They told me that I needed new rear brake pads and rotors totaling $550 but they'd give me $50 off. I was pressured to do the job immediately and that I only had 2mm on my pads and my rotors were so bad that they could not be resurfaced. They lied!!!! I had my friends husband confirm the estimate and he said NO! They are taking advantage of you. An $80 set of brake pads and 37 minutes later, I got new rear brakes AND there was NOTHING wrong with the rotors. Shame on you!!!

Darrell, another friendly technician, checked me in and offered me a refreshing beverage while I waited. The waiting room and the entire shop were spotless and well-organized. After about an hour, I was back on the road with a fresh alignment and a renewed sense of confidence in my car and tires. I needed new shocks, struts, brake pads and rotors. I was there for 10 hours (open to close) with no communication about what was happening with my vehicle. They removed my axle without informing me and without getting permission first. My wipers were messed up and my Spikes-Spider hubs were missing. They told me that I would have to leave it overnight, but I had another appointment in the morning. I emailed the manager that day to relay my concerns. I dropped it back off after the appointment the next day. It sounded horrible. On Saturday they called to tell me it was done. When I went in the wipers were still messed up and the hub covers were still missing. I waited 2 more hours only to find out that a part needed to be ordered. I left the van and asked them to call me when it was done. On Tuesday they called to tell me it was finished. I asked if the windshield wipers were fixed and was told yes. I asked about the hub covers and was told they would have to get back to me. I updated my email to the manager that day, still having received no reply. On Day 7 of this fiasco I arrived at 7:30 and picked up my van. I finally received a response from the manager later that morning. They are ordering new hub covers for me. Today (Friday 9/4) I'm at my mechanic getting it checked out as the rattle is still horrible. Here are the things that were damaged or missing after Big O's service: sway bar link is loose Strut on driver side is installed incorrectly Lug nut stripped in passenger side. Wheel is hard to remove. Passenger side hub and ball joint show heavy hammer marks. Passenger cv oil seal is leaking. Rear brake spring silencers are missing Steering rack bushing are worn internally. Wheel stud and hub damaged Hub covers missing I'm having items critical for safety repaired immediately. The incompetence and lack of communication at this Big O location are astounding!

They routinely over-deliver on service. To the point where I've almost come to take it for granted. I've lost count of the number of times I've been here now. We have two cars, plus a horse trailer. Today I needed to rotate my truck tires and put new wheels and tires on the trailer. Work was done quickly, the guys doing the work kept me updated on everything, and not only were the TPMS sensors all sorted out, they were re-initialized so when I left everything worked perfectly. Yeah, that should be routine, but I can tell you it is not. I drive past another Discount Tire location, plus numerous other tire dealers just to visit this one. Because they've demonstrated time and again that they're worth it.

They quickly add people to the waiting list instead of them standing in line. I got here at 8:50 am let's see how this goes. As of 9:50 am still waiting to be moved to a bay. 9:58 am started working on it 10:20 am its ready patched and about to get back on the road. For those that don't know Discount Tire is also Americas Tires in California. I've had a few bad experiences with Americas Tire in California Watching the full workings of the lobby and a bit of the bay I'm thinking this is a great location. Great job guys. While I was looking for a dropbox, Gabriel noticed I was outside and unlocked the door for me and took my car keys and details to get work done the next morning. He then went above and beyond and stayed late to fix it right then and there after realizing the air system was still on. We were out of there by 7:15!! Later that night as I was leaving my last stop before heading home I had my window down and heard a noise from underneath my vehicle. Turns out they improperly installed the access panel and it had been scrapping against the street all day to the point that it's no longer able to stay on. I called the store right away and left a message on their voicemail. Never heard back from anyone so I decided to go back to the store a couple days after my initial call. Spoke to 2 people who took my information and had me drive up so they could take a photo of the damaged access panel. They told me their manager would give me a call. No one called me after a week. So o called and was finally able to catch the manager there after several attempts. This apparently was the first time he's heard of my situation. Once again took my information and asked if I could send him a photo. I told him that an employee there had already taken a photo and that if he couldn't find out who it was that, I would gladly come back so they could take another photo. That was a week ago and I've never heard back from anyone once again. Today I called asked and asked if the manager was there and if I could speak to them. I was in placed on hold for over 10 minutes and finally decided to hang up and make another visit to the store. Show up and magically the manager had already taken off for the day. It's now almost been a month since my initial visit to get my oil change and I am not anywhere closer to getting my access panel replaced. They keep promising me that I will hear back from them, but I never get any answers I'm absolutely tired of dealing with them giving me the runaround.

I've been here several times now for various things, and each time, they explain very clearly what's going on, provide recommendations without pushing for something that may be unnecessary, and I feel like this is a honest mechanic shop. I feel like the pricing is fair, and I appreciate that they are open on Saturdays as well. If you're looking for a shop that won't put heavy pressure on you for stuff that you don't need, and somewhere that will educate you when you have questions so that you get the right service for your vehicle, I highly recommend this shop.

Phone etiquette was fine. But the top notch is we didn't have to ask the staff to MAKE SURE (you know how that is); they asked the attendant specifically and had them expecting us. He knew we were in a hurry. Though he was also training someone, he was quick and did what he could to make the paperwork happen as fast as possible. Very considerate and polite. Also, a little humor from staff was the extra star (this is for the guy who did all the actual work).
