One star is too many stars to give this business. I have been bringing my standard poodle here for years because of the cheap prices. However, I will NO LONGER be coming to this place because the owner's outbursts of anger and lack of professionalism are not worth the price. The building is dilapidated, the inside has always been dirty and dusty (even when they were located in downtown Upland). The work ethic is hasty and lazy. Sue, the owner, leaves random long tufts of hair on my dog that I have to cut and even out myself when I get home. She never cuts my dogs paws short enough, she doesn't cut her nails or clean the inside of her ears. She is equally terrible at running the administration portion of her business. Countless times I have walked into the salon and gotten help from a A LITERAL 10 YEAR OLD CHILD behind the desk. Once, one of the children called me to let me know my dog was ready to be picked up. When I got there Sue told me that it was a mistake. I'm not sure why Sue needs to employ children but if she treats her employees like she treats her customers I have a pretty good idea. Sue's worst offense, though, is how she treated my mother when she took our dog to get groomed. As a PAYING CUSTOMER my mother tried explaining to Sue, someone PROVIDING A SERVICE for us, how we wanted our dog groomed. She was specifically telling Sue to be extra gentle with a paw pad our dog cut several weeks ago. Sue flew into a fit of rage and screamed at my mother. Saying things like, "how long have I been grooming this dog, don't you think I know how to do it." She then told my mother to take our dog and GET OUT OF THE SALON. This is a completely INAPPROPRIATE AND UNNECESSARY way to treat your paying customers. Especially loyal ones, like ourselves, who have never complained about the disorganization and negligence. And when we dared try and ask for what we wanted, what we as customers are entitled to, this angry white woman screamed abuses. Sue needs to retire. The stress of running a business on the brink of failure has gotten to her and is wreaking havoc on her ability to treat people with respect. Until then, we will take our dog somewhere that doesn't throw their customers out for having the audacity to make reasonable requests. read more

We have been bringing our babies to Wags for about 15-16 years. Sue has such a wonderful demeanor and treats our dogs like they are her own. Brought our newest babies, Glamour and Ginger, today and they always look and smell great! Today was Ginger, our rescues, third visit. The first time we brought her, she was way too nervous. Sue didn't want to stress her out with the clippers. I truly appreciated the fact that Ginger wasn't pushed. The second time and today, Ginger walks in like she owns the place. No further issues! Rude owner. Establishment lackluster, smelly. Underestimates timing, so give yourself an extra hour or two from what you're quoted after dropping off your pet. If you're not satisfied with the job, expect to be rescheduled a week later and then asked to pay for a full job again. Sure, prices are competitive, but remember, you get what you pay for. Bad service and mediocre grooming results. My baby pup is only 8 months old, she's been there 2x's. Ever since she'd been serviced at Wags she is not comfortable getting her mouth groomed. Our new groomer advised that when she hears the clippers turn on she jumps. I am not happy with the service or results at Wags. I will not return here for business with my dog. read more

My mom has the most sensitive shih tzu ever and this is the only place he isn't afraid to go after having bad grooming experiences. She recommended this place because our 4 month old shih tzu mix was in need of major grooming help. Wags gave her the most adorable puppy cut, cleaned her up, made her smell amazing and gave her a cute little bow and a new toy. She left a happy girl. Prices were very reasonable and you can really tell they love their pets. I felt so comfortable leaving my baby there. She told me to give her an hour, and she was done right on time. I have taken my yorkie there three times and they have only done a good job once, although the owner is very nice, this last time I took my poor dog she came out butchered. I asked her for a hair cut but with a bear face, my dog looked like a child grabbed the clippers and gave my dog a haircut. Her hair around her face was trimmed very short and in different directions and it was not trimmed to give her a bear face. It's now growing after 3 weeks but going to be awhile before it grows and it's definitely not growing even. When I picked her up my heart was crushed and I regret not saying anything. I brought my dog Mal in in December after I had a major surgery and was unable to lift the dog into the bath here at home. I called on my next door neighbor's recommendation because their dog always looks great and the owner was super sweet and I was able to get him in for a bath and a face trim the same day. He can be kind of skittish around strangers, but he did well with Wags. He was done in about an hour, and when I picked him up he looked beautiful and he smelled fantastic and stayed smelling good for at least couple of weeks afterward.
