Katakana and Alejandra are always courteous and polite, their customer service is top notch. They always make us feel welcome and that's why we keep coming back to this establishment. The food tastes great, their wahoo's fish and shrimp bowls are delicious and the ingredients taste fresh. I highly recommend this location in laguna beach.

One of my favorite restaurants!! First of all, the price is incredible, you get what you pay for and more. I 100% recommend the outer reef burrito. For my choice of protein I chose crispy flounder and it was delicious. You can't be in Laguna and not hit this spot. You will not be disappointed. There's something for everyone and the ambiance and location is just great. Patio looks right out to the ocean. I WILL be coming back.

All the times we have passed various Wahoos in beach cities, I don't recall ever eating at one. Service here was friendly. Restaurant could be cleaner. My chicken tortilla soup was okay. The potato tacos were good. I'll be back when in the area & try other options.

I was excited to see a Wahoo's as it's always a good option. It was chilly but to overlook the ocean while eating Wahoo's was a treat even though I don't eat fish anymore it's the perfect vibe. Only 4 stars because it took awhile to get my one dish and I was the only one there.

    He's back!

WAHOOOO!! Where do I begin? Should I start with the cockroach in the kitchen or the 2 chefs with no masks on??? Like WHAT?!! Not only was the wait extremely long for what we ordered, but they also just forgot to give us onion rings so we were even more upset when we got home. Half of the order was made for dine-in when it should have been for take-out and the switch to take-out took 10 extra minutes. To be frank, this place was a hot mess. And after the whole cockroach nightmare, which I could have made a huge deal of, they didn't even do anything about it when I showed them the cockroach!! Made it seem like this happens all the time??? So bad. Like horrible.

Very long wait time even though they were not busy at all. below average service. The store seems understaffed.

The food here is good, but the service and the general "lack" of willingness to make it right when they screw up is atrocious.

Food was good. Had a red chicken enchilada with sides of black beans and salad. Could eat inside, outside, or in food court. Wasn't busy.

Beans taste homemade and traditionally made. Salsa had a little kick to it but not too spicy. Ordered the parrillada; the chicken was tender and moist. The shredded pork carnitas were crispy yet juicy. The steak was perfectly medium rare and tender to eat. Shrimp was cooked beautifully and firm. The corn was cold but it was still good! Came with a side of onions and jalapenos. The flour tortillas were taco sized. Great shareable plate for 2-3 people. Had the virgin margarita and it was one of the best virgin drinks I've had. Not just a bunch of sugar and soda water like other mocktails. It had freshly made syrups and with chunks of cucumbers. So refreshing!

The sign said to wait to be seated, but my dad waited around for about 10 minutes without seeing anyone at the host stand. The bartender told him it was okay to go outside & find an available table, so we weren't trying to skip any rules...we were just following what we were told. When we finally spoke with the hostess, she explained she was trying to manage multiple tables, which was understandable, but the communication could have been a little clearer. Once we sat down, everything was great. The drinks were delicious, we enjoyed a quick snack with chips and guacamole, & the service was friendly & efficient. We didn't try the food, but it seems like a nice spot for a casual drink or quick bite. Overall, we had a good experience and would come back.

I had been looking forward to trying it, but unfortunately my experience was a little mixed. First, the parking situation was incredibly disappointing. There's no valet, and finding street parking in the surrounding area was absolutely insane--and this was on a weekday! I actually like to walk and am in good shape, but I finally found a spot several blocks away and couldn't help wondering what everyone else does for parking. My husband got much luckier and happened to snag a spot near the restaurant when he arrived from work. For dinner, I was excited to try the seafood enchiladas, but they were SO spicy. I normally enjoy a little heat, but the level of spice completely overwhelmed the dish for me, especially since I don't remember seeing anything on the menu indicating that they were particularly spicy. I'll take some responsibility here because I didn't say anything to our server, who was actually wonderful. I'm sure they would have happily addressed it or remade the dish had I spoken up. The sides didn't stand out to me, either. Our usual go-to for Mexican food is Calo Kitchen in Laguna Niguel, and based on this particular meal, I didn't think South of Nick's was quite as good. That said, everyone else at our table seemed to really enjoy what they ordered, so I think I may have just had an unfortunate choice with my dish. The service was great, and I'd be willing to give it another try and order something different next time. I'm just not sure I want to deal with that parking again!
