Good ol Wally World. Even though it's closer to my house I will only go here if it is the last resort, let me explain. Wally provides more competitive pricing, yes I get that but the experience is so not the one i want to have when I go to a store. There is so much traffic, parking lot is chaos and then the lines and people At Wally World Again I'm not saying it's a bad place, and my wife goes here once in a while but by the time I leave wal Mart I just feel bad. I was there yesterday and I did notice that they are starting the pick up service which a lot of people are turning to, which I do have to say is pretty neat, I still don't honk I will go to Wally World for my first choice. One of the silliest things about this location is that once it gets a little later at night they close the left entrance of the store and so you can only go in through the right side, which means if you end something from the left side of the store you have to park on the right side and walk across the entire store then back. read more

I purchased some items at Walmart's self checkout. After I purchased my items two Walmart employees approached me and asked to see my receipt. I then flash my receipt at them and tried leaving. When I tried to leave they blocked my cart and wouldn't let me leave. I then grabbed my bags to leave the store and the employees ripped the bags of items that I paid for out of my hands. One of the employees then started calling me a thief, liar and all kinds of names. I asked to talk to a manager and after the employees told their managers what happened the managers apologized to me and said I could leave. Once someone purchases something from a store it's no one's business what they purchased. I'm hoping those employees get fired. read more

I've used the Walmart delivery service several times now with no complaints until today. My order was scheduled for delivery yesterday. I got a message that the order was "delayed", and that is still my status. With delivery orders going out all day long, I can't figure out why mine is still "delayed". I've tried all day long to contact the store, but either no one answers or they pick-up the phone and immediately hang-up. I tried the customer service team linked to the Walmart.com site, and they told me even they couldn't get through to the store so the best they could do was send an email to try to get my delivery sent. They offered me a $15 discount on my next order, but what's the use of a discount if I never receive my order. read more

Okay, First of all I am a person that loves the convenience of Walmart but doesn't like the crowds, shopping or waiting in long lines. Walmart has a new Service for people like me! Walmart Grocery. It is an ap you can install on your smart device, create a shopping list by picking the products, quantities and sizes you want, schedule your pick-up time, and pick your groceries up. I used to come here weekly for groceries. I would get the same things I always get, which is about 6 items. Everytime they would be out of one thing of another. With the few things I need, I find it horrible that I could get 4 of the 6, normally, and would end up going to yet another store because Walmart failed to stock their items adequately. I went in to return a tent that was defective to a Walmart and they decided to let me know they changed policies in feb without bothering to let the customers know and now I can't return a defective tent to a Walmart close to me and now have to have the frustration and anger of having to drive across the entire city to return something because a store makes up there own stupid return policy very very disappointed and ashamed of Walmart for this one. I'd give far less the. A one if it was an option a company that can let there stores change policy on a whim without evern notifying the customers is just poor poor service. read more

Can I give this place zero stars. For one i use to go to Walmart maybe 4 times a week for different items. Today I go for a few things one a printer cartridge that's under 20.00. Well it's locked up and o have other shopping to do the lady takes it out and tells me I have to pay for it now. How this store has 2.5 stars is beyond me. This is probably the worst Wal-Mart in the Reno-Sparks area. The workers are great but morale isn't. It is apparent that the management is either utterly incompetent or has no regard for customers. My schedule only allows me to do my shopping Sunday afternoon. Every week the shelves look like there was a run on basic items. It's a sad running joke among shoppers as to what excuse we'll get if we complain again. Will it be, the truck didn't come. The merchandiser didn't come. The stockers didn't come. There was no back stock this week. Or the regular look of frustration for being asked the same question over and over and not having a honest reason to give. Feel bad for the employees working for this place. This store must be missing out on thousands of dollars a week if not a day due to missed sales because of being out of stuff. For the heck of it we've gone to Kitzkie store for a couple weeks and somehow they seem capable of running a consistent stock, but they are way out of the area from where I live. Until things change my wife and I are doing our primary shopping at Winco down the road and are just getting the few things that Walmart does have usually. Don't even get me started on their pick up service. Seems like Wal-Mart as a company has adopted the belief that profits are far more important than their customers. Dont go here unless you are a closet cashier . I went to this wallmart early in the morning and when I tried to check there was 6 uscan it lanes open and no checkers . What can I say? It's Walmart. You wait in line with 10 people in front of you, with a cashier who is slower than dirt, all the while 5 employees are standing around talking and laughing. One of them is on their phone talking. Oh, and then the cashier machine goes down, and it takes 5 minutes for someone to come and fix it. It's a great store and fairly clean. The reason that I'm giving it 2 stars is that every time I'm there, passing by electronics on the way to the food side, I get absconded by Charter reps trying to push me to get Charter. They can get really pushy and in some cases quite rude. I see many people trying to avoid them or speed up to get by them. I'm now trying to go to Smith's in the same area every chance I get, even though they are more expensive, because I don't like being interrupted while I shop. read more

The employees there suck at doing their job the managers are worse. The bathrooms are disgusting. The floors look like they never clean them in the clothing/shoes area. The clothes & shoes are always a mess when I go in to shop. The last time I went in I heard a manager yelling at a employee trying to fight her. The girl seemed to be 17 to 18 years old & the manager is still working there like didn't you just threaten to beat a kid? She seem around in her 40s. Stores that are all across the nation are not all the same. For example this location I rated to other locations I rated differently. Why may you ask. Well let's just say each time I go into this Walmart every single time I cannot find the item I am looking for. Either they do not have them in stock or they are completely out of stock. However the store seems to be tidy. I've never really had the experience of working with any staff there. Each time I go in and I cannot find an item I'm looking for I normally leave. I went there today and they put a price on a bike, the employee told me that price, scanned the code in front of me and when I went to pay was triple of the price. Both managers were very rude saying that they couldn't take that amount of money from the store. Please right, if they label something wrong is not our fault, they need to make that price for the costumer, this is our rights. I would put negative stars if possible. I live in the area and go to this store all the time and I have to say the service at this store is horrible. The greeters and cart collectors are the best point of service. To them I say... Keep it up and Thank you! No one else seems to care at all. This is the nicest Walmart in Reno. It's clean and well organized, and it has the best selection of goods of any Walmart I've been to here. I'm not sure I've hit every Walmart in Reno, but I think I've hit most of them. At any rate, enough to know a good one when I see it. The last time I was there I found parking right by the door right away. No need to circle the lot. And the cherry on top was that I walked right up to a 20 item or less line with absolutely no waiting. On a previous visit, I found tons of super cheap clothes and other stuff on clearance. The best way for me to review Walmart is to list my problems and how I try to mitigate them. 1) It's busy, often with customers who you would prefer to avoid for a variety of reasons. 2) The checkout workers are slow. I don't want to bash them, sometimes they are older folk who aren't so spry, or they get loaded down with a non-stop line of aggravating customers. Solution: I go around 8-9pm, the crowd isn't so busy, but the self checkout lanes are still open. Parolees are home to make curfew. 3) They often are out of stock of certain items for extended periods of time. Solution: Their website allows you to check for your local store's stock. I can confirm this does NOT always work, their website is often not up to date or just a big lie. 4) Their shopping carts are broken/loud or whatever. No one cares, it's Walmart. On the good side: Pre-packaged branded stuff isn't really variable in quality, so buying them here at a better price makes sense. They may not have the fancy stuff, but they do have a wide variety of the mainstream brand items. Plus if you need a gigantic bottle of ranch dressing or an infinite amount of paper towel rolls, they have you covered. Their deli and pastry stuff is pretty weak quality wise, but their kaiser/dinner rolls are surprisingly ok and cheap. The one thing I'd miss from here is their big bag of frozen strawberries that doesn't have a bunch of added sugar or syrup. Their pharmacy people are actually nice and efficient. read more

Do not order online. The person on the other side of the computer can just push a button to cancel your order if they don't want to check and make sure it is in stock. It said it was in stock when I ordered then my order was cancelled and I was told about the computer option to cancel the order. A good store to shop in but not worth the drive if your not in the area and you expect to order and then pick something up. Instead I went to the Carson store and received excellent service. The store itself is very clean and offers excellent service and clean customers accept during burning man season. Deodorant anyone? Oh yeah and it took us about seven keys made wrong, getting multiples made twice - by the manager- and none of the keys worked!! Cost so much money! We went to Home Depot and it took them one time. Purchased my groceries last week buyers beware they have hired new greeters / security guards to review receipt haven't graduated high school can't review products on receipt that you have a paid for at your check out counter. I was disappointed with my experience with your employees tonight, 2/25. I came in for 2 quick things. I headed over to Cosmetics to pick up press on nails for my younger cousin. When I arrived there, all of the nails were locked and said "See Sales Associate." So I did-there were two ladies around the corner, one older (goes by the name of Joanne, I believe), and a younger one. When I approached and said, "Excuse me," I was at first ignored. I continued to talk, and continued to be ignored. When the lady I believe to be named Joanne turned around to acknowledge me finally, she rolled her eyes at me and was very clearly annoyed that I had bothered her with a simple question. The younger gal then proceeded to laugh at Joanne's reaction to me. She then asked Joanne if she had the key and Joanne threw up her hands, rolled her eyes again, and just scoffed. The younger gal told me then that I would have to go to Customer Service because none of them had a key or knew where one was. So I did. I was greeted by a very nice lady at the Customer Service desk who then directed me to a less nice guy. He seemed annoyed that I had come there, even though I had been directed by people who also worked there. He told me on the walk back to Cosmetics that I should have just pushed the button available in that section to alert someone instead of coming to Customer Service. I explained that I had talked to 2 other people and they told me to go there, and did not mention a button. He then pretty much said that I should've just pressed the button. We arrived and he said, "See? Here's the button." Then was very short with me when getting my item unlocked. I THEN traveled to the Photo Center to pick up pictures I had ordered, only to be met with more rudeness. I waited for a while, and when someone finally arrived, she glared at me, and then turned to a different customer to help them first. The guy she was beginning to help politely asked, "Do you want to help her first?" The lady shook her head, rolled her eyes, and helped him. She was then very short with me while helping me get my photos. As someone who worked in customer service, I was very disappointed and upset by this. I know it's nighttime & everybody is probably tired. Believe me, I get it, but that is not an excuse to treat anybody, let alone customers with such disrespect. read more

I don't normally shop at Walmart. I went there to specifically get a certain thing a friend said she got at this store. I couldn't find some of the other stuff I wanted. I do not think I will be going back anytime soon. It was really hard to find help. I had a female employee come over to me when I was in line at cashier and give me evil nasty looks and was staring at what I had in my cart. It was creepy and strange. Came here for an oil change... "oh sorry we don't have your oil filter" You can get one at O'Reillys next door. Ok sure as a customer, I'll walk my butt over to your competitor to purchase a oil filter at full price... expecting them to deduct the cost of the oil filter... nope. Well yes but just $2 when I paid $8. What kind of service is this? Get your act together walmart. If you're going to send a customer away to purchase their own product, at least give them credit for the product you failed to keep in stock. I have been using the Curbside grocery pickup for about a year now and haven't had anything but good experiences. My order is always right and if something is out of stock they will let you know and you will not be charged. Completely different experience than going into the store and getting what you need. The employees are pleasant to deal will opposed to the ones working in the store. Won't ever be going in again! Will always use there pickup! Much better experience! My wife and I as well as many friends and family have shopped in this store since it opened. We are frequent fliers. They pretty much have everything you need for the basics and some not so basic. The service ranges from OK to OUTSTANDING but when you deal with people this is to be expected. Overall, Walmart does an outstanding job when you look at the big picture. Currently Walmart employees are doing their very best to keep shelves stocked and assist customers as best they can. The Walmart family and employees deserve a 10 star rating during these crazy times so from me; THANK YOU WALMART for everything you do. read more

For some reason they have removed half of the check out lines and turned them into self checkouts instead. If I wanted to scan groceries I would work there! I will never understand why they are always stocking in the middle of the day. They are open 24 hrs so why wouldn't restock overnight instead? If you can get passed the clutter, under stocked shelves, the slowest checker ever and the self checkouts you can still find some good deals. read more

(I posted this in the wrong Walmart place so I am reposting.) Walmart at Damonte in Reno. The service is getting worse and worse and worse! I was checking out three mini-rolls and she help me key it in. It came out $.96 a piece. I said the sign says $.32. She can not change the computer. I asked her to call the supervisor. She will not call the supervisor. She said if I don't want it, I can leave it. WHAT KIND OF ANSWER IS THAT? We argue back and forth. Walmart what is your procedure when this happens? I have to leave the bag. The other day I bought 7 distilled water for refill. The woman at the checkout says "8","4". She said it twice. I asked, "What do you mean 8,4?" because I have no idea what she is saying. I told her it is $.37 cents each gallon. She took her scan gun and scanned the bottle. Now I realized she meant 84 cents each! I said No this is refill. She said "I did not tell her it is refill". Isn't her job to know? Walmart where are you getting your people? Why are you hiring people who barely speaks English? Why are you not training them more? I HAVE HAD IT. I AM NOT GOING BACK TO WALMART EVER. read more

I came in yesterday, mainly to buy a new cellphone, but stopped by the sporting goods department to buy a knife I had been looking at for a few weeks. Thinking this task would not take long, as it shouldn't, I felt like I had plenty of time, given I had work in 45 minutes right down the road. I was wrong. No one was manning the sporting goods department desk, which is a normal inconvenience this Walmart indulges in, so I ask a passing employee to get someone with the proper keys to open the display case, as the display pieces are the only ones they ever have in stock (I have purchased many knifes from this Walmart, one being only a few weeks ago, out of the display case, but I'll get to that later.) Multiple Walmart employees come up and try to open the case with their keys and none open it, this takes a total of probably 20 minutes all together. Meanwhile multiple employees start crowding around me seemingly opening boxes fervently, some of them not even dressed in Walmart uniforms and not opening the boxes with box cutters, but rather intimidating pocket knifes, while they stare straight at me (I'm talking 3 or 4) I wait another 10 minutes from the last person who talked to me and finally a woman, the "only manager there" shows up and without an apology or anything asks me which knife I want rather rudely, as if I was wrongly taking her away from the break I had heard one of the other employees say she was on. I pointed to the knife and without pause she said "we probably don't have it in stock and we don't sell the display pieces." Which is a lie and the reason I know it was a lie is because the knife I was carrying was a display piece I had bought out of this exact display case three weeks earlier, having been given a 10% discount infact because it was a display. I stated these fact to her and said I wanted to see her manager, which she said very rudely was not possible because she was the only manager there and then went to walk away. I said I know you are not the store manager, I have been coming to this Walmart since it was built and know the management here. She said it doesn't matter, because they are going to tell me the same thing. At this point the guys with the knifes had stopped cutting the boxes and were just standing about three feet away from me with the knives in their hands looking at me very menacingly along with about three other employees, so, feeling very threatened, I said what the fuck are you doing, get away from me with those knives. She said we are calling the cops because you cussed and a guy went off to call the cops on me!! I was said this is going to make it to the highest authority in Walmart and beyond and she said good, very sarcastically, as I was walking away the employees with the knives started yelling threats including "catch me outside" which mean they are going to come outside where they are "not at work" and hurt me on their "own time" to which I said oh yeah, catch me outside homeboy! I left and will never be back. The better business bureau is going to be hearing about this as well. Nice to see my childhood Walmart go to hell. read more
