In the past he has refused to frequent Walmart due to "poor service". Tonight we went into your store #3516. The young lady at the speedy check out register ignored the customer in front of us and then us because her fellow cashier who was not busy was telling her a story about some car accident and insurance coverage. There was a sign to call the store manager if we were not happy with our customer service. I called when I got out to my car. The first call was not answered for several rings. The second call was answered and the lady asked me if I was calling in sick to work after I asked for a store manager. After waiting 4 minutes - I was counting because I was going to disconnect after 5- Michelle the assistant store manager answered. I told Michelle the story I'm sharing with you now. She asked who it was, I said it was the young lady working at the only speedy check out open right now. She said "Ok, I'm glad you called. That's why we have the sign up, so you can tell us about this." She ended the call after that thanking me. Not once did she even acknowledge my complaint. She sounded disinterested and rushed. We consider ourselves low maintenance customers. We expect to be acknowledged with maybe a "hello" or even just a smile. The service, or lack thereof, has re-cemented our belief that Walmart doesn't care about customers. Your frontline service is a reflection of your company's attitude towards customers. We will not revisit Walmart. We will share this story with anyone who will listen in hopes to direct good paying consumers to establishments that at least pretend to believe in good service. read more

On top of the savings that Wal-Mart brings... I have discovered the ibotta app that saves me even more money while I shop. I like this Walmart better than the other ones in Chula Vista. Not as crowded and well stocked. This location is currently under construction and will become a Super Walmart in the near future and will sell groceries among other things. I welcome the fact that I will buy my food at lower prices. I hate to pay the higher prices at Ralph's and Vons. Guess some competition is welcome :) I was in Arizona recently and purchased some groceries at the local Super Walmart. Couldn't believe the size of the store. It's always crowded here. Always. It's inexpensive to shop here though which is the reason for the constantly going back. It also has every need you have to manage life in the building. Walmart Supercenter - Low price - Department Stores Near Me - Chula Vista, California

This is my local Walmart. I love it. However, I feel obligated to warn people that their self check out machines are compromised. My husband used his credit Union credit card in self check out to buy school supplies last week, and the info was harvested to make fraudulent transactions in other stored before his credit Union shutdown card. Credit Union reports 3 other customers reported same thing after Walmart self check. Yesterday I went through the Walmart self checkout using my Walmart microchip credit card. Last night someone attempted to change my password on my Walmart credit card account. I have notified the store but they don't seem to understand that their self checkout is compromised. My FAVORITE part about THIS Walmart....it's OPEN 24 hours!!! and the fact that it's close by. ha! Since I moved down south of San Diego, this Walmart is not too far away from me, and I love how it's super huge and lots of walking space in the aisles! Super clean, and organized. Minus one star because some of the employees that work there though, UGH! Some don't know how to speak english, ENGLISH. Others don't even know what Hydrogen Peroxide is. I even had to enunciate each syllable so that she can understand what I was saying. I don't want to be rude but it's just annoying when you really need something and a few of their employees lack the English Language. Bad call walmart, bad call. I'm happy that THIS Walmart is always in stock of some of the items I need, (keyword: some) for example, I'm happy they always have stock of my favorite Herbal Essence Conditioner! yay! At night though, and I mean like the MIDDLE of the night like 3am, I thought I really would be the only one shopping on a weekday at this late at night..but uhmm Apparently I'm wrong, there's a lot! and only ONE register open...ONE! and right when they open a new register the line is already short! boo! Also, They don't have a FABRIC section! maaaan, So I had to drive to a really ghetto walmart on Broadway, YUCK! I hate that walmart it's dirty! and the people there are...the smell is ...you get the idea of that one. bleh! I really wish they had a Fabric section, that way I don't have to drive so far, but this walmart has a good grocery section and I love that the Yoplait is $0.58! yay! Other than that, I wish they kept BOTH sides of the doors open but they always close the Home & Pharmacy side of the store after 10 or 11p. I can't believe I'm reviewing WalMart. Like all WalMart's I've ever been to in my life, this one has an extremely crowded parking lot, you have to park a mile away or wait an hour for a spot. This store was recently converted from a regular old WalMart to a Super WalMart, meaning even more crowded and more headaches trying to park. So, you're probably asking yourselves at this point, why is she giving it three stars if it such a headache? I'll tell you why.... THEY CARRY ORGANIC PRODUCE!!!!!!!!!!! I know, probably not a big deal to 90% of the world, but to me it is HUGE. One other redeeming factor is that they have a ton of check out lanes, so even though the parking lot is a nightmare, the check out process is usually nice and speedy. read more

My family and I are regulars here. We basically come here in between Costco runs, for little things like milk and fruit. The one thing about Walmart is you can never gauge how busy they are going to be in any specific time. This particular location is no exception. We try our best to come for the little things, so we can just self-checkout. One thing I can say, they are always there when you don't need assistance, and never around when you need help. I'm sure we have all tried to get something from a locked and have spent most of your visit trying to find the right employee with the "right" key . I couldn't find a No star to give this badly managed and not ready place for an emergency . Shelves are all empty except for underwear's . Employees are hardly seen there except for the ones that check your receipt on the way out , and they treat you like a criminal Pathetic and run down place, even the employees are not wearing masks specially at the deli section and the rotisserie chicken section , I saw the employee talking with another rotisserie chicken section employee over the cooked chickens that were not covered and spit from the speech was coming out of his mouth so I said no thank you and I just went away!!! FIRED UP!!!!! What's that guy's name, anyway? I will ONLY go to THIS Walmart in South SD. I live closer to the one on Palm near Ocean View, but I CAN'T STAND that one. I feel claustrophobic every time I walk into that one. Flashbacks of walking through the halls in high school, with people stopping right in front of you, dilly dallying and not letting you get through just #*$#(*&$^!! Finding parking at the Eastlake Walmart used to be pretty bad, however I find that ever since they expanded, parking has been a bit easier. Also, now that they've added more entrances, getting in and out of the store and back to your car is a breeze. ( I do think the "hallway entrance" near the market section could be wider though.) Groceries also seem to cost less here as well. Love the market! read more

And they pay their employees so low, that they have a department to help employees get government benefits. Do NOT use the delivery service. I ordered groceries on Monday- express delivery . I received an email saying it was delayed. I contact customer service and they say the groceries will not be delivered and they will cancel the order. I order Tuesday morning and schedule delivery for Tuesday night- no groceries again. They tell me they elevated it so I HAVE to receive them weds morning between 7 and 8 am. No groceries. Not only that- they didn't cancel my order Monday so money is still frozen in my account. Try to speak to a supervisor - was put on hold for 15 minutes to be told the wait is too long. HORRIBLE experience. They kept making excuses. read more

So dislike this place. The cashier's are rude and take their sweet time. I swear a snail in molasses could ring me up faster then the cashier's here. One night I was standing in line with 2 kids w/ ear infections getting their meds & "happy treats" to try and make their misery a distant memory. Standing in line with the baby in my arms, my 2 sick kids hanging on my belt loops when we're drenched in Coke. The cashier wasn't paying attention to the person's in front of me stuff, he held the button down on the conveyor belt, the sode got trapped at the metal bar that holds their keyboard, flipped off, hit the ground and broke. Do you think I got an apology or asked how the kids & I were? NO! Instead the jerk laughed and said "guess you don't need that bottle, huh?". Meanwhile Im standing there with 3 crying kids, we're sticky, my flip flops are sticking to the floor and I have to ask repeatedly for him to call the janitor crew to put paper towels to soak the soda up so I dont fall. I ask to speak to a manager. 20 minutes later, still no manager no csm, no body. There is no reason for such horrible customer service. EVER. Unfortunately Wal-Mart is a breeding cesspool of employees and leadership who really could careless about the consumer who comes in. read more

I was so indecisive in which frames to purchase ( woman problems ) she was so honest and attentive. Apparently we don't live in the US and everyone speaks Spanish bc I could not understand one word while using the self-checkout because it was set in Spanish. Doesn't feel like there's any AC inside either because it's always super hot and muggy when I'm in there. They really need to schedule more people on Sunday's and the weekends before the kids go back to school because the lines are ridiculously long with only 6 registers open And someone's had this bright idea to change the isle layout in the store sometime last year. And the arrangement doesn't even make any sense. Good job Walmart. I use to love coming to this Walmart. Now I dread having to come here. read more

The lines at this Walmart are atrocious. There will be four registers open and 15 people in each line, yet still won't open more registers. My personal favorite visit was when, while about 8th in line for the express checkout (where people often have far more than 20 items), the person behind me sneezed on the back of my neck. The price I pay for the benefits of low prices and convenience shouldn't be a handful of flu or hepatitis dripping down the back of my shirt. Anyway, the best parking is on the side next to Carl's Jr., it's always open there and really close to the door. However, no matter where you park, you're going to be so pissed off by the time you leave the Walmart that maybe you should park further away so you have the chance to walk off the rage before you get behind the wheel. Went here today because it's the only store in Otay Ranch/Eastlake the sells fabric, which my wife needed. We were hesitant because of so many bad experiences in the past. But we went ahead with a positive attitude. Went to the fabric department and my wife found fabric she liked. She waited at the fabric dept desk to have her fabric priced, cut, and labeled, but no one arrived. She saw an employee in the area and asked for help. The employee told my wife to walk all the way down to a different department in electronics/technology and ask whoever is there to call for someone to go to fabric. Very nice how the employee working 5ft from the fabric department desk would ask a customer to walk far away and get help from someone else who would then have to call someone else to get assistance. The employee should have went to get help herself instead of asking a customer (my wife) to go on a wild goose chase. My wife instead called the store from her phone, hoping to expedite better customer service. She called with no answer and no help. I then walked to the electronics department and found an employee behind the electronics desk area. He was standing in place staring at his phone. I was already irritated that he didn't acknowledge me, but I kept my cool. I said "excuse me" 3 separate times (progressively louder as he acted like he couldn't hear me). Finally he said "yah?". I told him another employee said we should go to electronics department and ask for help to come to the fabric department. He seemed confused then yelled at a wall behind him and said "FABRIC!!!!" which was weird because it was just a wall and no one within 100 feet. He seemed confused in trying to use the store phone so I just walked back to the fabric department and told him we would be waiting there. A few moments later the same guy shows up to the fabric dept. He said he will try to help even though he didn't know what to do. (Appreciate that). He guessed the price, didn't know how to label it for check out but he tried. (Poor, poor management). He actually said to my wife that "You shouldn't shop at this Walmart. It's terrible. They don't know what they are doing." WOW! Management and Walmart should be embarrassed but I'm sure they look at their numbers $ and could care less. Anyhow, we go to pay at the cashier and the cashier said he needs a correct label to ring up the fabric. We tried to tell him happened and he seemed unsurprised and figured out an alternative way to ring up our purchase. This place needs an overhaul. The floor is dirty and no employee is happy, interested to help customers, or even ty to give a positive experience. It's not their fault, entirely. Management is not present. Help these employees be better!! Sad... Again, only tried this place again after years because they had fabric. Next time we need it, we'll happily drive further and pay more if needed. read more

Over the last year that I've been here I have tried to get assistance in your store four times. One was trying to get spray paint, one was for someone to cut and price fabric, one was for a razor, and one was for a bike lock. All four instances I asked an employee for assistance and each time was told they didn't work in that department and they'd try to find someone. Each time I waited for over 20 minutes and nobody came. So now I'm fed up. I'll never buy anything from you that I have to have assistance for. Maybe you should think about fixing your obviously poor planned customer service organization. On a side note maybe do some training for your personal shoppers not to block every aisle with their carts. They consistently have more than one person in the aisle and the stop in the middle to bullshit which blocks everyone else from proceeding through the aisle. Maybe a training of carts have to be on one side of the aisle would be appropriate. Truthfully there have been several instances that I wanted to punch your employees in the face for how extremely unaware they are that they're impacting customers with their callous disregard for anyone traveling through the store. read more

LOOK AT YOUR RECEIPT!!!!!!!! Went in for one thing and realized they had other stuff I needed too. Once I finally found everything I went to check out and pay. When the cashier totaled everything up I thought the total was a little high, but I've been known to grab stuff and not really look at the price. When I got home I looked at the receipt and I was double charged for two items. When I got back to the store the csm was rude and told me he couldn't do anything because he didn't have anyone available to replay the security footage. This review is towards the Deli. Loved going here and getting the Rotisserie chicken but unfortunately today (15Feb2017) the 2:30pm batch seem to be under cooked. Called and try to tell them to double check but, more concern on telling me the process of cooking the chicken. Also, telling me to come back and will give a refund or another chicken. Ahhh NO! If I could give this store 0 stars I would. I'm not one to write reviews but the delivery/pick up service is horrible. I have a 3 month old so getting out to grocery shop with him is a hassle so I thought I'd take advantage of the pickup service. Everytime I've ever ordered pick up, I wait an hour after I've already been notified that my order is ready. When ordering predominantly groceries and a few household items, they always mark them as out of stock and so I thought surely everytime I order these things they aren't out of stock so one day I placed my grocery order and added a few beauty items, they were of course marked out of stock so I got myself and the baby out of the car to check and sure enough, they were in stock so they are just too lazy to walk to the other side of the store. After multiple times of this happening I just said fine, I'll pay the monthly fee and get free delivery. Today I ordered my groceries and got an email that my delivery driver was on the way at 1:50pm and would arrive by 2pm. 3pm rolls around and I've heard nothing. Now mind you, I only live 8 minutes from this store. So I contact customer service and they proceed to tell me that my driver, Jana, couldn't find my place and returned my delivery to the store. No call, text or email and I only found out because I took it upon myself to reach out. Now I'm stuck waiting who knows how long for them to send someone else. read more

Your basic Super Walmart everyone has seen, although like several others has mentioned for this Walmart, I do believe this is the cleanest and is a well kept Walmart. The lines do seem to get long quickly here, meaning they seem to have the minimum staff at this store or they are very slow to getting other registers open. For those who are 2nd Amendment enthusiasts, the sporting goods section does have an ammo cabinet, but they don't seem to be very active in stocking it. I've regularly checked 2 other Walmarts, and even though this Walmart is the closest to me, I have yet to see their ammo cabinet stocked with ammo, it might be I'm just unlucky and they sell out super quickly, or it could be this box store doesn't have customers with a high interest in such things. read more

She was too lazy to check and see if they had more inventory on a certain item and she said for me to go to the front to check out because I had too many items. I had a total of 13 items.
