Today it took 35 minutes to pick up my prescription in the drive thru. The line inside was 10 people deep. Only one line open as is common. When I finally reached the drive thru window the woman did not even acknowledge my presence. Then she left to speak to another clerk and upon returning to her station again did not acknowledge me. I have had a prescription here for a number of years and it has been getting worse. Long lines, not enough staff, and staff not very friendly. Will be moving my prescription today. read more

Long lines at lunch hour, both indoor and outdoor, inefficient, slow, very few staff, and a very slow computer. The teller even commented the computer was slow. One teller for the Covid vaccine window, one for the drive-thru, and one additional person. Why can't it be like Kaiser Niles Pharmacy, where I pick up my mom's medications. I have been fighting with this pharmacy for well over a year. They refuse to follow the prescription that is written for my thyroid medication!! I spoke with Medicare, my Doctor and Walgreens district manager. Every 90 days I face this nightmare! I try calling and am on hold for an hour plus. I have to return twice for them to give me the right number of tabs despite being on automatic refill, and we go round and round for 45 minutes to an hour! This is absurd! I am going to try and register a complaint with Calif Pharmacy Board for not filling the prescription per MD orders. read more

I come to pick up meds, they're not ready, but I'm told they'll be ready in an hour. Come back a few hours later, they're still not ready, told they'll be ready that evening. Come back, they're STILL NOT READY. Asked if they'll be ready in the morning told yes, they would be. Come back the following day around noon. Meds aren't ready. These are my pain meds for my surgery. Told them not to bother filling them, called my doctor to have the prescription filled elsewhere. Absolutely unacceptable. I used to buy baby food from here before COVID. Last month when I went there to buy baby formula milk I was told I can't buy more than 2 packs - believe it or not but there is no definition of a pack. So you can buy two cartons/ packs - each containing 6 cans or you can buy 2 cans that are already pulled out from the cartons. The reason I was told was COVID for this policy. The two pack or carton policy did not make any sense to me because either you can buy 12 or 2 cans and nothing in between like 3 that I wanted. So I called for the manager but turned out the lady who told me this nonsense was the manager who was irrational to the extreme. She said you could leave and come back to get one more but as per Walgreens policy she would not sell me 3 at a time. I will never go back to this store until she is let go from this job. I'm regurgitating with what the masses say, yes it's very convenient, and that's about it. I work very odd hours, and I needed a place that I could go pick up my prescriptions 24 hours a day. I've tried to give this place a chance, over and over again, and it just seems to be consistently bad. Yes, most of the employees are very nice, but somehow I keep wishing that their kindness would morph into efficiency. One example is I approached an employee and asked if they had a key so I could get Flonase (of course in a locked box near the pharmacy) The woman kindly told me that I needed to go stand in the pharmacy line since the pharmacist had the key and zipped off through the employees only door. So sitting in the pharmacy line for 20 minutes, eavesdropping on people's conversations, and listening to a pharmacist talk slower and louder to a woman that only spoke mandarin, while there is a huge sign above her head (literally!) stating that every customer will be able to receive instructions on their medication in their native language, and the pharmacist is doing nothing but continuing to speak LOUDER and slower in English. I felt like I was in a bad Seinfeld episode. Now I have the privilege, as well as the other seven people in line, to find out exactly what type of ailments she had --and what medications she took. Thanks Mr. Pharmacist! I'm glad you took her privacy into consideration. So I'm finally at the front of the line, and you guessed it.... the pharmacy doesn't have a key to the cabinet and told me I needed to go to the FRONT of the store, wait in line again, and ask THEM for a key -- so I can escort them to the back of the store to retrieve my OTC nasal spray. I think the sheer look of exhaustion I had on my face made him go out of his way to get the key himself, which was nice. Or wait, why DOESN'T the pharmacy department have the key? That just might be efficient. I'm starting to feel like Walgreens really doesn't care, or read any of these reviews, or giveaway $3000 to some lucky winner who fills out the survey online by entering the code at the bottom of their receipt, I should be a millionaire at this point considering how many times I filled out those dumb surveys. Bullshit about 24/7. At this time is 2.42 am on May 14,2015 My mother went to ER for medication allergy at 1.15 to kaiser. The doctor then prescribed a drug but told us to get it at local Walgreen because kaiser pharmacy is not open. We walked in around 2.05 am so my mom can start taking it tonight. We told the pharmacist that we need this blah blah blah and she said we have to wait until 3.30 because she has to "fill" it even though there's that medication in stock. At first I understood that she was tired so she might be a little slow and exaggerate the waiting time and what not. So we wait because it's an emergency we're getting this thing. Then after we sat down, she started to put up all the closed signs and close all the window because she's leaving. And assumingly there would be another pharmacist who would ask us the same questions and filled the medication for another hour. Uhm. WTF. we literally told you that we came from the ER and the doctor told my mother to take this medication tonight. You need to learn your moral obligation if you're going to do this kind of job, whoever you are. I'm not mad at bad service if I get any at this hour. But for you to be so nonsense and unethical about your job; trust me your life is failing quickly. I don't know why I'm required to give a star. If you're gonna give a bad service at least makes it ethical~ you're failing too fast. read more

I have had bad experiences at Walgreens but never what I experienced today. I went in to pick up my medication and they didn't want to give me my Tylenol with codeine. I currently have pink eye and cellulitis in my eyelid. My eye is swollen shut and I have had 2 previous antibiotics that have not helped. Today I went into urgent care and the dr gave me 2 antibiotics (ointment and pills), drops for paid and SEVEN Tylenol codeine to help me sleep (those were his words) the pharmacist refused to fill my pain medicine because I just picked up Norco(15 pills) I explained to him that I had surgery on the 1st and am still recovering so if I have any discomfort during the day I can take one. Mind you I still have 13 of the 15 pills. I let him know that the norco keeps me awake and if I take those at night I will not sleep. He called me a liar and said that it's not true. He also told me that I was lying and that the doctor would never prescribe me the medication to "help me sleep" of course my dr was giving me the 7 pills to help ease the discomfort so that I could sleep and that's what I reiterated to this rude pharmacist. He treated me as if I was med seeking! That's BS. I understand that some people may do that but clearly I am standing in front of him with my eye swollen shut and if he looks at my records he would know that I am not a med seeker! My medications consist of thyroid medication and asthma and migraine medication! I will never go back there again! I will be following up with corporate! CVS... here I come read more

This is my go to Walgreens, it's my pharmacy, and pretty much my second home haha. Love Lisa, she's been there forever. She goes above and beyond, always making sure she successfully helps her customer. I don't enjoy the photo department, or the wait for the pharmacy.. drive thru included. So dreadful. But hey, we're all in this together... let's be nice to the employees, they can't help the wait most of the time. I don't have many complaints about this location, I always find what I need and I always spend like 20 dollars more than I should've. read more

this walgreens. it's the wooorrst. sorry. they never answer the phone, like never. and then sometimes they have the audacity to just pick up and hang up after you've been waiting for 20 plus minutes with supposedly only one caller ahead of you. it's like nobody told them part of their job is using a phone. also they are so unhelpful when you do talk to them. my medications are constantly out of stock and they act annoyed when you request an update or more info or ask them to help you get it from another walgreens (or anything!!). last time a rx was out of stock they said it "needed to be ordered" but this was four days after my doctor had sent it in, and it hadn't yet been ordered at all, and the pharmacist on the phone said she "didn't know why" nobody had ordered it. also, i asked, and she said maybe another pharmacy would have it in stock regularly. so i was like "so how do i find that out? i can't call around and ask pharmacies a question like that can i?" she said "no they probably wouldn't divulge that you're right." so i said "so can you guys find out if another walgreens might have my rx in stock more regularly?" she said yes but she "couldn't" because she was "busy." and no she didn't offer to do it later or anything like that. how on earth do you think a pharmacy would react to a customer calling and asking about their inventory? not great i would imagine. so many issues with this place seriously. i cannot stand this pharmacy but it's close to my house in our new neighborhood and open 24 hours and it's going to be a PITA to switch but i have to. it's so bad. read more

DO NOT BUY GIFTCARDS FROM HERE. THE EMPLOYEES WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY AND THEN QUIT. This review is on behalf of my company. I came here to purchase two giftcards from Macys for a colleague, as a baby shower present on behalf of the company. The total worth for both gift cards were $250. A week later, the colleague decided to go buy things from Macys, turns out.. the cards weren't even activated. We tried contacting Walgreens on multiple occasions to address our problems and NEVER had any resolution. Even after coming to the store for 4 times, and waiting for the Managers to contact the Corp, all they had to say to us is... "they'll look into it and email us back". Seriously??? First of all, thats $250 that you are jibbing from us. 2ndly, you make me waste nearly 5 hours of my life, to tell me that you can't do anything about it? I presented the receipts as well as the cards back to you. Whats worst is that the Corporate are even as incompetence to resolve ANY problems as well. Emailed and called over 100 times and yet, no responses back from them except for "we will look into it" and then get a "sorry, we cannot do anything about it" after 3 months later. This is a pharmacy review. Since I work in a pharmacy I know how things are suppose to move around back there. THIS PLACE SUCKS. Basically they are disorganzied and RUDE. I was NOT offered a consultation for new medication (that is a MUST by law)and was told it would be about 20 minutes once they recieved it around 11am. Came back at 1:30pm (thought I'd give them proper time to get it ready) still not ready, can't find it, "oh it's here...uhhh the doctor JUST called it in" (bs cause I verified with the nurse she called it in after I left my appt at 10:45am), and it's going to be FOURTY minutes. When it's pain medication and CLEARLY the patient has an injury I would get that rx out asap. Seeing as I gave them 2 and a half hours to get it ready... read more

Even-though the Pharmacy department didn't have a good reputation for excellent customer service, but the rest of the departments are much better when it comes with doing their job. Workers here always occupied and making sure every isle are being phased out. Never mind the fact that you are greeted as soon as you step inside the door. I like this place, and if you stay long enough to do your shopping, you can always save $ because of their savings discounts. May I mention, Gene and Cathy are the best! They're always there helping customers or either stocking up the isles. They have done so much for this company- they tried to give excellent services and the rest of the workers too. So Yelpers who come here over and over again and expect excellent service, well it's not always going to be perfect. We all know that we need this kind of place for our miscellaneous needs. Therefore, be patient and be kind to the people who work here. I have respect for all workers in retail, especially at this store, it's hard labor and less pay. Always open on holidays, maybe a recognition with rewards at least it will make employees eager to work at their late hours or even better how about some raise! :-) Thank you, guys! I live a few blocks from this Walgreens and really want to patronize it but I just can't anymore. I hate to give bad reviews but I've just had way too many bad experiences this time. I'll bullet point my reasons. 1. Always a 10-15 minute wait in line for the register. Always, no matter what time of the day or night. No exception tonight. 2. They are severely understaff 24/7, which I think is why the employees seem to be super rude at this Walgreens. Particularly this older Filipino lady who has at various times, walked away from the register in the middle of ringing me (or someone ahead of me in the line) up to go talk to someone and yelled over the top of me to someone elsewhere. But her badge says she's worked there for like 10 years. I don't understand how as she has no customer service skills. 3. The wait for the Pharmacy (to both drop off and pick up) is so incredibly long and I don't understand how because they multiple windows and a drive through pharmacy. Once I picked up a prescription to find out when I opened it at home that they had only given me a week's worth of the 30 day prescription and didn't bother to tell me. My last straw came tonight. I waited in line for at least 10 minutes (behind only 2 other customers btw), when a guy came up behind the girl in front of me right as she was finished with her transaction, asked for cigarettes and the cashier just grabbed them and started ringing him up like I wasn't even there. I said something and the guy just shrugged like it was no big deal and said he "didn't see me" and the cashier shrugged and kept ringing him up. Right now I have a big grey surgical boot on half my leg and a big black cane so though I'm short, I'm not easy to miss, and there was a line of people behind me that had also been waiting 10 (or more) minutes. I was tempted to leave my items and hobble out of the store, but I really needed one of the items (for my foot incidentally) so I had to purchase, but I will NOT be back. There is just no level of customer service here. I work retail, I know what it is like to be understaffed and overwhelmed and to have pushy customers who ignore everyone that isn't them, but I still politely tell people to get in line and to wait their turn. It is that simple and easy, especially when the next customer in like is clearly disabled (whether temporarily or permanently). Corporate needs to do something to make this store more effective and welcoming with staff and service. read more

If I can give a zero I would but, they don't have that option! If you see my ratings it is really hard for me to give a 1 star! But this is unacceptable now. I've been here now 3 times in month and every time they don't have certain medications. Ok, one time I was like, ok, I'll let it pass, but this is ridiculous! Went there at 5 am to fill a prescription. I'm suffering from the flu. I went thru the drive thru and it said come back in thirty mins. Ok, didn't say how long they were out prior. I thought this was 24 hours?! Sat and waited, then she finally comes to the window to say sorry I'm still on break. What do you want, I'm like to fill my prescription, she says for what? I said for the flu. She said, "we're out!" This place is never stocked, and it's flu season. Who isn't fully stocked for flu season?! So then she says we'll keep your prescription here for 2 days until we get it back in stock. Um the flu last for 3 days to sometimes a week. I need relief fast and anyone who is going through the flu has sympathy right now, she clearly did not! Sorry, I'm just flabbergasted that someone would then want to keep my prescription and tell me to wait, and maybe they'll have it in a few days?! Whats the point then?! Don't go here, save yourself the gas money and just save a trip of being told they don't have what you need there and go to the 24 hour CVs pharmacy down the street. They always have everything there, and they're very nice. I keep forgetting there is another 24, hour pharmacy. You don't need to put up with this, ridiculous! Well, lesson learned.... read more

There service down right sucks. My doctor sent in my prescription after waiting two hours called them. Took 30+ to talk to some one. Same say had to the urgent care and they also sent in my prescription. If had not stopped at the pharmacy they would not have started precessing it and still had over an hr wait. Their app shows "verifying prescription" for hours, instead of saying it's ready. 30 minutes on the phone finally got me to a pharmacist who said I could pick up any time. This has happened too many times. I used to be able to have a doctor send in a prescription and pick up the meds on the way home, but now it takes several hours and often a call or two. The line(s?) inside is/are ridiculous. There are 2 lines, but nothing says there are two lines. And some of the people working the counter are quite surly about this. One time, I was in the only line there, and a counter worker asked if anyone was dropping off prescriptions. I didn't know if my called in prescription had been received, so when no one responded, I went up to her and asked if I could find out if my prescription had been received. She loudly announced for everyone to hear "you can't just cut in line!" It is appalling that they would treat a customer this way. I have one prescription waiting there now, but after that, I won't be back. There are plenty of pharmacies who treat customers with respect out there. This is not one! read more

Customer service has really suffered here. Keeps getting worse and worse. One lady at the photo area, looked around 50, was screaming at customers, and she was an asst manager! Seems like some of the managers running the place are giving the hard working regular employees a bad name due to the managers own poor customer service. This Walgreen's location is terrible, and sadly I have no choice but to come here often enough. There is almost always a line and almost never a smile from the pharmacists or cashiers. Note the "almost" there, because the 2 stars I am giving this place are for the ONE friendly attendant in the pharmacy, and the ONE floor employee who offered me assistance because I was wandering around aimlessly while waiting on a prescription (for over an hour). Generally the front cashier by the door is pleasant, too. Other than the gross lack of customer service, the store is usually clean and orderly. The selection is very small amongst those things that offer many brands, and even the Walgreens brand stuff gets sold out quickly at times. There's never a shortage of snacks, so I guess that's a plus. Same goes for the cosmetics, but neither of these is why I even go there. If they were, I'd up the rating. Basically I go here for the pharmacy and other health-related items like cold meds, lozenges, band aids and the occasional toothbrush. Come to think of it, when I have no other errands and wait there for a prescription to be filled, I always grab a drink from the refrigerated section. They are upping their beverage sales with each increase in the waiting time or something. Lastly, regarding the pharmacy, not all the names make it onto the screen that is supposed to help keep people informed. Plus, when you tell me it will be an hour wait and 90 minutes later my name still isn't on the screen as filled or even complete, expect that I'm gonna find your lack of panache more irritating than usual, especially when I don't feel good and you're keeping me from being comforted by my meds. read more

So Yelp prompted a message excusing businesses' service due to COVID-19. I get it, I really do. But this is a time for businesses to rise to the occasion. Walgreens is not a mom and pop business and because of COVID-19 my complaint is all the more valid! I tired to call on a Friday to make an appointment for a flu shot and ask some questions. I was on hold for over 20 minutes and staff picked up the call FOUR times only to put me on hold again. So I went online and made the appointment for Sunday 7:20am. I got two text messages and an email saying to be 10 minutes early. I arrived early only to be told it was an hour and to sit INSIDE and wait until I was called. I don't know if you've been to the doctor, dentist, or eye doctor recently but you're not allowed to wait inside for obvious reasons. Staffing may be an issue but there's enough managers to figure out a pharmacy schedule. This store doesn't have great reviews and I realize most people only complain on Yelp. I am complaining in the hopes this store really thinks about how it can help it's customers. This pharmacy is understaffed and needs help. I don't blame the employee I blame management. A simple fix could be adjusting scheduling availability so customers have less time slots allowing pharmacist more time to service drive through and walk-ins more. You can't ask a customer to be early for a scheduled appointment and then make them wait for an hour! read more

The old lady at the beauty counter is very rude. Every time I have come in here she always looks at me like I'm going to steal something and never greets! Around 9:00am this morning I was shopping and didn't notice anyone at the beauty counter for me to pay. So I go to the front and notice THE SAME old women in black, didn't get her name literally PEEKING over the beauty section to make sure I was paying for my items. We made eye contact then she left... Like where were you a minute ago when I needed to check out? She was hiding and watching me throughout the store im sure! Lady, when I come in sweats and a hoody it doesn't mean I'm coming in to steal anything!!!! This place took over TWO MONTHS to develop my disposable camera pictures, and the worst part was they lied every time I called to get an update why they were taking so long. Seriously, every time I called I got a different story about why they were taking so long. (Also, why did I have to call to get updates? If you know something is going to take longer than you promised a customer - wouldn't you call and update the customer? Customer service 101 people!) When they finally came in, I told them I didn't feel that I should be charged for them because of the huge inconvenience they caused me and they said the best they could do was 50% off. They screwed up really bad and then didn't even try to fix it...I work in customer service and retail, and I KNOW they could have done better than that, they just didn't care. My advice to you is to go to another Walgreens, even if you have to drive a little farther. Missing out on their terrible service will be worth the drive. read more

These people are totally insufferable. The pharmacist had attitude before I even said a word, sighing and talking to me like I was such a burden. Then when I inquired about my prescription he acted like I was lying or something, and wouldn't help me. They gave me a runaround for a total of three hours trying to receive the prescription, and I never got it. Most of that time was spent sitting on hold. They love to do this thing where they pick-up the phone, you hear background noise, then they immediately throw you on hold again. Fun! They then asked for verification of the prescription, which I provided, and to call them back to discuss. Called back, sat on hold. Three people answered asking how they can help me. I finally said "Just waiting for the pharmacist." The person literally said "Oh my God, you too? Hold on." When the pharmacist finally got on the phone (different one) they were equally dismissive and after all that work on my end, they again refused to help me. After much frustration, I just hung up and called another pharmacy. That pharmacy had absolutely NO problem filling the script. So, it's not that Walgreens couldn't help me, it's just that they didn't want to. Don't waste your time with healthcare "professionals" that are insensitive, unwilling to help, and frankly, insulting. They should quit their job, they obviously hate it there. I work in healthcare and I believe my experience with them was very unethical. read more

I came here to pick-up some items which were advertised today. The flyer had a great buy on some stationary supplies. I did notice the store was not too crowded, clean and organized. Service was good when I asked for a location of an item. Location was excellent because it is located in the same mall with a Panera Bread, Chipotle, and Peet's Coffee. Parking is plentiful. The prices were not too good on items which were not on sale. However, the store is open 24 hours, which is convenient for the last-minute, must have items, and needed prescriptions. I've used Walgreens pharmacies my whole life. I'll give this one another shot, but I'm thus far not impressed with what I've seen. I got there, and there was already some dude yelling at multiple cashiers. I have no clue why. I've worked in retail before, though, so I figured it was just another case of "the customer is always ornery." He finally left, and then the woman behind him proceeded to also throw a fit. Apparently, they were refusing to give her name brand medication, which she didn't want ANYWAYS, and hadn't filled her prescription (but hadn't called to tell her that). Are you starting to see a theme here? So I get up to the counter and ask to pick up my prescription of birth control pills. The woman looks at my record in the system and says "Can you give us a few minutes?" I say "No, I was told it would be ready for pick-up yesterday." So she tells me to hold on and goes to talk to the pharmacist. She comes back after a few minutes. "Are you pregnant?" She asks me. Um, NO. I'm refilling BIRTH CONTROL. She tells me that the pharmacist had a note in my file saying I was pregnant, and that's why they didn't refill my prescription. Again, no phone call to ask if I was really preggers, or to let me know about the delay in my refill. They apologized and refilled the prescription on the spot, but the experience made me sufficiently nervous. We'll see what happens next time. read more

Waited in line for fifteen minutes just to be told they don't have my prescription in stock. I'm set up for text notifications yet no text or phone call from anyone to tell me they don't have my medication? Clerk tried to help but got an attitude with me when I misunderstood her and waited near the consult window. 'I said I'll call you to the front. Have a seat'. I wish that I could put 1/2 a star or 0 stars. This walgreens is the closest to my house, therefor I use it the most to get my prescriptions filled. However, lately they have been not putting in my prescriptions after my doctor calls them. I have to call up there and ask them to check their voicemail or email to see if they have it, so that they can put it into the computer. I usually have to wait about 5 hours after my doctor puts in the prescription to pick it up. This is terrible for their customers. I like to get all of my errands done at once and them being slow to get my prescription in makes it harder to do this. I hope that they consider restaff or looking at their email/voicemail more periodically. read more

I didn't face any trouble with service. But this walgreens compared to other walgreans branches and including their online store, is very overpriced. Don't get surprised when you see the product you bought for $10 in this branch, for $7-8 in the other store or online. The lady at checkout was just rude , and I get that she hates her job and all that- I can say she's not underpaid based on how she treated me- I'm amazed she holds a job there. My spouse and I've been going here for five years now and I can't stand it anymore. Every month we have issues getting all his scripts filled properly. My scripts tend to get lost somewhere when I reorder them online and they say they never receive it. They never have enough staff to work the stations in the pharmacy so the line inside and out are always long and s.l.o.w. unless you go at weird times. I know this is a corporate chain, but come on and take notes in my file; every time I come here I feel like they have zero idea that I've been a patron for five years. You'd think there'd be some kind of script or something that they read from to show some kind of politeness or caring. I've been on hold for twenty minutes with two people ahead of me...all this because they didn't receive my documented submission online. This review is for the pharmacy department only. Horrible service! Honestly, the manager needs to do something about it if s/he cares about the biz reputation. I called to confirm my prescription, it took me a good 45 min, and the person was very unfriendly. Today, I went to the drive thru. I was trying to explain that I received a phone call to pick up a prescription, but there are two names (different last names) under my cell phone, I was not sure which one to pick up. The guy kept cutting my sentence and keep saying 'Last name? Last name? Last name??' Really?? If you unable to face a customer professionally, i think it's better to put a robot or some automatic system than hire that guy. At least a robot will be much more efficient. read more
