At Walmart on second street. Unbelievable . The line for the one open checker was around the corner. Insanity. I was on the phone for 20 minutes and it just rang and rang and they wouldn't answer until they just hung up on me!! The poor underpaid workers there we're just looking at us like we're helpless management fucking sucks they only scheduled one person it doesn't matter how busy we are we can't get one one more checking lane open. Meanwhile the Walmart family has increased their net worth $100 billion during the pandemic but they can't open two check out lanes I don't work for Walmart I don't want to check out myself it's a grocery store!!! I really like this Walmart. Something cool I found out is that it is on Indian Tribal grounds so they have their own police. They also give money to their tribe to lease the grounds. They have a lot-cop which I feel really safe shopping here. It's convenient with easy on and off freeway access. They always have a great selection and the employees are very friendly. I highly recommend coming here. It is not as busy as some of the other local Walmart super centers in the area. read more

I've been to this Walmart a couple of times so far and I think it's pretty good! It's a huge location that includes the Home and Garden section that has a pretty okay selection of plants and succulents. The best time to come here is during the weekday mornings because it isn't crowded at all, unlike the weekends and afternoons. I'm only giving the Walmart on Kietzke La. in Reno at the Redfield Center a 1 star because I can't submit a review without giving them at least that. It doesn't deserve even 1 star. The most unfriendly and rude employees I have ever experienced on every visit."Greeters" don't even greet you when you say good morning to them and twice when I asked an employee where something was located due to their construction during business hours and moving everything around they actually pulled DOWN their masks when they got close to me!!! The last time I was in this store there was a line of people at her register because it was the only one open taking cash and she couldn't get her draw open. This is THE only Walmart I've ever been to that has friendly people, clean rows, fully stocked shelves, an actual OPEN line with a cashier waiting in the row greeting you toward the register, AND nice smiling customers. All (and I mean ALL) the Walmart employees smiled at me and acknowledged my existence. I was completely blown away by this since all the Walmarts in the Bay Area are whack. I'm sure they try but the people working there are miserable! I finally went into a Walmart that looked like those cheesy ass commercials on TV. I really hate Walmart, but if I HAVE to go o Walmart, this one is OK. It is the most convenient to Downtown. It is also one of the smaller stores. It is owned by the the Reno-Sparks Indian Colony. An extra star for converting the contaminated property into something much better. It is known as Three Nations Plaza. Staff there are always friendly and helpful. It does not seem as crowded as some of the other stores and it somehow seems cleaner and brighter. Entrance to the Parking lot is a bit awkward as there is only one travel route. I order delivery, but it is haphazard. Sometimes you get the delivery and sometimes you don't. I called customer service, but they are worthless. they don't seem to care very much, and offer no solution to my problems. I've tried to call the store direct, but no one ever answers the phone there as a disabled person, I have to have my groceries delivered so I am at their mercy. However, it's perfectly acceptable. I don't think its any small coincidence that the majority of the (glowing) reviews come from people visiting from the Bay Area and other parts of California. I haven't been a Walmart in San Jose (where I originally hail from), but I've heard its atrocious. So I'm sure by comparison, this one is like a world apart. Yes, large aisles, stocked shelves, friendly employees. You can pretty much find that at the other Walmarts in town though so that's no big thing (the one on Kietzke aside, of course). I like the layout and the general atmosphere of the other Walmarts better as well. (If you're curious, my favorite, at least until the North Valleys Walmart opens, is the Northwest Walmart... I'll revisit the issue after the one nearest my home opens. I'm sure it'll get extra marks for sheer proximity). Anyhow, I haven't even really talked all that much about THIS particular Walmart. But what is there to say? It's a Walmart. It has pretty much everything and anything and at great prices. There's a McDonalds inside for munchies/drink needs and the other standard amenities. I hesitate to give it marks on cleanliness since its NEW and its not hard to keep something new looking new, you know? I'll be impressed if it's still clean and lovely here in five or ten years. This Walmart supercenter was clean and organized. Prices were comparable to Vegas. Everything was great until checkout. The cashier did not know how to ring up a manufacturer coupon so he said "Sorry we don't take those coupons". I told him it was a manufacturer coupon of course they do. He said not at this store. So I asked for the store manager. Note there was a very long line of folks forming behind me. Manager took about 7 minutes to arrive but when he did he took the coupon, confirmed the product matched the coupon requirements, scanned it, pushed whatever buttons needed to be pushed and gave me my new Total. Then I produced a Walmart E Giftcard on my phone and again the cashier did not know what to do. He said "It's not working" to me. Thankfully the manager wasn't too far and I called to him. He came back, scanned gift card, gave me my new Total and completed my transaction. Great. Except not once did he try to teach or explain to the cashier how to take the coupon or the gift card. It is apparent that this cashier was not properly trained and he wasn't taught when a problem arised. read more

Worst walmart i have ever been to. I stood in three different check out lines for about 45minutes. No signs were posted to indicate that most check outs were cash only and you only found out when you stood in line for 20minutes already. The second line I stood in closed as soon as I got to the register, with no warning whatsoever and after standing for another 15minutes. POST SIGNS THAT READ CASH ONLY so customers can know ahead of time! Not all walmarts are poorly run like this one, so we don't know of that cash only policy! If your cashier decides to close his/her register, at least give those customers in line an earlier heads up rather than waiting until they get to the register after waiting in line! I got harassed in the ladies restroom by a worker. She was an old lady, who worked around 2:38pm on December 27. I asked her if I could use the bathroom since it was an emergency. Initially, I thought she was cleaning the family restroom since it was locked. She started to scream at me and followed me down the stalls. I remember her saying, "What are you doing here? There are cameras. Are you paying for my salary? Are you my boss? Are you rich? Are you a billionaire or a child?" I didn't end up using the bathrooms, I just left the stall I was hiding in. She was standing in front of the hallway with a mop just staring at me, and blocking my only exit. I thank the people who were there to cover for me because I would've just stood in the restroom afraid. She was also aggressive to the people outside the restrooms. This woman needs a reevaluation from her team because screaming at customers, especially those who weren't part of this, will not change her current situation. If possible, I would like to provide more information about this team member. read more

I was waiting in line to use the self-checkout machine on Friday, June 10, 2022 just before 10:00 pm. The incompetent employee who was running the self-checkout machines at the south end of the store was very rude to me. She yelled at me to get back when I thought a machine was available. She yelled that I was being too impatient. Her behavior was rude and unacceptable. As a result, I told her that I was going to shop at another store because of her attitude. The employee who was running the self-checkout cash registers at the south end of the store should receive a coaching as a due process discipline. The manager should firmly explain to her that her behavior was rude and unacceptable. The manager should explain that she will be terminated and not be eligible for rehire if she continues to receive multiple disciplines. The manager should explain that she will not be able to transfer departments or to another Walmart store for 1 year as a result of this coaching. This woman is a bad employee. I ended up spending $49 buying the groceries at another store. This means that Wal-Mart lost $49 from me tonight as a result of this incident. I will never shop at this Walmart location again. read more

Walmart Supercenter on pyramid way if I could I would give negative 100 stars. So we bought a double glazed spiral ham for Christmas dinner and when we opened the ham it was expired 10 days. When i called they made excuses that pertained to we are short handed. I'm sorry but that has nothing to do with putting out expired food and how many other items are expired when you purchase them? I hate this place! Not everyone has ill will or bad intentions. I purchased a Happy Helpers sidecar scooter for my granddaughter for Christmas, however, the scooter would be too small for her. I did not have my receipt, didn't want money back just wanted to get her something more age appropriate. Walmart would not accommodate at all. This Walmart is not the worst Walmart ever when you're picking out groceries, but everything goes downhill real quickly when you get into the checkout lines. Every time I come here, especially at night, there are only a handful registers open and long lines going back to the aisles. Even the express checkouts are not really express checkouts, with a continuous line of 5 to 6 people at each one. Moreover, this is one of the only Walmarts I have seen that does not have any self checkouts, so you're at the mercy of the slow cashiers. This Walmart would be a 1 star location, save for the nice layout of the store itself, and the friendly older Asian woman at the door, who said that she didn't check my receipt because I am handsome. I left the store smiling because of her. Bottom line is that there are better Walmart locations you can visit, where you can get through the line much faster. I Purchase an item to be delivered and it was in time period the item was cat food the bag they sent Robin pounds expired in 8 days I went to return the bag and there were 23 people in lying waiting for return and/or pain bills. Most of them were paying bills and they had no person to take care of their own business. I think that is a real badd way to run a business. read more

This particular Walmart is not in fact a Supercenter. And if they really are, there wasn't anything out front that tells the customer this. The sign simply says: "Walmart". It is located on Indian land and they do not allow you to park RVs overnight in their parking lot (a policy that all other Walmarts are known to allow). We found ourselves face-to-face with security at 2 a.m. as we pulled into Reno and needed a safe place to sleep in our car.
