If you are sick and in need of your medication, I would recommend having your prescription sent elsewhere. Normally, you have to wait anywhere between 30-45min in line to pick up your prescription no matter what time it is. This is true even if they text/email/call you to alert you that your medication is ready. The reason for the wait is that they are exceptionally disorganize and their staff will "go on break" whenever the line gets long. The staff will also lie to you just to get rid of you. Not to mention that it is a crap shoot whether you get all your medication during the pick up. Also, double check your medication before taking them. I recommend searching for a picture of the meds on Google and then check your pill against it. We all make mistakes but these guys are probably the primary reason why they put erasers on pencils. They get irritated if you ask an extra question or two. This is especially true if you are asking about insurance or the price. If they don't like your comments or questions, they will get the security guard to intimidate you into leaving. read more

Booked an app with Walgreens for covid19 testing @ 11.45am, didn't get tested until 12.40pm. Testing is through drive through and there is no clear sign to tell you where the drive through is. You will also have to test by yourself, staff in Walgreens provide you with the testing kit and you perform the test by yourself. There were about 5 or 6 cars in front of me, each car is taking forever to get the task done. Test result is available within 1-5 days. Normally other testing sites will give results within 1-3 days. Would never go back to this pharmacy again for anything. read more

After a horrible experience at CVS, I took a prescription here late at night desperate times have it filled. The pharmacy staff was kind & helpful. The pharmacist provided clear instructions for what needed to happen to get the prescription filled that night. Once getting all the boxes checked they filled the prescription within 30 minutes! This review is for Walgreens Pharmacy as a whole and not toward the pharmacists there. There is just not enough staffs working behind the counters ! Waited for almost an hour to pick up my new prescriptions. Both in-store and drive-thru pick ups are long & really(2x) slow moving. (Really miss Lucky Supermarket Pharmacy). The location of the pharmacy around so many medical facilities there make it one of the busiest pharmacy. I will give their free shipping service (for refilling) a try. Will move my prescriptions to somewhere else if Walgreens does not live to my expectation. Hopefully Walgreens corporate will address this long and slow lines at this location. read more

False Advertise and Rude clerk. Walgreens removed my review on their website because I gave them 1 star. October 31st, I ordered Epson Salt online for pickup and paid with credit card at Walgreens ( at corner of Mowry Ave/Paseo Padre Blvd store) because they are on sale and in stock. 11/01, Walgreen canceled my order because they are not available, but their website still showed they are available and in stock. Called the online customer service, they said I should called the local store to check if they were in stock. Not sure if they're always busy or if the day I went in was just hectic.. but I ordered 1 11x12 canvas & 1 12-month calendar. I placed my order 8:45am. It said both items would be ready by 1:35pm. I went in a little after 2pm. Neither of my items were ready. The lady was extremely rude. So I decided I didn't want them then got in line to purchase gummy bears, literally waited 15 mins! My husband was seen at Washington Emergency at night and was told to pick up the medication on our way back home early morning. When we went to pick up the medicine next day morning, they said the order didn't come through. I showed them pictures of discharge summary with all the details, requested them to give a call to the emergency department to verify. I had to call the emergency department multiple times and every time the hospital said the medication was sent in the correct way but the pharmacy kept on telling me they didn't receive it. I had to wait for more than an hour in the pharmacy, confused and anxious while my husband was waiting at home for the medicine so he could have some food. Do not go here if you can. Not happy with the night duty pharmacist. He was very condescending and a jerk. We pulled up and there was a sign at the window that said pharmacist on break from 4-4:15AM. We were there at 4:45 AM and we sat in the drive through for 5 mins and then we honked to let him know we are waiting at the window. We pulled up with our physical prescriptions and he kept looking up our prescriptions in his system. We told him we have the physical copy and then he snapped at us and told us that we should have told him earlier. Which we did. Then he put us in the system and told us to go and wait in the parking lot for 30 mins even though there was not a single car around neither was a single human inside the store. He made it clear that he all the power to hand out our medications and he would make us wait at 4 am in the morning for no good reason. Then he told us to get out from the window because we were blocking the drive thru. Mind you, there was no one in sight. Not a single human or a car. This guy was not helpful and very rude. It's a good thing he's on night shift and not the mornings. He's clearly not a people person. Horrible experience here. But we had no choice since this was the only pharmacy that was open at this hour. I have worked at cvs pharmacy as a pharm tech and I know for a fact, that if the customer is waiting, you have to prioritize them and fill their script within a certain time. Do not come to this Walgreens for a COVID test. My child needed a negative test for sports, so I made an appointment for the drive through. I have now been in line for 50 minutes in the drive through. The email says to arrive 5 min before your appointment, but the appointment time means nothing. read more

This pharmacy is the most mismanaged pharmacy I have been to. People with appointments wait for so long to get to the counter and then are told to wait until someone comes to attend them which could take another hour. We had to wait in the drive thru for an hour to get the testing done because only two people are looking for customers for both pharmacy and drive thru. Every time I visited here someone is losing their patience because they would be waiting for long and not sure when they would be attended to. Management needs to work on this. read more

Don't bother asking the Pharmacist questions they are busy. The pharmacists techs are very unhappy people who robotically punch buttons on computers and tell you when to come pick it up. This pharmacy has a good location but the wait time is always at least 30 minutes, even with drive thru. Thank goodness it's 24 hours, right near the ER and all the dr's offices. I generally drop off the prescriptions and go grab lunch from Panera or Chipotle. There IS fresh fruit and salads at the front register though, that's nice. Bathrooms are locked with a key code that employees know. Thankfully there's spacious parking though! read more

Actually I would have given this place three stars if it weren't for the ridiculous set up near the front of the store. They block off the doors so that if you head towards the "entrance" door on your way out, you are stuck and thus need to walk around an entire display in order to reach the exit door. What. All staff are unhelpful, rude and unprofessional from pharmacy to the floor assistants. On multiple occasions I have had experienced attitude, and uncooperative staff. I only occasionally return, as it is conveniently located. From unstaffed desks to being told the wrong information for example, I called and asked if they had a product and if they price matched with their own company's online store and was told yes - drive all the way there and get told 'no we don't do that' - the manager was called to assist me and never arrived (as expected). This pharmacy is the worst, it's the closest one to my home and near my hospital so I naturally went here when I moved here. But it's terrible, there is no time of day or night when there isn't a long line and this has a drive through that I've tried twice both time in line almost an hour and both times they got my prescriptions wrong then telling me that I needed to come back. I should have refused to get out of the drive through window before they give me what I ordered.. it looks like I need to change to a different pharmacy because these bunch of incompetent staff can't even get my orders correct. I had no other option since my usual hospital pharmacy isn't open through the night and needed the meds ASAP. This was my first time using this particular service. I started off at the drive thru at about 11 PM, was told my Rx was not sent from my hospital. Pulled out of there and called to verify if they sent one and sure enough they did, but these guys never checked their voicemail. So I come back, have to wait since there are people inside too and there are barely any staff. She told me they'd fill the prescription and asked me to circle back around with my car. I decided to just walk into the pharmacy and it took me a good 45 min to 1 hr to sort this whole mess and get the meds. I was frustrated at the lack of competency regardless of them being friendly. Will stick to my hospital pharmacy and not wander off next time. Also remembered that I tried to get a TENS unit in the past at one location and their online system gave false info and I had to drive all around from Walgreens to Walgreens while being in a lot of pain. There was a time, long ago, when the pharmacy was great. 4+ windows, lines not too long, drive thru was not too bad, and open 24 hours so if you really don't like lines, go late. NO MORE! Now open 9-9 and which means very long lines inside and out. Usually only one window is open for pickups. Even before this debacle of long lines, the service was pretty bad. I don't recall one time in the last 3 years when I went to the window, they went to the bin where my stuff should be, I got it and paid. Not in the bin, check somewhere else. Not there, check somewhere else. Not there, check the bin again. Run around for 10 min, checking computer and all over until they finally locate it. This is just shoddy workmanship. I understand occasional mistakes, but this is like every time, and for everyone in line it seems. Inept. So you'd think, OK I'll pay online and have it delivered. NO! I've been trying for a week to do that and there is a 'system error' even though I've tried 2 computers and 4 browsers (so it's not on my end). I tried calling the store's pharmacy, was on hold for 42 minutes until it was my turn, I heard them pick up and drop the phone. I called the 877 number, another 20 min on hold before I gave up FOREVER. I'm trying CVS. I'll by quite happy to never visit this place again. read more
