I've been a fan of Wahoo's for many years and have visited several of their locations which seem to be consistently great no matter where I go. This location stood out for being very spacious and for having outstandingly friendly and attentive customer service. I came for lunch on a weekday. I ordered a chicken enchilada with green sauce, ala carte, plus an order of Maui onion rings. I also got a root beer from the soda fountain. In a short time my food was delivered to my table. As always, my meal was simple but made with flavorful, quality ingredients. The enchilada was delicious, the green sauce giving the perfect amount of spiciness for me. The chicken was great quality but, maybe it's just me, the enchiladas seem to have gotten smaller. I love the onion rings here as the batter is tasty with a fantastic crunch. The batter here seemed thinner than other locations I've eaten at though. I've been eating Wahoo's Fish Tacos for decades. This location has what the other locations have: nice staff, healthy choices, and a clean environment. Like the other Wahoo's, there are stickers all over the place. I feel good getting take out from here because the employees treat everyone well, the food is boxed nicely, and tastes good. In the days when I had a higher metabolism, I did eat things like the french fries. They still have those on the menu. Their pico de gallo is one of my favorites out of any restaurant chain. This Gen X gives Wahoo's 5 stars. The #1 combo meal with a fish taco 1988 style, black beans, and ahi rice seems to always hit the spot, so to speak. They also have vegetarian options. I ordered tacos and chips and salsa for delivery. The fried and grilled fish tacos were absolutely DELICIOUS! I love the fresh ingredients that were on top, and the flavor was fantastic. The chips were warm and fresh - but the salsa....was not salsa. It was like a container of sauce. Just liquid sauce. Not good at all. I love Wahoo's and nearly always try to come here when in OC. It's become a franchise in SoCal and some locations are better than others. This spot is always consistent for me. They've introduced a salsa bar which is nice. And the menu has become quite extensive. I ordered the protein bowl with carne asada and shrimp. It was on top of a delicious coleslaw and steamed veggies. No carbs & really yummy. My son ordered the chicken taquitos. Now, truth be known, I love the taquitos from Wahoo's! But I don't eat fried food anymore, so I just drooled over my son's food. The taquitos come with guacamole and sour cream. Fried to order. It's pretty much Americanized Mexican food, but I love the service, I love the vibe, and I love that it reminds me of home. Definitely worth trying if you're hankering fresh mex style food. read more

I've been a customer of the Aliso location for almost 15 years. Unfortunately, It has gone down hill the past few years. The staff turn over has been excessive and quality of service has dropped significantly. The food is still pretty much the same no complaints there but the time it now takes for food to come out has drastically increased. I hope they can turn things around soon. read more

Let me start by saying I am handicapped and today I tried walking for the first time and I celebrated by going to my favorite Wahoos where I usually order the taco/enchilada plate. Luis Avila was the order taker, what a nice guy! He patiently the burrito menu and I selected his favorite the Outer Reef Burrito, which now is my favorite. Then Mr Avila noticed I was having a bit of difficulty walking and he helped me to my table. Then he brought condiments, silverware and napkins to me, If all of that wasn't enough to win me as a fan, he asked what channel I wanted to watch. Suddenly I'm eating the delicious burrito and watching sports. My best meal here in over 30 years of being a Wahoo die hard. Wahoos is AMAZING. I always get a bowl with the spicy fish and the veggies. My boyfriend always gets the burritos. The tacos are obviously amazing as well. The different sauces are magical (they have a sauce table where you can get all the cups you need and I always fill up) it's totally worth the heartburn. No regrets. My son LOVES wahoo's kids bowls. The team here always provides such great service. They really take care of us, as my one year old can be pretty lively haha. They are super friendly with him, make sure we have enough napkins (kids right?!) and anything else we need. Our favorites are the citrus slaw tacos, the shrimp enchiladas, the 1988 burrito, and the sunset chopped salad. And during the winter months, I love the albondigus soup. Added to the terrific food is the terrific, friendly service. Since we eat here almost every week, we've gotten to know Caesar, Maria, and Delia and the new manager, Alfredo. We have lived in the area for 21 years. This place used to be a weekly staple. My kids loved this place, we loved this place. Now the service is average at its best. We waited 20 minutes for soup and a taco. It's 7:30 on a Friday night, the salsa bar is dirty and empty, people have lifted the trays out to get some salsa. You have to bus your own tables which is no big deal but it's obvious that no one is wiping the tables down. The employee used to be so helpful.
