They have around twenty different outstanding flavors in the store, all unique and tasty. The employees in the store are also informative and pleasant. VEGAN donuts! Yay! Recently moved to the area from Denver and was spoiled there by Voodoo. Although I am grateful Wake N Bake has vegan donuts, from the several trips there, they don't vary them much. Voodoo had many of their classics available in vegan (both cake and yeast varieties), as things like peanut butter and many types of cereal are naturally vegan anyway. It would be very easy to get more creative with the vegan options. Having said that, I'll certainly support the effort toward more animal-friendly, local fare and I do appreciate having them! read more

Wow! That's all I have to say! I'm not much of a donut girl, but I had to try these! My husband went and picked up half dozen. Two peanut butter, which is a must try if you are a PB junkie like I am! There is vanilla PB cream in the center and a Reese cup on top! Awesome! The Boston Cream donut was also good according to my hubby, as well as the maple bacon and cookies and cream! I personally like donuts that are filled! If I'm going to eat a donut I want to go all out! So I would recommend a filled one, but it's all it what your taste is! They are all good! The second time we went here we were only going to order coffee (also delicious), but while in the shop looking at the donuts we couldn't resist, so my boyfriend and I both ended up ordered one each. Not as good as Birtt's BUT pretty dang close since they have a variety of different donuts to try. I like that they have donut hole samples to munch on while waiting in line (wait are you only supposed to have one? ;) ) I've been here a couple of times now and my favorite things get are their bacon topped donuts, samoa donuts, and a flavored iced coffee. They have a large variety of flavors - our favorites were the strawberry cheesecake and the Samoa - even later in the day. Prices were competitive, coming in at $9 a half dozen. Stopped by this shop after finding that Britt's Donuts were closed for the season with high hopes that it would be as great as I'd read in the reviews. Unfortunately I found the donuts to be rather disappointing. I spent nearly $9 for the 6 "specialty" donuts (which I must admit look very appetizing and creative) but found the overall taste and quality to be decent at best. The donuts were chewy and, honestly, a bit doughy for my taste. They were very thick and dry. Maybe it was the time of day that we went (later in the afternoon) but I honestly expected more after reading all the rave reviews. read more

We stopped in for coffee and doughnuts while traveling. First thought walking in was how great it smelled. Friendly staff and fast service. We tried the waken bacon doughnut and one with kids cereal on top. Both were great. Just the right amount of sweetness and flavor. The dark roast coffee was great as well.
