she is such an asset at Keelers. I cannot say enough good things about her! Overall, we had a good experience. They were very nice to provide a vegan option for one of our guests. The food was hit and miss with some dishes (like the NY Strip) being great and others being not so good (like the Prime Rib (although it was massive in size!) and Salmon). Our server Maria was great! She had a full section on the patio and then us off in the private room and she did a great job providing us with good, quick service and we loved her banter as well. All the staff we interacted with were really nice. We enjoyed being in the private room and not having to worry about disrupting other dinners, but there were some quarks with the private room. Staff often came in to access some kind of storage room within the room, we would have loved the ability to control the music ourselves, which was on when we arrived but stopped part way through out meal. The room is also separate from the rest of the restaurant, I assumed it would have been inside the same building but it is off the patio in it's own building and down a very steep ramp.

We didn't feel like eating steak so I ordered the burger and my BF ordered the prime rib dip. My burger was really good but the onion rings and fries were over fried or it just tasted old and dry. Also they take forever bring out drinks and food. We received our bill and my BF noticed that there was something on the receipt that didn't look familiar which was $60. The server charged a bottle of wine table next to ours on our tab. Probably won't be back, not the best experience and the server never really checks on you to see if you need anything, more like trying to get her attention.

We shared a bottle of Austin Hope Cab (one of my faves), kicked things off with their amazing French onion soup which was cheesy, rich, and always piping hot and then I had my usual... the Delmonico, cooked medium rare with a gorgeous char and chimichurri on the side. And yes, we finished strong with that heavenly butter cake and vanilla ice cream. And then... five days later, I found out they closed. Completely heartbroken. This was our go-to spot and has been for the last five years since we moved to this side of town. We knew the staff, we knew the menu, we knew the seats we loved best...1 and 2 at the bar thank you very much! And now? Well, we sure haven't found anything that even comes close. Preston's wasn't as loud and headed towards quiet as the seemingly sleepy town of Scottsdale was rolling up the sidewalks. Our server was great and the assistants were almost oppressively present. Constantly asking to clear plates and offering other things. They also liked to linger a little too close and chat amongst themselves. One dull spot in an otherwise bright evening. We had a filet and lamb which were better portions than some of the other huge offerings elsewhere. Also the Preston's salad which was really good. My wife liked the bread more than I. The meat was well prepared just needing a little more salt. And the lobster Mashed potatoes was good and didn't skimp on lobster. We had several drinks which were quite good too. The server gifted us with a dessert and I selected the Butter cake. It wasn't what I hoped for, just ok. The ice cream and fruit that came with was nice. All and all a very nice evening. Much appreciated. 4.2 rounds down to 4.

The dirty birdy and whiskey buck were such a hit we had a few. The appetizers we tried were delicious. The seared ahi tasted yummy and the pork belly with its crunchy exterior was gobbled up quick. We then tried the cauliflower and steamed clams. The broth for the clams was so good, we asked for more bread to sop it up. The cauliflower was yummy and everything on the plate was eaten up. The girls were full after that, but I wanted to try the beet salad. Have to say, one of the best I've ever had. Beets, arugula, goat cheese, walnuts (I think) and Orange slices with a tasty vinaigrette. Although the girls were 'full', they saw that and had to try it. Nothing left in that bowl as well. Overall, very pleasantly surprised and will for sure return to try other items on the menu. Service was great btw! My wife and I will certainly be back!

Arrived on a Sunday at 1 pm and were seated in a corner booth. All wood booth, seating is tight for 7 and would be near impossible for 8. Hard straight up back. Glad i brought coat to sit on although it was a bit cool inside too. Old western style decor inside. A little crowded and noisy but since we were huddled in a tight booth, we had good conversations compared to other places. Seating outside with fair number of people but heaters didn't appear to be on - I would have been cold outside. Mostly picnic table seating outside; sitting next to road although fenced in. Some pups with patrons. Service good overall but fairly slow. Lilly had to go verify the special for the day. My burger came several minutes after other entries arrived - weird. I had the horny toad burger with fries - great fries! Burger had brisket with bacon too - it was fairly good. We also had onion rings as appetizer which were fairly good beer battered style. Others had the Cod and taco's, but the bday girl had liver an onions which she said were very good. Everyone liked the taco's and chips that came with them. The creamed corn was just ok, and coleslaw fairly good. No offer of little dessert for bday girl which was surprising given we told the waitress this and made reservation just for the occasion. Drinks were good overall. Beautiful drive to get there, but doubtful we will be back much. Value was ok for what we got but nothing tremendously special.
