She was very nice an apologize for the inconvenience and started to help me. She notice I was not even registered and took care of me. I told her as a manager you don't leave a customer to go to lunch or at least let the customer know and your staff to take over. Obviously lunch was more important than your customers. He also was on his air buds while on the floor. I also reached out to the district Manager and he has not returned my call. I took my SUV to Midas Bensalem for an engine replacement covered under my warranty. The shop…read moreinstalled a remanufactured ATK engine Despite multiple requests, they refused to provide any warranty documentation for the installation--even though I'm the registered owner and paid the deductible. Through independent research, I confirmed that the engine comes with a 3-year, unlimited mileage warranty through ATK Yet Midas denied knowledge of this warranty and flatly refused to provide documentation confirming it information I am legally entitled to under both Pennsylvania and federal law. The repair took over 5 weeks (June 2-July 12), an excessive and unexplained delay. Then, on July 20, I discovered major oversights: the ECU connectors were not locked into place, and the negative battery terminal was left loose. These aren't minor issues. The ECU (engine control unit) connectors have built-in locking mechanisms to ensure secure, uninterrupted communication between the engine and the vehicle's electrical system. If they come loose, it can cause misfires, no-start conditions, stalling, or even permanent damage. Likewise, a loose battery terminal can cause intermittent electrical failure, data loss, or leave you stranded. Both are basic but critical checks that should never be missed in any engine installation. Given the lack of transparency, the excessive delay, and the refusal to provide legally required warranty documentation, I intend to pursue this matter in small claims court in the coming weeks!! I'm also considering going to local media. This experience reflects a troubling lack of accountability and professionalism. About an hour later we get a call saying that they couldn't do the alignment we had asked for because the tie rod bar was too long and he didn't have enough clearance. My partner told them that there were two lock nuts on either side which would give him the clearance he needed. He also gave them permission to remove them. Around 450pm that day, we get a call back saying the same thing: that the tie rod bar was too long and kept trying to say that we didn't get the right tie rod bar/that it was inappropriately marketed for our vehicle. We bought the parts from a reputable company that mass produces these parts. We double and triple checked things before bringing it in to the alignment. They put it up on the lift and took it right back down before calling us. They didn't seem keen on doing the alignment at all, so why did they hold onto it all day just to tell us 30min before closing that they couldn't do it-when they knew there was the ability to give the car the clearance it needed. The only other positive thing I can say is that they saved us money by fixing a few things ourselves in the days after and going through a different company for the alignment.

I inspected some parts of the transmission to determine they did nothing to open it up or diagnose the problem, other than scanning trouble codes. In search of a second opinion, I called Cottman and the service manager Scott happily spent 20 minutes on the phone with me asking questions to give me a more accurate picture of what the problem might be, and what the costs could be. A few weeks later I visited the shop on my way home from work (20 minutes before they closed) and Scott took the time to take a 30-minute test drive, plug in the diagnostic, and troubleshoot the matter. He said that there was a much smaller issue related to the transmission fluid temperature and said he could get the work done in under a day. I arranged for an appointment a few days later. Scott and Beth were happy to arrange drop-off/pick-up service to my office a few miles away. I couldn't be happier with their honesty, efficiency, and experience. In this day and age, even though I'm mechanically inclined, it's tough to find a skilled mechanic you can trust. I will confidently refer my friends, family, and professional contacts to Cottman knowing they will be in good hands with Beth and Scott at the helm.
