I had the worst shopping experience.  1st I had a return. You only had 2 workers and 24 customers 2.  I am disabled so use your motorized carts. When I tried to leave with my full cart I was told I could not take the cart outside. The guy checking receipts told me to get a regular cart. I couldn't. Another man was waiting for my cart. Finally a gal brought a cart. I asked the receipt guy to get me assistance.  He moved my groceries over to new cart but expected me to take it to my car. I reminded him I couldn't. He said he'd get someone. No one came. I called store whileawaiting no one ever answered and I let it ring while I called my husband to come help me. He did and other line was still ringing. If you don't want us taking carts to car then you should have helpers. I cannot shop without it. I will not do that again. One of my issues is a pinched  spinal nerve. I stood there at least 15 minutes in agony. I don't want to hear you are under staffed. I want assurance this will not happen ever again! read more

michelle....metilda...melinda..leslie..erma...fiaz....these are managers at this store who dont give a damn about customers....i had my s c finally come in..i needed a new phone...i went into this store...employee number 008523 rang me up..did not tell me i had to pay an activation fee...phone wouldnt work....service card would not work...i took it all back after metilda told me " as long as you have the receipt we will refund you everything". i went in....i was ganged up on by melina and leslie..who laughed and thought it was a joke....i was then told the leave the store because i told other customers that they refused to refund me the money for something i could not use.....they did not even social distance themselves from me....melinda and leslie stood in my face telling me to leave or the sheriff would be called...saying i was causing a scene even tho i was in a far corner talking to corporate on the phone......they ripped me off.......and leslie kept thrusting the card in my chest..i should have called the cops on her for assault!!!!!!!!! they also let their employees smoke near the flag pole....right where customers walk past...guess they dont care who they give second hand lung cancer too.......ive asked them to have the employees move...but the employees still do it and are r ude about it!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

Walmart ideology is a great idea... For pickup. Walmart you know your Walmart app sucks you've always known that for years even the employees have known that. I don't know how many times I've run into Walmart store when the app says it's there and when I asked a Walmart worker they say the app is not always correct... Or another customer pipes in and says they've had the same thing and don't use the app.... App has been inconsistently incorrect. For example- I order things online for pickup and it says it's there five things are available. I order three... I go to kick it up either your app will say substitute which is 99% it doesn't say that a Walmart work will say no we didn't substitute anything because the app didn't substitute anything I get home and I find out I didn't get what I ordered I got entirely something else and was still charged the bigger price this is happened 7 times!!!! Other times I get substitutes but a lot of times I don't want the substitute if I spend an hour looking at your app and hoping your app isn't lying or you guys have some lame excuse that someone bought it before I put the order in online or the app doesn't always tell the truth whatever excuse you're telling me you get it so wrong... When I go to pick things up and find out my orders not ready and it says it on the app oh my gosh YOUR APP REALLY SUCKS AND YOUR PICKUP REALLY SUCKS... Wait for Amazon to be able to do deliveries to lakeside and if I never have to order things online for pickup I won't once Amazon gets bigger... Walmart you can't blame the app any longer. You need to spend money to get it straightened out. How many times has Walmart gone cheap on their apps and how many times do customers complain. I spend over an hour shopping online to go pick it up to find out three to five seven things aren't what I ordered and getting substitute can be quite frustrating. I decided to get Walmart delivery instead of going myself and after paying nearly $20 + driver tip I am really disappointed. I didn't even receive the items I needed and no one contacted me to let me know they were not available. I would have cancelled this delivery if I would have known my needed items weren't available as I had to purchase a minimum dollar amount so I added a bunch of items that I didn't really need. A big waste of time and money because now I have to go out and get what I need anyway. It was hard to get a hold of a customer service person also as no one notified me that I wasn't going to get all my items, so naturally I thought they were forgotten. When I finally got a hold of someone they just told me they were cancelled and you won't be charged - but no refund on the delivery fee. No apologies or anything!! So frustrating!! My family has been shopping at this location since it opened and when the local grocery store chains closed locations it became our primary grocery store, as with most of the community. Over the last few years the store has become a complete joke. Between letting non service animals in the store, standing up in carts and smelling food or having flea infested dogs in the clothing department, to not stocking the shelves and no customer service. Today was the final straw, my father went grocery shopping and yet again will have go to multiple stores because nothing was on the shelves. He took some pictures, before he was told to stop or he'd have to leave, and sent them to me. This is getting ridiculous, no produce and empty freezer shelves, I mean come on. My father is disabled and having to go to multiple stores is a huge burden on him. Maybe one day this store will get a manager that knows how to properly order inventory, that can accommodate the entire community. read more

What can I say, it's walmart. People have their ups and downs here. I've personally have had no bad shopping experiences here. Anyways, the staff here has been helpful at times trying to find items I am in need of. The bathrooms are pretty clean here compared to other walmarts I've been to. The rush hour times can be a hot mess here when trying to check out and they should staff more people on registers instead of having majority of them shut down. Hope this helps.... I've been here 3x. The first time, I was with my aunt who was here in town from vacation and we somehow got lost on the public transit system and ended up here. We had an hour wait for the next bus so we sat in front of the bus stop and just received weird stares and was being watched the entire time. The second time, I was with a friend to pick up an item for her and we received stares from people who just stopped what they were doing and stared at us as we entered the restroom (restroom was clean btw). The third time, I was with a now ex-friend (mind you, she use to work at this location), and I also received strange stares. I was told by my aunt that it may be because we are POC. I had a weird vibe my first time visiting here and the employees weren't so nice as well. I did not feel welcome. read more

Second time having a bad experience with the older lady at the makeup check out. First time was right before Valentine's day when she spilled water out of a vase all over the floor and took forever to get I cleaned and then told me to pay for my make up at the self check out, second time today, she kept pushing me to the back of the line because I had more makeup and items than those behind me when the people before me had about 25 items. What is the point of a line if she keeps telling me "I'm going to take them behind you because they only have 1 item" I then told her I can very well go pay for my items (makeup included) in the self check out, which I then did. To start with, this particular Walmart is one of the bigger stores. It appears to be somewhat clean and organized most of the time except after 5 PM. Walmart could employ more cashiers instead of trying to corral most of their customers to the self checkout lanes. DO NOT EVER SHOP AT WALMART. THEY ARE SCAMMERS. I ordered over $250 worth of groceries for delivery. The delivery driver was supposed to show up at 11am yesterday and never arrived nor did he deliver the food back to the store. He basically stole all my food that I had bought for my two little children. I spent over 2 hours trying to call the store to which no one can pick up a phone. After I finally got through to someone I was told it was never returned back to the store even though they told me it was returned in their system. I was then told they cannot do anything and to call 1800walmart. To which I did several times only to be hung up on. I then went to the store and had to search the entire store for a manager to which I was ignored by multiple workers and a few even rolled their eyes and raised their voice. One even told me he was "off" and walked away mid sentence. I finally found someone and sat there for 3 hours with two little kids just for them to tell me they can't even refund my card the money THEY STOLE because "their system won't allow it". I refuse to allow this and I will get my money. WALMART YOU OWE ME $273. I EXPECT A REFUND IN FULL TODAY. Also check your employees. This place really pissed me off today. I've always come here to buy my produce and groceries. I am a very heavy guy and I need the assistance of the mobile scooter to get around. Today, they were all in use (a few likely by people that didn't need them. Meanwhile, I'm waiting around embarassed as hell for 45 minutes to find out that there are 3 other people waiting in front of me. I ended up going back to my car and waiting for my wife to finish grabbing the groceries for me, which really pissed me off!! I understand that it's not their fault I need help but it is very frustrating to wait 45 minutes only to find out other people are waiting ahead of me. What made me even more upset was the complete lack of communication from the staff and total apathy for the situation. They didn't give a crap at all. They'd much rather talk about back surgeries and the fact that they don't have any Heinz mayonnaise here. The people here are absolutely RUDE, very select few are nice and helpful. However with this pandemic going on, the grocery pickup has been the worst. Those of us with very small babies who cannot just wait in a line that wraps around a building, we have to order our stuff. However, conveniently when the order is placed, almost everything I need is available, however the day of pickup, over half my order is not available and then I have to wait another week for another order, this is absolutely ridiculous. If an order is placed, you should certainly have a stock area in back where pickup ordered items are stored until they are to be physically picked up. Worst customer service and app ever. read more

This walmart open late, has self checkouts and can be reached by a public bus (I dont know the number of the bus but I believe that bus is going to Viejas Casino as well). This review is for the management at this store. Hire people that will at least say something to customers that aren't wearing masks. We nearly had a fight between customers as one guy was yelling at the top of his voice and another who was pushing what looked like a sick woman in a wheelchair. As Walmarts go, this is a great store. It's large, carries fresh produce including organic items, on-site bakery, deli, well stocked and offers a wide variety of items. The staff is very friendly and the store is clean. Parking is ample and the location is good. I can find most everything I need at this Walmart. I have been to other Walmarts in the area and they do not have the large selection or fresh produce and bakery items like this store. read more

The Walmart itself used to be my favorite in all of San Diego. And it still would be if I didn't dread the parking situation so much. If I go there at all, it's only because it is the closest to my house. The two-star rating reflects this parking lot. It used to be a nice parking lot with parking not too far from the entrance, but lately they have added so many reserved spaces that you have to walk basically forever from your car to the front door. To be clear: I am very glad they have plenty of spots for people with blue placards. I'm not complaining about those. But why did they remove so much space for electric vehicles? The rich people who can afford those cars obviously aren't shopping at Walmart, I never see any cars actually charging. If you want to do something for the environment, instead of making people drive around the lot to find some tolerable spot, put up a canopy of solar panels over the parking lot that provides shade and benefits *everybody*. read more
