I wouldn't recommend walking in and eating inside the restaurant. You're asked to order at an awkward counter at the center of the restaurant, then find your own seating, AND THEN separately go to the bar if you want to order drinks. We asked for a high chair for our little one and ended up having to grab it ourselves after waiting way too long. No waters given, no silverware provided. Even though the restaurant has some fantastic Rock & Roll posters, the actual music being played was dreadful. That being said, the chicken was excellent, among the best I've had in Colorado (why is it so hard to find good chicken here?). Mac & cheese and coleslaw were great. PLEASE hire an experienced FOH manager to clean up the restaurant experience. I am desperate for more restaurant options in the area and could see myself here on a weekly basis with friends and family, just not in its current state. If you only take away one thing from my review, take this. This place was amazing and I would absolutely recommend it to everyone who likes fried chicken. I went thru the drive thru at about 8:30pm and the guy on the box (whos name i didn't catch, so so sorry) had the best vibes ever. He was so friendly and made me feel so welcomed even thru a very quick exchange. At the window, he was just as kind and again the service was fast. It seemed like everyone was having such a good time and actually like their job and the people they work with. Having an environment like this in a restaurant that you can see and feel is so rare and it was a very welcome feeling. And the food? Some of the best chicken I've had since I've moved here. It's so perfectly seasoned and cooked well. The potato wedges were awesome and the tender sauce went perfectly with everything. The chicken was amazing! We ordered the quarter chicken, collared greens and white beans, as well as tenders with Mac and cheese!! We had four of the spiciest sauces ever (we chose the hot ones) and they are legit!!! Our service was outstanding! Natasha made sure we never wanted for anything and out door arrived almost immediately!! We were greeted at the door with friendliness! Reasonably priced for all this amazingness!! What a let down. I love fried chicken. I ordered the 2 piece that has 2 sides. They have a choice of about 6 sauces. The chicken came and I knew I had made a mistake , the "two" piece was a leg and one inch of thigh meat, soggy over salted fries, a mini muffin that was soggy and tasteless and coleslaw that was drowning in liquid, YUCK! The chicken was grocery store fried chicken , $12 for one chicken leg is way too expensive. My friend got the chicken sandwich, Popeyes sandwich the chicken is bigger than the bun, here at Waldo's you had to remove the bun to find one small pathetic patty, pounded thin and not crispy. Good they have beer because the food is not worth the trip. Never did see a manager just teenagers. read more

This is the second time I have went to a Waldo's Chicken. The chicken as usual was good and all the food was good. The ambiance was okay our table was not cleaned prior to us sitting at it and I was starting to feel like I don't know about this. Then there was the service our order was completely wrong and we were missing food and I was ready to go. Until Brian probably a manager came out and made things right. He immediately got someone to wipe off our table. Brian made sure we had all of our food items. I just wanted to make sure that he was recognized for his good customer service. Just because of Brian's effort I will return to Waldo's Chicken. That is not common these days that you run into a manager that just wants to make things right about your experience at their restaurant. So Brian thank you and keep it up. I will definitely choose Waldo's chicken again just because someone actually is trying to make things right if there is a problem and cares about the customer. read more

This is such a fun place to visit with family or large group of friends because the food is fun to eat. You can eat with your fingers if you want to you don't have to get too dressed up but it does make a cute couples spot if you want to come here with a group of couples, and just relax before going to a movie or after a long day of running errands. We actually came here and a group of eight people to celebrate one of my siblings birthdays, and it was pretty cool because it was right before our movie started and we just had so much fun talking. The environment is very friendly and clean. I always look for streaks on tables and countertops and windows and this place looks like everyone's working very hard to keep it wiped down and freshly cleaned and sanitize at all times which is impressive, I really like the set up is like an old-fashioned New York or East Coast spot. This is my first review ever, so apologies if it's not the way reviews are normally done. I cannot recommend this place enough. Every staff member was polite and helpful (I'm annoying and I have a beer allergy, so I had to ask if the food was beer based while at a beer place...I know, don't come for me), including a man who was either the manager or the owner who came by repeatedly to check on us, cleared the table himself, and brought us a free banana pudding to celebrate my friend's promotion at work. The chicken was PERFECTLY fried - crispy on the outside, beautifully seasoned, tender and juicy on the inside. Everything was hot and clearly fresh.
