The 1-hr photo service really should be "Whenever the mood strikes us and the machine works-photo service" But it's more than the machine broke, it is the horrible customer service that attempts to make the customer feel like they've done something wrong for questioning them as to when these photos will be completed considering the assumption was same day or 1-hr. Disappointed to write this, but I think this situation could have been handled better. But frankly, no one really cares at the photo counter or at WalMart, period. So while I continue to wait for photos to be completed that I have paid for, I am now going to CVS to produce the photo prints that I need - and thought I would have this morning. CVS or somewhere else will be my new place to get my prints made - I AM DONE WITH WALMART. you are not the only show in town as you'd want us all to believe and you may be the cheapest, but the frustration ain't worth it. I'll pay more somewhere else to get quality service and quality products. AND the sad thing, this review won't be read by the folks at WalMart and if it were, it means nothing. read more

Not too much to say here. It's Wal-Mart, seems to be an okay area and there are a lot of other shops and stores nearby. The one employee I asked a question on where something was, she was helpful. Disposable razors are locked in display case, $.97 price tag and when I asked for them, was advised would have to go to a specific register when checking out. The representative would not explain why and directed me to the manager. Why??? This is by far the worst Wal Mart in the entire San Diego area. The parking lot is full of shopping carts, it always takes me about 10 minutes to find a spot. You walk in pretty much every section is out of order. The clothing section has shirts and pants littered all over the ground and none of the hangers are in order. This place is clean but very small and full of rude workers. We were waiting to check out and we stood waiting for a few minutes even though there weren't any other customers. The girl's name started with an A. She was too busy talking to the other rude workers. On top of all that, they were all speaking in Spanish. I know it's close to Mexico, but still this is America. If you work anywhere here in America and especially at a place like Wal-Mart, you shouldn't speak anything besides English in front of customers. The whole environment of this place I didn't like. This Walmart always has long lines at the registers, never has what I'm looking for and I end up having to drive to another Walmart. Certain cashiers are rude. I recently bought a shirt, did not fit...went back to return it or exchange size and they said no returns due to covid. So by the time they start taking returns I expect a full refund, I'll be sure to hold on to my receipt. I understand there is a pandemic going on. However I work in retail selling clothes, we accept returns...we quarantine the clothes and steam it and it's not allowed to go back to the floor for a certain amount of days. Not only where I work but many other clothing stores I've shopped at do accept returns and also quarantine the items. They are a big company with enough people just standing around doing nothing....they can definitely take returns. If covid is a huge problem to them for not taking returns then they should also have disinfecting wipes and hand sanitizer for customers at the entrance. I've been to many stores and they all have that available for customers, except this one. read more

The customer service at this Walmart is excellent! Also, if you are ever buying a cell phone buy the protection plan through Walmart. If anything happens to your phone Walmart reimburses you or they fix it for you. It covers water damage, cracked screens, just about everything except being stolen. read more

This place is super tiny. They should just call this walmart mini. This place used to be the old Mervyns. Memories.....Okay back to review. This place is tiny. The store hours are weak. They close at 10pm. Are you kidding me? That is not typical walmart closing hours, but it is for this one! Last Friday night before work I wanted to stop at the new Walmart and buy an iphone/ipod dock connector so I can charge my phone in my ride so I can have full battery when i hop out the door. You know what I mean Jelly bean? Anyways I walk to the front of the store at 10:05pm and this big bouncer looking guy with a mini fro stares me down and says loudly, WE'RE CLOSED!!! He had a bar/club bouncer look to him because he was a big guy, and he talked very rudely to me. He could have said, excuse me Sir, we're closed right now, sorry our store closes at 10, you can try the other walmart on Dennery Rd, but NOOOOOOOoOOoOO!!!! He had to be Mr. Tough Guy Rude Boy!! I wasn't mad that the store hours are wack, I was mad that Walmart never taught this employee the meaning of respect. That guy needs to go to customer service school. This walmart sucks. Well folks, I'm kind of torn on this one. I am quite happy, on one hand, that we have a Walmart in our neighborhood now, and that's probably worth 3 stars alone. It beats fighting half of Tijuana at the Palomar store for a parking spot and the last bag of chips, I suppose. However, there are some real drawbacks here. First, the staffing model here needs some serious work; who in the hell is the manager and district manager for this abomination of a retail outlet? During peak times, it is literally check yourself our or wait for the borderline suicidal girl with the eyepatch and wooden leg at the ONE open register, processing, oh, about ONE freaking customer per hour. And I kid you not, non peak times? Four open registers and a three-piece marimba band. C'MON, man! Selection is not great here; it's just too small for a super WMart concept, but still OK. This is by far, the absolute WORST Walmart I have ever been to in my entire life. The customer service employees who answer the phone are barely understandable because their english is HORRID. I have seen aisles in the store completely mis-labeled. Not just certain items in the aisle, THE ENTIRE THING where as the actual items are located on the other end of the store. I purchased a brand new iphone about 2 weeks ago at this location. After asking for assistance, I stood at the counter for 25 minutes waiting for someone to assist me. When he finally showed up, he had a candy bar in one hand, and a soda in the other. He was stuffing his face the entire time I was trying to ask questions about the different models. It was disgusting and extremely upsetting. Now, 2 weeks later the phone I purchased is not functioning as it should. I attempted to call the store to speak to someone in the cellular department. I had to call 2-3 times because when I would get transfered I would sit on a silent line for 5-10 minutes before I would get fed up and call back in. A couple of times someone would answer the line, then immediately hang up the phone. After I had called in 6-7 times, they started transferring me to the electronics department. The same thing happened again 2-3 times before someone answered. BUT, she was absolutely clueless about their cell phones. So after promising she would get someone on the phone to help me, I just got transfered back to the main line. At this point, a dozen or so phone calls later, I just asked to speak to a/the store manager. LO AND BEHOLD THEY COULDN'T EVEN GET THAT RIGHT. I honestly cant be for sure if the women answering the main line really even understood english much at all. Again I continued to get cycled through their dialer system to random employees who were neither a manager or anyone who had any clue about the stores cell phones & department. I honestly do not even know how this place runs, it is pathetic. Whoever is in charge of keeping this place running should be terminated. read more

If you want to be treated like garbage, go see Julieta at the customer service desk. I explained that the L.O.L dolls I was returning were purchased at a few different times and that I did not bring receipts because I preferred a gift card for the amount instead (they tend to refund cash if the purchase was made with a debit card). Wal-Mart online had exactly what my daughter requested. Juliet proceeded to ask me for receipts with the implication that I may have stolen the dolls. She then exchanges words in Spanish with another employee behind the counter, which I find extremely rude when the person you are attending to is not a Spanish speaker. After their short chat, Julieta says "I have to give you gift card." Well, hot damn! That's what I wanted to begin with! Why did we just go through all of that trouble? After processing my gift card, she shoves it at me and points to the slip that she taped to it saying, " That's what's on the card". Worst store I have ever been to. I did a ship to store for a cyber Monday sale tv. Once I got there I witnesses an employee knock over a tv by the photo area and had to go back to the front to get my tv which was broke on the left side the screen was just cracked from top to bottom probably got kicked... So I decided to return it for another once I got to returns the woman asked for my credit card and swiped it. Then she said she returned my money and I had to buy another tv. It's a Walmart closer to home. That's what everyone wants right. Something closer to home where you don't waist too much gas to get there or even be able to walk there. After reading many reviews about this Walmart, I come to believe many people are bitter and not because of the Walmart, no. Maybe you have high standards and want this place to be better than the other Walmarts. But guess what, its a Walmart! No matter if its big or small, people are going to shop there. Plain and simple. Walmart equals people shopping there for something. This Walmart is not big but it has what you need for a quick fix. Next time you go to this walmart, think about what you are there for. If you are looking for a plant or tree, then its your fault because we all know they don't have it there. All in all, I found this Walmart okay for what I needed. Could be a little more cleaner. Its the day before thanksgiving and for my girfriends holiday bonus she received 2 butterball turkey checks to help pay for her holiday dinner. After picking out our items we went to pay and were instead sent to speak with a manager. Selina was her name and she said that she had never seen these checks before and instead of taking the time to look at the checks and read them properly she decided it wasn't worth her time and refused to take them. I then took it upon myself to speak to a much more respectful manager who then cleared the checks. Unacceptable. Selina is by far the worst customer service rep I have ever encountered. I myself have worked in customer service for 6 years and cannot understand how this employee ever got this position. she was very rude to not only me but to her own employees. Her attitude was very offensive. She appeared upset at all times and never once smiled or thanked us for our business. Our thanksgiving shopping experience was made very difficult by selina even after the checks were cleared. I am not only unhappy with selina but also with wal mart.
