While I am usually a fan of Wal-Mart given their low prices on many of the goods they sell, I found a huge rip-off in their pool supplies today that makes me very wary of their other items I had thought were priced low. For a 2 pack of Chlorine for a swimming pool, Wal-Mart had a big display out with a price of $10.97. I had just come from Leslie's Swimming pool supplies who sold the same item for $8.00. AND...............that price seemed high to me since I paid $5.99 a couple of weeks ago at Home depot for the same amount of liquid chlorine. Therefore, buyer beware!!! I've shopped at this store ever since it opened and the service and quality have been rapidly declining. I've endured far too many employees who are rude, grumpy, and b&%chy . The store is disorganized, dirty, and items are frequently not stocked. Shopping carts litter the parking lot like nobody works there, and the isles are too narrow in the drugs & cosmetic sections. I really thought all walmart super stores were like this until I visited one in Roseburg, Oregon, and found that store was clean, stocked, and employees were friendly and helpful. The tire shop here is extremely poor. Do not bring your vehicle here for tires or any service. TL;DR the staff at this auto center is incompetent, rude, uncooperative, unprofessional, and after repeated attempts to get them to address the issue forced me to pay another company to fix their mistakes. About one month ago I took my truck in to have two new tires put on. I was helped by a young woman who was both professional and courteous, and I wish I remembered her name to commend her. The service took longer than expected, especially since there were two techs out in the garage and no other cars around. Two hours later, I was out with 2 new front tires. On the way home, the vehicle shook like the front end was coming apart as soon as I reached highway speeds. No big deal, I thought, someone just forgot to balance a tire. I found time about a week later to go back. They "fixed" it for free, again a long wait, again seemingly plenty of techs in an almost empty garage. As soon as I got on the freeway it started shaking only slightly less violently then before. Twenty minutes later, I get a call from the desk guy saying they forgot to put the cap back on the wheel and could I come back. It is not a component necessary for safe function, but is worth mentioning since the techs didn't even check to make sure all the parts were back on. Finally I went back to give them one last chance to fix it. As I pulled up, several garage staff were under a smoking shelter in the parking lot. There were no cars in the garage, two in the parking lot. I went inside to the desk and told the guy the short version of the above story. With no apology or anything, he brusquely said simply "so what do you want." I asked for them to figure out what they did wrong and fix it. He replied with "it's your alignment. All you're going to get is another balance" I knew this was patently false, but wanting to give the garage techs another chance, I told him that was fine. He then looks at me like I was interrupting his very important work and causing a terrible inconvenience by me wanting them to fix their work. He grabbed my receipts without a word and retreated to his computer. He then snapped at me that there were cars ahead of me and the wait was THREE HOURS. Again, two cars in the lot, all techs out smoking. I said that wouldn't work, at which point he again without a word thrust my receipts back across the counter. As I drove away the techs were just coming back from their smoke break. I'm now sitting in a Taco Bell as another shop nearby repairs the work done by Walmart. Do not under any circumstances use this Walmart auto center, pay a little extra for real pros to do the work quickly and well. read more

I'm usually a hardcore Target girl, but every once in a while I hit up Wally World. Service is hit or miss, but I generally find what I'm looking for at a decent price. I was pretty annoyed when I walked up to the completely empty 10 items or less line and the chick had the audacity to size me and my cart up, looking us up and down, and to ask me if I had more than ten items. 1.) No, I don't, 2.) If I did, check me out anyway! There are no other flippin customers! Ask me that if I have an obnoxiously full cart and I come in your line. The store itself is cleaner, the staff is nicer, and things just seem more like a higher end store than most other area Walmarts. Jackwagon named Andy over in tires, claims to be the assistant manager, did not know what a UTQG is, or a temperature rating on a tire, then claimed he would not disclose the info. It says right on the side of the tire dude. he did everything he could to NOT have to serve me. Don't worry Andy, you don't like doing your job, you won't have one very long. Wish there was a zero ... their bakery sucks. Right hand doesn't know the left hand. Ordered a cake for a Halloween party and went to pick it up know one knew about it . However they found my order sheet was still hanging on their clip board. Gave them another chance to make my son's birthday cake and no one knew where the order sheets were. They told me to come back the following day when there is someone who knows how to take an order. So I did. I went the following day and there was a little old lady at the baker who had no idea how to take the order. She paged someone to come and help me and guest what the same lady who had turned me down the previous night showed up ... at that point I knew I won't be ordering any cake for Walmart . I am only giving Walmart a 5 because of the great outstanding customer service I received from Coty/Cody? today (not sure whether his name was with a t or d). I was at my wits end after spending almost 3 hours on the phone between USPS, UPS, and then Walmart my husband said you better go to the store take your receipt n get his cleared up. I had talked to so many people today n none of them could help me. Coty got to the bottom of it n gave me phone numbers for contacts I might need later on. Cody I believe works in claims because the kid (that was in returns) left to go back to claims n Coty came to the front introduced himself n asked if my name was ------- I told him yes. And the rest is history. He is truly a asset to this store. I told him I don't know if I ever want to go thru Walmart.com again n he told me I have been working here a yr n truly I have never seen this happen. This time of year does not always bring out the best in people and in service. I am very happy to say that I received exceptional service at the Folsom Walmart. When I made a purchase for a charity event, unknown to me or the clerk, I got a bag with a hole in it and my purchase slipped through. I called this location and spoke to Vanessa about my situation and that I still needed the product for my charity event. She told me to come and get the replacement product or, if it were not available (possible this time of year) she would refund my money. Wow! People that care make all of the difference! I attempted returning a collage picture frame, still sealed, with the price tag affixed, without a receipt. I was informed as of October 2018, without a receipt or the card the purchase was made on, there are no returns allowed; no exceptions. I explained my son made the purchase using cash and did not retain a receipt. I was told sorry, it's the policy! Walmart should know that a lot of their shoppers are intelligent enough to NOT SMOKE and hate the smell of cigarette smoke. I would like it if this Walmart would please ask their employees that smoke to do it out back like most Walmarts do. To have to walk by two to three people standing and sitting out front puffing smoke in your face is gross! Maybe Walmart needs to start a smoking cessation program for their employees! On the other hand, this store has numerous employees who have been working there for a long time (15 years). Honestly, I don't prefer going to Walmart, if I can avoid it, but this one is probably the easiest for multiple reasons. They always have better customer service, and the store always seems to be in a little bit better shape than others. I was told today to leave my backpack at the door or I could not go shopping! Mind you, I work hard, have a job , pay my taxes and I use my back pack as my purse because I commute on bike! I asked the Walmart employee why the lady with the giant purse didn't have to leave her purse up front and she couldn't give me an answer! So I asked the manager and same thing...no explanation! I told the manager that I know why you won't let me have my back pack in the store but I just want to hear YOU say it!!! They're discriminating!!! In the past this has been a decent Wal-mart. However this has become a terrible Wal-mart the worst one I have expereinced. The biggest problem is that the store is not stocked. It is like being in Soviet Russia with nothing on the store shelves. While that may be an exageration go in any day and in any section and you will notice lots of empty shelf space. Also it was not until reading other negative reviews that I realized that yest the customer service is terrible. The last time I went we had a question about a product the employee did not know asked someone else they then told us if they even had that item which they didnt know if they did it would be in one area. They did have the item but not where they said. I worked for Wal-mart before and know they expect customers who are asked to stay with the person until they find the item and this was not done at all and neither employee seemed very knowledgeable or willing to help. This was just my last time their. I thought about it and many other times I have had similar or worse experiences with their customer service. Actually this time was pretty good. I normally don't let things bother me though so that is why I kind of forgot about it until it was mentioned. Unless they can start stocking there shelves I will be going elsewhere. read more

I moved last year to Fairfield and after going to the Fairfield Walmart I can say I truly miss this one. The staff is generally friendly and the lines aren't ever horrendous. And the patrons are usually pretty normal and there's hardly homeless people lingering around outside. Everything is typically easy to find and clean. Sometimes if I go back home I will drop by here before heading back if I have things to pick up, just to avoid having to go to the Fairfield one. read more

Cleanest Walmart in the area! I'll always drive out from Rancho to go to this one. And it's always clean. Workers aren't always the nicest though. A lot of times when I ask for help, they groan or use a rude tone. And also, checkout takes longer than I would like. But everything is always pretty much clean. And I love that this one is 24 hours. Sometimes I like to go there at midnight if I'm out and want to avoid day time crowds. The grocery aisle is good and I love the kids' clothes and their prices. read more

Pulled up at 3:17 pm Tuesday August 1st.. Just needed a basic oil change on a 2008 scion xb.. Waiting in line to get my services done excited cause they only had on car in getting a battery change done and another getting tires figured I'm next in line... Until the mechanic walks in to turn down another customer in front of me who's already purchased his ties due to the fact they don't have enough time.. When my turn came in line he told me the same thing.. I said you have 2 cars and 4 mechanics why would you not be able to get a 15 minute oil change it's only 3:30 at this time and you don't close till 7..then he blamed management for shorting workers.. So if 4 mechanics not enough to change 4 tires and a battery and do a oil change? Again he turned me down.. So Walmart management is it your fault or is it just the fact you hire lazy workers.. Also I like the self checkout because usually I'm running into Walmart just to grab one or two things. Prices are always low and hard to beat. Walmart typically has it all. Poor customer service in electronics. Every time i come, there is only 1 person in electronics and they are always only doing phone service setups. God help you if you want something out of the videogame case, which they keep locked up, unlike 99% of the other products in their store. Multiple times the 1 guy has not acknowledged me, and isn't willing to call someone over to help me out while they are busy. As I write this, this is happening again. I have ended up going to Target in citrus heights instead twice before, and I am close to doing so again. read more

Worst auto service center ever. Had my oil changed and noticed I was leaking oil shortly after. Took the car back on a Monday at 5pm only to be told they were not taking anymore cars (there were 3 in front of me) I told the tech I was not there to get a service completed but wanted them to check the car since they were the last ones to work on it (oil change 2 weeks ago) and it was dripping oil. The guy told me to go inside to get written up. I walked inside and the cashier who works in the auto center was on the phone but yells to me they are not taking cars.i said I understand that however my car is leaking oil. He says he needs to call the manager. So the manager comes and the cashier says she wants her car worked on. I explained to the manager that was not the case but instead I needed them to check the car since it has been leaking oil ever since I got the car back from them.the manager says well we don't have any techs here (there was a total of 3 staff outside and three cars in the car bays) I explained that I could possibly have an issue since I don't know how much oil Leaked out and I was told it wasn't their problem. Do not ever get your car worked on here. Went to jiffy lube and round trip corner and they took car of me right away. The tech at jiffy lube found the old oil from the previous oil change (completed at walmart) that the Walmart staff just emptied onto my plastic tray under my car and never properly drained the oil. DONT EVER GO HERE FOR AUTO SERVICE read more
