Wake cup is such an underrated matcha spot. Small location but sweet man working. Their strawberry matcha is amazing. Tastes fresh & not too sweet. I haven't tried the food just yet but I've been multiple times for their matcha & it's the real deal.

Iced Matcha Latte w/ Pistachio Foam + Boba - 4.5 stars, wonderful! Mon afternoon 2025-06-16

Cute spot for a coffee/boba/light meal! Parking found on Masonic just south of Oak. That block right below Oak is 2-hour without permits, FYI. My friend enjoyed her smoked salmon open sandwich. I got an Iced Matcha Latte w/ Pistachio Foam + Boba, total $8.25 with tax/tip. It was delicious, the foam was wonderfully thick and a perfect balance of salty & sweet. 4.5 stars.

the cutest little hole in the wall kinda store! i came in not expecting much but was glad to be pleasantly surprised. the matcha definitely comes through and blends well with the pistachio foam on top. speaking of the foam, it doesn't feel like a chunk of cheese the way others do. it's very smooth and adds to the nutty flavor of the matcha. the staff are also very friendly! i came in about half an hour before closing and the chairs were already stacked on tables etc. but they didn't hesitate to offer bringing them down for me. i declined because i wasn't staying but i think it speaks well to their customer service. for studying: it's definitely a tight squeeze for groups bigger than 1-2 people but there is wifi so you could definitely get some work done here.

At Wake Cup right now--great vibe and solid drinks. Coffee is smooth and well-made, and the spot has a chill Haight Street feel. Service is friendly, just a little slow during busy times. Overall, a nice place to hang and grab a good cup

Tiny, but amazing lil coffee shop on Haight! Stopped by with a friend and got the Matcha Latte with Pistachio Cream (seasonal item I think) and the Brown Sugar Matcha. They were so good!! Never had matcha with pistachio cream but it was seriously amazing. Sweet and great flavor! This place has an impressive menu of specialty drinks, whether you want matcha, boba, tea, or coffee. Minimal seating inside but it wasn't busy at all when we came at 2pm on a Sunday.

I've walked by this cafe forever, never seeing past the metal security gate. 11:30a Thursday: Open for business. Great little place with a cheerful yellow & white striped awning, 2 weathered cafe tables outside, both currently occupied by women eating their takeout from another store. There's 2 counters, one along the window so I can stare at them disapprovingly. Whatever, I've done it myself when a place isn't crowded. But still. Wake Cup had a steady line for take-out, & by noon most of the chairs were taken. Staff is friendly, food comes out fast. I overheard a lot of orders for sweetened coffee. Talking to you Brown Sugar Latte. The cafe has an extensive breakfast, lunch & beverage menu. On to the main event. Avocado Toast. Ordered the Supreme, topped with bacon & fried egg. Egg a little runny for me, but I never asked for it more cooked. Decent amount of avocado, sprinkled with seeds over non-artisanal bread. That means prices way more reasonable, & bonus, bread Actually Toasted!! My tea latte was perfectly mixed, presented in a large cup, enough to Wake cUp. Nice alternative to the long lines at some of the other places. If you're in the Upper Haight Wake Up is a solid choice. I'll definitely return. Support Local!

Very cute coffee shop! Passed by this place while on a walk and was happy to see that I could order a lavender latte! I ordered an iced lavender latte with whole milk. It was good! I didn't do a good job of mixing the syrup/the overall drink so I sadly got past all the sweetness in a few sips. They also have soy milk (no extra charge I believe) and other milk alternatives (I think an extra charge). My husband ordered a hot vanilla latte with soy milk. He really enjoyed it and appreciated that it was neither initially too hot to drink nor overly sweet.

    Wake Cup Wrap

Great place for a quick breakfast! I ordered the Matcha Latte with Pistachio Cold Foam. Best matcha I've had in awhile! The pistachio complimented the matcha flavor without overpowering it. The Wake Cup Wrap was also delicious and a good serving for one person. My friend tried the iced Spanish Latte and Lox Bagel. She really enjoyed the bagel but said the Spanish Latte tasted a little burnt and it was harder to mix in the condensed milk at the bottom. Our order came out fast and it was not crowded so we were able to sit inside at the tables.

    Iced Crème Brûlée Coffee Latte

Crème brûlée latte was SOO good. I walked in just because I was passing by but this is definitely going to be a must stop whenever I'm in the city.

my roomates and i went to this place, and it was so disappointing. we ordered two thai milk teas and a strawberry matcha, and it was so genuinely nasty. It was not only super watery but it tasted like rusty sewer water. It looked delicious but the taste was so unbearable

Their lettuce is shredded but fresh and crispy. The salt content is just enough to bring out the flavors. And the overall composition of their sandwiches are very well proportioned. The store itself is very cute and charming, full of so many items - fresh meats and cheeses, imported olive oils, pastas, desserts, wine, and liquor to name a few. There is an area where you can get coffee drinks and there is a deli area for ordering sandwiches, pizzas, specialty dishes, and salads. The variety of options is plentiful. I ordered an iced coffee beverage, which was great. My significant other and I ordered a sandwich to go, which we were splitting for a light lunch back at the hotel. The person helping at the counter was not very friendly or helpful with questions. We asked for our sandwich to be made on the Dutch Crunch bread, as we were looking forward to trying it. Unfortunately, when we got back to the hotel, it turned out that the sandwich was made on a regular ciabatta roll, which was not fresh. Additionally, the sandwich was mostly mixed greens. For the price, I expected more meat. With so many great food options in San Francisco, it is likely we won't stop by on future visits to the City.

The preferable lemon pepper chicken sandwich was bright, flavorful, and tangy, with more dimension. I don't know if it's my favorite sandwich, but certainly top five. I give them five stars, however, because everyone was unpretentious and super nice, the sandwich artist is a machine, they have unique items, and they only charge $1.25 for a can of soda. As for the fresh chocolate chip cookies, my wife liked them. I didn't understand the hype. They were fudgey and doughy, so I guess if you like eating cookie dough you'll love them.
