    Omelet, grits, and toast

This breakfast place was a block from our hotel. Ordered a chai and an omelet with grits. We were there when they opened so were seated pretty quickly. Service was quick. and we were able to eat, walk around a bit after breakfast before going on a tour. What a great neighborhood cafe.

The food was so good we had breakfast here two out of the three mornings we were in town. The grits were my favorite. Service was good, friendly, and timely. Highly recommend!

Sourdough King was PHENOMENAL!! One of the best breakfast sandwiches I've ever had the pleasure of eating. Slap some hot sauce on that bad boy and your taste buds will be dancing like it's Fat Tuesday. Complimented by the delicious Cajun breakfast potatoes and you've got yourself the perfect breakfast, possibly even a hangover cure (if applicable). Service was great and the servers were attentive. Really enjoyed the ambiance inside, they had cool decorations in there and also local artwork on display and for sale. Awesome breakfast spot that I'd highly recommend if you're in the area!!

Cute lil spot, serving up some classics and some non-traditional options. The food options we chose were tasty and the service was engaging and honest. The ambiance was better suited for perhaps Key West given the esthetics, music selection and menu. But it was still a welcoming and yummy spot to catch some AM energy!

Best breakfast!! And not just in Nola, in general!! Love coming here. The voodoo brew and the usual are my favorites!! This cozy breakfast spot is perfect. Even when it's hot outside, you can stop in here to cool down, get a strong coffee and amazing food. The biscuits are fresh, hot and fall apart while you're eating them; the bacon is crispy and flavorful; and they give you plenty of fruit with the fruit side. Highly recommend!

This place is so cute! Very clean, nicely decorated you can buy local art which is neat. Prices are pretty reasonable! I had "the usual" and it was really good! The homemade biscuit was great and not dry, eggs were cooked perfectly. Wasn't too fond of the chai tea latte, it tasted good but was gritty from the topping. The rest of our group had the king sourdough sandwich which they said was great and the power bowl which was also good but very heavy on the beans. Our server was nice and answered all our questions and made sure there was no cross contamination with a food allergy at our table! Fresh OJ was great!

This place is sooooo great, friendly service, fair prices and excellent food with attention to detail. We visited on our last day in town, but they will be on repeat for future visits!

Cute little place on the corner. Biscuits and gravy was the best I ever had!! Sandwich was ok but wouldn't order that again. Potato's were good. If you even have an inkling for B&G get them!!!!! Would definitely go again!! Mad I didn't before I left lol.

    Interesting interior.

Cozy corner place. Strong coffee. I had the Seafood etouffee and grits. This is a tasty shrimp and crawfish stew on a generous bed of grits with eggs on top. Tasty stew and filing and interesting breakfast. Oh! The dish comes with lightly toasted sourdough bread. This dryer bread was great for dipping and balanced the spicy soup.

I didn't mind at all waiting outside because it was such a beautiful day, and it was just great being in New Orleans. I will say the food was astronomically delicious. First off, that honey butta hot chicken sandwich is so delicious. The spice and sweet and the butta is so rich and leaves a long lasting impression. That is the bite you'll be thinking about and returning for. But don't sleep on the donuts either! Normally I'm not huge on donuts but that lil peanut butta cup donut with the whipped peanut mouse and chocolate ganache...yeah ima need that. It's perfectly balanced with the bitter chocolate ganache, and the light mouse. Obviously, after you're eating all this, you're gonna need something to wash it down. They have an excellent selection of coffee and teas, I enjoyed their chai latte, which wasn't too sweet for my pallet. After I thought I couldn't eat anymore, the chicory ice cream spoke to me so I had to answer. Stopping here made for a perfect day of indulgence than walking up and down magazine Street and shopping. The staff here is so nice too! They let us come hang out back here after we were done shopping and needed to rest for a bit. Which was nice because this place has a decent amount of seating and a little patio in the back and some seats out front. I would absolutely recommend this place to anybody. We checked into our nearby hotel a bit early in the day and was looking to hit the streets for a spot to get a chill/light breakfast, a coffee and maybe a cocktail. We found all the things at Luzianne Cafe. Whether you belly up to the bar or grab a table, both of which are first come first serve, you start at the counter where you order, pay and grab your table number. It appears that during busy times they allow you to sit first and order from the QR at your table, this is an assumption given the code to order at the table, but the sign at the entry directed folks to the counter to order before sitting. For breakfast, we got the breakfast biscuit which came with eggs, bacon and cheese, and sided it with grits. The breakfast sandwich was solid, eggs were a bit soft and grits were more mealy than we are used to, but I think that may be authenticity of the area more than anything. I opted for the three option omelet with onion, sausage and gouda plus a side of sausage links. The omelet, though odd sounding combination turned out to be solid. Maybe it was my options, but it was decently "one note" in flavor. I tossed a little hot sauce on and that helped. However, while the sausage links were not much to look at, they were tasty, with a nice snap to the casing and meaty inside. To go with our breakfast, I got a cold brew with a splash of almond milk while my partner embraced NOLA and started his day with a bourbon sour. Both of us enjoyed our choices! Service was friendly and helpful at the counter/bar. The food runner was nice and then another member, assuming the Manager, that stopped by to check on us mid meal. She was super friendly and nice. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and drinks at Luzianne. Minor things noted, mainly on the cook of the eggs, but nothing awful. It his the spot and checked the boxes!

We were a party of 3 adults and 2 children (one being only 2 years old), and because of that they changed our table type from a 4-top to a 5-top and made us wait an additional 30 minutes. Meanwhile, multiple tables became available that easily could have accommodated us, but the hostess was determined to keep telling us we had to wait. To make matters worse, there was open bench seating in the back where customers ordering to-go could sit. I offered to order food to-go so we could at least sit down and get started while waiting, and she told me if I did that they would remove our name from the waitlist because "you have to pick one or the other." No willingness to problem solve whatsoever. She repeatedly said she was "sorry," but her actions showed the opposite. I was simply trying to work together to find some reasonable solution instead of continuing to watch everyone else get seated while our family, including small children, kept waiting. Absolutely horrible customer service experience.
