I get that there are thieves at stores but when you lock up hair removal cream you take it to a whole other level. You have to wait at least 10 minutes and pushing a red button to try to get some assistance I had employees walk right past me like it's not their problem. I've already had issues with Walmart but this is just another one that adds on to my list. If people stealing is such an issue then you need to have your lazy ass employee stand on each side and watch people get their items then. Walmart -you have camera everywhere in your store and the $1 bottles of shaving cream are locked up. You have camera at self check out. You have employee's watching customer's closely at self check-out. I am not at sam's club or costco. I have my receipt in hand, and I am NOT required by law or the club store membership to stop and be inspected upon leaving the store. Last time I did not stop to make sure I am not stealing I had a sick kid waiting on me in the car. I will not ever stop to be inspected at any Walmart. that is my right. I also don't need your door employee following me, or yelling at me that I am stealing and causing a scene. Btw the police were right outside the door. This employee has yelled at me and accused me of stealing 3 times now. It's rude and unprofessional and undeserved. I do not yell and scream and tell your employees how rude they are. So Idk why that's permitted in your store. It was harassment last time and scared my kids. Next time it happens you will be hearing from me formally as I will file a complaint. Customer Service in America is dead. My trip to Walmart this morning proves it. I spent 30 minutes in the Paint Department, desperately trying to find someone to unlock the spray paint. I pressed the red Assistance Needed button six times. No one came. My new directive is to go by the Paint Department on each subsequent future visit to Walmart, just to press the Assistance Needed button, just for the hell of it. So Wal-Mart has the nerve to change their return policy. As I'm returning my item, I cringe as I listen to the sarcasm coming from the mouth of the assistant store manager Anthony as he tells a customer about the new return policy. Clearly the signs are still reading 90 days with or without a receipt but he lightly tosses a mat at her with super fine print with it stating they have the discretion to return or not. Well when the customer makes a purchase this tiny dirty mat is not at the register when they take our money. Sorry Wal-Mart but you will lose a ton of customers with this no receipt policy. I do love this place however, they don't seem to want to open check out lines. I truly think they want everyone to use self checkout lines. It's a big company so I believe all they want is profits. Came to Walmart today to buy a couple of things. Cashier who attended us was being very petty to the people in front of us and to us. Carol or Connie seemed really skeptical on these two men in front of us and triple checked their money just to make sure it was "real". She was very rude to them and it made me uncomfortable to see these two men go through this. I could tell that the two men were uncomfortable and pretty mad to be accused of counterfeit money. I'm not sure if Walmart has a problem with this situation but I don't think she needed to check the money three times to make sure it was real. She didn't even try to check with the money scanner she just assumed it was fake. Something made it seem that she was racially profiling these two men and as someone who experiences this, it's not okay to do this! I did purchase mini wine bottles in my purchase and she tried to card my boyfriend too despite I was the one paying for it. Seriously? We are both of age and it was ridiculous. If Walmart is trying to "prevent" selling to minors then maybe they should just stop selling alcohol in the first place if the problem is this big. Either train your associates right or embarrass yourself as a company to things like this. read more

It was a horrible experience for me yesterday in this store! The staff were probably trained to be heartless people! I accidentally hit my head to the rack and fell. I had bruise and head swollen. It's face and ear contusion. The rack was grey color and similar color like the floor. The racks were close to each other and very unnoticeable, I made a claim already when I was in the store. The staff were not helpful. I got hurt and yet said to me that the bruise looks like old one, It was so intimidating and I was totally shocked! I was a bit dizzy and asked if they can call 911 or ambulance for me but they refused! Being a successful hyperstore like Walmart yet being so not caring of the customer I was very socked and upset! So I called my family and they came and called 911 for me, the fireman came and asked if I need an ambulance but I was able to walk therefore I chose to go with my brother to my Kaiser Emergency. I had scan and exam and so far only face and ear contusion. But here I want to warn people who goes to Walmart that be careful not only the danger of any unexpected hazard but also be careful that if some accidents happened to you, you should seek the help from your family or friend because the staff were probably trained to intimidate you in order not take any liability! We being customers of this multibillion store yet they are heartless to the customers. read more

they basically insinuated that i stole my printer because i didnt have a receipt. i spoke to 3 different managers, each one telling me they dont take any items without a receipt which goes against walmart's overall return policy. they informed me they follow paragraph 3 of their return policy which states that they can basically decline whatever they want in terms of returns, with receipt or not. so i am not sure what you do if you want to return something and this walmart says "nahhh" and they just use paragraph 3 on their policy. be really careful at this location because while i waited in line for them to print out the new return policy, 4 other people were turned down for returns. this is very shady and highly goes against their overall image. i spoke to mora (customer service mgr) and ciara (customer service mgr.) and then joe (assistant mgr) who basically implied that this printer could be purchased anywhere and i could have brought it here and am trying to steal from this location. he then pointed at the upc, saying thats just a sticker all units have. of course he didnt look at the large walmart exlusive sticker on the other side. overall it took me over 40 minutes to get nothing. they went into the back room to print me a copy of their stores unique return policy set forth by their store manager michelle, yet the system was down. it only took them 15 minutes to tell me that as they goofed off in the back room. horrible customer service...very shady return policy, and overall just makes walmart look worse. welp ill call corporate because that should not be allowed at all. read more

I can't believe I'm going out of my way to write this, but I used to work at this Walmart for about 6 months. Alright it is pretty horrible service and sometimes the employees are rude. Honestly working here showed me why Walmart has such a bad rep. The store manager which is at the top, puts so much pressure on the shift managers, the shift managers puts pressure on the CSM managers, and the CSM managers put pressure on the employees. So basically it's a ton of pressure on the everybody to get 5 jobs done at once. When I was hired I started off as a sales associate in the toy department. Picture a tornado hitting the toy department three to four employees having to clean and organize everything and having to run down to customer service hauling 5 or 6 carts full of go backs and having to organize those stupid go backs back onto the shelves and having to hold down customer service and checking the back to see if we have what you people want all the same time. That's not even half of it. Yeah I know you're probably thinking, "well that's your job!" And of course you're right! That is our job but dammit people it's not easy. As easy as you may think it is working at Walmart it's absolutely not. After working in the toy department I was moved to the parking lot as a stock man aka cart pusher. Which was even more difficult. This is how a typical night went down as a cart pusher: CARTS EVERYWHERE. Two people to clean the entire parking lot. Every single night I was told that it has to be done before midnight. I was usually left alone outside to do it myself. Because eventually the other cart pusher quit or wouldn't show up. Even with that cart pushing machine it was not possible. But fuck I managed to get most of it done. If it was a good night the over night workers would come out and take some carts inside. I would bust my ass from 4 to midnight pushing carts trying to get it done or else I would get in trouble for it. What's the point of this? Give the employees a break man. Shoot them a smile, a thank you, or have a nice day. It goes a long way. Even for those rude employees. I was never rude to any customer for any reason, but I could see why any employee, CSM manager, or shift manager would be having a bad day working at Walmart. Thank you. read more

Be aware the price marked is not what you will pay. I came here picked up a few items and when I checked my receipt the item I purchased was not the amount the tag and signage indicated. When I went to customer service the manager told me they cannot give me the price shown only 10% can be taken off. I have never come to a Walmart store where this happened before. Needless to say I left the item but someone has to a better in pricing and signage issues. The customer service was not up to par in dealing with my issue. read more

I went into 3943 grand ave chino ca 91710 store on 10/29/14 at approximately 11pm to purchase a total of 5 items with totaled 5.49$. I waited approximately 45min to purchase these items. The customer service and help was horrible!!!!! when i finally reached the front of the line;the lady in front of me had an old 100$ bill. It took the cashier about 15minutes to retrieve a "manager" who then declined the bill; even though it was clearly real; after waiting the bill check and the lady finally paying i was the next person up finally; but of course they then proceeded to do a cash pull after we had all been waiting for about 20 minutes.(The line was literally 20 people long) the Manger paul i spoke to was horrible. Didnt care to apologize. He literally walked away. the WORST PART: when i finally did purchase my items i did not receive my 0.88$ cent bottle of peroxide! i tried calling at 1am and of course no answer; i called the next day; got transferred 6 times and finally reached a lady by the name of Deborah that stated i must drive the 20minutes it would take me to get there to either retrieve or get a refund for the bottle!! Next time, I'm sticking to TARGET! at least they're helpful! read more

Horrible Customer service! I bought items online and used the Site to Store pickup. The Associates at Walmart NEVER had my items ready, even though I had emails from Walmart stating that my items are ready for pick-up! I spend over 2 hours while they located my items. They first used the excuse we don't have them! Then, they started passing the job around to practically every assocate in the store. No one was willing to help! We will never use this store again! I like the store and the selection - but I HATE the lack of cashiers. No matter what time of day I go there... 30 of the 35 cash registers are closed and the 'self-service' checkout lanes are NEVER open! Also - their employees who smoke tend to take their smoke breaks right out front of the store and not in the employee smoking area. Ive complained to the store manager about this because it looks like no one in the store is working - because they are all out smoking! Also the parking lot is like a NASCAR raceway! I came to this Walmart because it is down the street from the gym I was at. Literally spent 35min grabbing/selecting a wine, a ballon and a card since I was putting together little encouragement gift for a friend. I had my friend with me that carpooled to the gym. When I get to check out I couldn't purchase the wine because my friend didn't have her ID. I had mine since I was purchasing it but she had absolutely nothing on her. Waste of time if I knew that was the case I would of gone elsewhere to get everything together. Btw she was clearly above 21. Honestly have a sign or something up instead of wasting customers time. Well last Saturday the day after Christmas I went here to do some shopping,Dad got a pedicure,etc... I had a coupon for $15.00 off any whole turkey. I didn't want the turkeys to be gone off shelf since the holidays were over, so I snagged one. I generally go through the self-checkout, it's easier and quicker. So when I scanned my coupon gave me $1.13 off, so I asked the clerk and she tried her magic and still same result. She hailed the front Manager at this time, which even she couldn't believe it took at least 15 to 20 minutes to come over. I got the feeling the clerk was embarrassed, on the length of time it took this Manager to come help, I told the clerk my Dad was getting a pedicure,not to worry. Well when the Manager finally showed up, she processed the coupon and had the same result. So then the Manager took the coupon and read it to me and said ""SEE IT SAYS VALUED AT UP TO $15.00 OFF""" then said guess it's only worth $1.13... I said " NO ANYTHING OVER $15.00 i PAY THE DIFFERENCE " . She said she had no control over the amount, I said well there is an 800 number why don't you call, she said they don't do that. Well I said okay I will use it somewhere else. Bought the rest of my groceries and took them out to the car. Since Dad was still getting his pedicure I called the 800 number and they said no WALMART is one of the biggest retailers that accept the coupon. Well I TOLD THE CLERK AND SHE CALLED UP THE CUSTOMER SERVICE MANAGER--he tried and again had same result. I told him that 'REALLY THIS IS RIDICULOUS' he spotted the STORE MANAGER at that time, flagged him down,and after their pow wow, said THEY COULD DO NOTHING ABOUT IT. Keep in mind I have worked retail for most my life, and knew they could. So when I got home I called WALMARTS CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMANT CORPORATE, he apologized and said that they will honor the coupon, and the STORE MANAGER OF CHINO HILLS, will be contacting me. Meanwhile I went to STATER BROS later that afternoon and they processed the coupon NO PROBLEM. Well I got a call this morning from Sharon the STORE MANAGER, she left me a voice mail. I called her back--she address me as MARCO AND I ADDRESS HER AS CHERYL. Oh well that got screwed up. Anyway she apologized and said she would be willing to help out and honor the coupon. Well I said THANKYOU,and even though I live in ONTARIO,I DRIVE ALL THE WAY DOWN TO CHINO HILLS BECAUSE I LIKE THAT STORE. I also told her that STATER BROS HONORED THE COUPON FOR ME. She more or less said OKAY-IF you have any problems in the future to call her and she'll take care of it. =\ Well what happened to offering an INCENTIVE in order to insure your customer will be happy and continue to do business with the LARGEST RETAILER IN THE COUNTRY!!! i've been to practically every wal-mart w/in a 30 mile radius of me (hunting down wedding decorations for my sis)...and this is the one i most often shop at. usually end up walking/shopping around here late at night to avoid the crowds. it's def the cleanest of the local 24-hr ones and it has tons of parking (w/ wide spaces). the staff at night are friendly if you can find'em but the cashiers are few 'n far between...so expect to wait in line a while. read more

OMFG I've been going here for almost 2 years and this Walmart is the absolute worst of any that I have ever been to! The late night staff is so incredibly rude and lazy it boggles my mind (minus a few ladies at the front registers and one that stocks in the beauty department.) One lady that stocks the arts and crafts department is incredibly rude as well. Even the night manager took over a half hour to get keys to unlock a cabinet so I could buy sand paper and I overheard her talking s*** with another employee a few minutes later about Walmart customers. If I could give this company and its store location negative or zero stars boy oh boy I WOULD!!!! This has to be the worst Walmart I've ever been to. Out of honesty, there all horrible, Its to the fact I only go to Target or Costco to get everything that I need. Never order online and do a pick-up at store at this location. My father bought me a bbq grill as a memorial day gift, and was told to pick it up the following morning. When we arrived we had a team member say that they recently sold their last one and were not going to be able to get us the grill. Asked the manager for a immediate refund and of course he said its gonna take a few business days. Asked the manager if I could go to a store nearby to get one and he said there aren't any. Called the store in Corona and they said they had 9, but of course we would have to pay out of pocket all over again because we wouldn't be refunded our money for a few days. First and last time to shop at that location. When in to get Deli at 655pm took me about 5mins to get some help. All the ladies were too busy talking in the bakery department/area. Then I finally got someone to help me (Darleean) told me they are closed at 701pm WTH! Never have I ever heard of a big store closing the deli department that early. Lights are still on. So I walked to the area where they sell hot food. The lady Arlene helped me out which was great. At check out I asked for a manager. Got a younger girl which I don't think she was a manager. She didn't seem to care and seemed bothered by me saying something. Which I told her I had a compliment and a complaint. Not the best customer service all around. read more
