Took my car in for an oil change. They destroyed the motor protection plate under the car. Now it drags on everything.

What a shame since this is the Walmart closest to my house. Self check out is a disaster. The lady working the self checkouts was very busy so I tried to be understanding but she skipped over me FOUR times to help other people even while I approached and stood right in front of her at the counter. Maybe she just doesn't like my kind. Management won't read this but if they did it was at self checkout lanes the lady was working alone at 8:30 pm on 7/15. read more

I use to drive out of my way to come to this Wal-Mart, but those days are over. The three employees in the electronics department were too busy carrying on a personal conversation to help me or three other customers. I waited almost 15 minutes before throwing the merchandise in a random location. I figure the employees needed more work to do since they had so much time to socialize. The lady at the register in the garden center was very rude! Instead of explaining that the machines weren't able to read debit cards, she repeatedly made snide comments about using either cash or credit. Hello?!?! The "credit card" you swiped was my debit card! The selection at this store is a lot less than other local Walmarts. The layout of the store is also very confusing. Couldn't find half of the things on my list. Save yourself some time & trouble by going to a different Walmart. read more

So glad HEB is across the street. This Walmart sucks! Employees aren't helpful and never know where products are. They don't try to help you find anything at all... If you ask any questions, everyone just says "I don't know." Literally just left my basket and went across the street to HEB to buy everything from HEB. HEB IS SUCH A BETTER EXPERIENCE. every time I go into Walmart I'm reminded why I don't even need to waste my time in that "super center" of nothing. read more

Waited a Long time to check out. Wal-Mart could just hire and schedule more checkers. .or they could schedule their employees full time instead of part time. Either way, they just don't seem to value their customers' time. I left my groceries in the basket and walked out. Went to Kroger's. I spent more time in line to check out than i did gathering my food in my basket. read more

I went to Walmart for a oil and filter change. Less than $28, tax included for the basic service which included Quaker State oil and Fram filter. Not premium products but I am ok with them. However, the sevice did take about 45 minutes not 10-15 minutes like other oil change places. But there is a McDonald in store and one can shop while waiting. read more

I realized I posted this on the wrong Walmart location, oh well, at least I realized it so I could move it to its' rightful place now. Here it begins: It is Walmart, so you kind of get what you expect. Generally icky service throughout the store and lots of people. If you need helping finding something you won't get it either. However, out of the Walmarts in this area, it is the best of them. It is at least usually clean and most of the cashiers are nice enough. Sometimes they get cranky when you use coupons, but many Walmarts I have been to do too. Like another person said, this place gets crazy during Black Friday. At the last one, they were completely understaffed and ended up closing the place down for awhile and some people got arrested for fighting over $3 pillows. read more

I'm not one for "the blue store" but I have to say that Tiffany from the jewelry department ROCKS. She helped me replace some watch battery's for a VERY reasonable price. They don't replace unless it's a brand that can be purchased at Walmart. But, she did a quick, professional job. The jewelry store was going to charge me over twice what Walmart charged. Came in there pretty late maybe around 11. I was able to find all of my needs pretty quickly. But the check out was horrible. Even though it's 11, it doesn't make sense to have just one cashier open. Even worst, 2 people ahead of me way paying with credit card and came to find out credit card machine did not have a signing pen. This was another delay of 15 with ONE lane because transaction was not able to be finish. Being in sugar land, they need to step up. read more

This super center looks a little shabby and the inside is very busy. I have realized at times that the store doesn't necessarily have the cheapest prices so I go only for specific items that I know are cheaper. They do have a cash pay $4 walmart prescription list which is nice. read more

Timing is everything! If you like to shop at night - this is your place. How about an early morning before 8 AM? - Come ahead. But other times are treacherous. I know we all have experienced cutbacks. It seems that cashier stations have suffered the most. I do enjoy the historic Sugar Land photos on the wall by the cashiers. This store is adequately supplied with a variety of nicer items for the home. Give them a try. It is easy to get in and out. read more

Needed a new battery for my Expedition. In and out under 30 minutes. Fast and friendly service. Got a strong battery with 3 year warranty $100. Cheaper than most I looked at for a comparable one. The only reason it did not get 5 stars is well...it's Walmart :) read more

this walmart used to be a great place to shop. Everything has changed now employees are very very rude even the second shift managers are horrible. I do coupons and i know people hate that and im sorry but i love to save money. These employees need to learn more about coupons, they are the ones that slow down the line. They have 20 cashiers but only one person at customer service. The store manager needs to look into this and either cross train the cashier or put another person at the customer service desk. Today the wait time for people at the time I went was over 15 minutes. Ridiculous! read more

Cliff in the service demartment called me that Indian as if I have no tittle, when I'm far from. He has no knowledge of walmart service offers nor any ordnance. In the matter which cliff spoke to me I could tell my color was a factor. As I was speaking to him he walked away as if my money and knowledge was no use. Walmart in the getto are much more respectable I would never come to this walmart again. Especially when they have people like CLIFF working there. Just left the walmart in sugarland. I was in shock. I'm used to not being greeted, not helped, and all around "hate my job and people" attitude. This place was clean, nice, well stocked. The employees were courteous and helpful. Deli is huge. Lady behind the counter was awesome. Our cashier Tracy was so sweet. She asked us how we were, and I usually don't ask how they are because the typical answer is "I'm tired or I can't wait to get out of here." She was just really nice to talk to. As we were leaving, another employee thanked us and told us to have a great day. I looked at my husband and said "are we in some sort of bizzarro walmart?" Great experience! read more

I normally don't shop at Wal-Mart, so I had to search for almost everything I needed. I asked four different employees if they sold Christmas storage tins for Christmas candies. The 1st person said "I don't know, I just work here". Really?? Two more didn't have a clue. The 4th person said no, we don't carry them. I turned and took a dozen steps and saw the world's largest display of Christmas storage tins. I actually told the store mgr all of this and she said they move so much around that it's hard to know where they are and chuckled. So she didn't even know where they were or if they sold them!! How does this Walmart stay in business? It seems like I always have some sort of issue with this store. The employees are not friendly or helpful and are pretty much worthless. They're always on their cell phones though. Seems like every time I have to make a stop they never have any cashiers open. Today, they had one cashier and it had a line of 4 people deep. They just started opening up the self serves (it's 9am). When I went to the self serve, every machine I tried would not accept cash (I had $4 worth of batteries). The worthless employee left her station, so I waited. I was just about to leave when the employee came back. She looked confused as to why I was still trying to check out. After loudly complaining, she finally came over to activate the machine. I don't understand why people do all of their grocery shopping here. Their prices aren't any lower than other grocery stores. The only reason why I ever stopped here was to get something simple and to get out. It's no longer convenient for me. read more

First off I rarely ever shop at Wal Mart anymore preferring to shop at Kroger as it's cleaner, there's always an open lane, the prices on all items are cheaper, you get gas points and everyone is friendly and pleasant that work there. Today I call Walmart because I couldn't find the number for the pharmacy and I was running errands so I was in the car. First off the lady who answered the phone was rude and refused to transfer me to the pharmacy even though I told her I was driving and couldn't write the phone number down. Then I finally call the pharmacy and they lady in broken English says my address sounds suspect when I live 15 minutes away from the store in a master, planned community and have been using the pharmacy for 8 years now and at the same home for over 8 years. I'm not sure how some lady who barely speaks English can insist that my address is not a real address. I merely called in to fill a prescription, but had to deal with this nonsense. Get to the pharmacy and they get my birthdate all wrong, but no biggie. Get my prescription and do my grocery shopping even though I rarely shop at Wal Mart anymore. Get my things and it's not even 3 pm and no open lanes and it's not even a weekend. I wait for a good 15 minutes in line at least. I have a bottle of wine and the woman in broken English has the nerve to ask me if I'm over forty years old. I'm definitely not forty and don't even look 30 so I couldn't believe she'd ask something so rude and silly. I am 34 though and she wanted my drivers license. I haven't been carded in many years. She says my license is expired even though I have my paper from dps where I had it renewed. She said she couldn't check me out. I said this is not a traffic stop by dps and told her to get a manager since my son was getting off the bus soon and I didn't have time for this, which was some unkept kid that says sorry you're driver's license is expired I can't ring up your wine or groceries. So I get home with no food to cook for dinner and without my bottled water so therefore now my child is home from school and instead of cooking while he completes his homework we are off to Kroger and going out to dinner tonight. I live by the Walmart on 99 in Bella Terra, but before that one was built used this one exclusively. I won't again though and will be transferring my prescription out. I also used to get contacts at this location and since I have an eye exam on Saturday I'll cancel that too and go to the Walmart by my house for my exam and leave my prescription there. I barely made it home in time before my son got off the bus and then to be told I can't purchase my groceries with an expired Id, by an unkept, kid with sagging pants no thanks. I will be filing a formal complaint with the corporate Walmart against this kid and woman cashier. I was planning to pay with cash too. read more

I have to say this or it will drive me nuts. Some of my fondest memories as a child where going with my grandfather to Walmart, he would get all of us grandchildren an icee and pass out dum dum lollipops to kids. The staff was always friendly and people cared. I guess those days are long gone. It seems lately no matter what Walmart I walk into the store is dirty, the staff is rude and not knowlagble in their own departments, and there are never enough cash registrars open. I went to Walmart in Sugar Land today and was greeted by a mess of people, shelves ect. I told myself its okay it's the holidays and everyone is busy, I shopped and had to ask a sales person where an item was. They of course had no clue. Then I finish up my hunt and go to check out. A whopping 7 registrars were open not including self check out which several of those where down as well. While I'm standing in this long line, I notice 2 managers just walking around shooting the bull. That was that. I visit this Walmart several times a month and always leave mad, I refuse to be one of those people that just gripe about their poor customer service, dirty bathrooms, dirty store, and flat out rude cashiers and workers. I will say its not the employees fault that they work for a company that pays them crap wadges and works them to death, I would be saddened too. However, they need to be happy they have a job in these economic times. I do fully blame the Walmart Corporation for their lack of caring about their customers and staff. I will no longer be gracing my presence in this Walmart or any other. Target just gained a new full time customer. And for the other people that complain about how crappy Walmart is please join me in the protest to no longer shop there. If enough people stand behind this they will be forced to shut their doors just like K-Mart. They need to get their stuff together and listen to the people that pay their pay checks. Then and only then will I even consider walking back in and giving them my hard earned money. read more

THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE!!! I'm not impressed with the store itself especially their limited vegetable, meat, and seafood section or the employees who act like they're at home yelling across the registers to talk to each other while they have a long line of customers to check out. The very WORST part of the store is the tire lube express center. I will never get my oil changed there again! the employees were standing around talking with one another while I stood outside waiting to get my ticket and tell the what kind of oil change I wanted. Then the lady inside said who told me my car was ready and collected the payment for my oil change couldn't find my keys, then I turned out my car wasn't ready cause the forgot to do something. When I asked her twenty minutes later if it was ready she said she didn't know and told me to go ask somebody out in the garage. I get in my car and there is oil or grease on my steering wheel and door handle. JUST TERRIBLE. Its like the managers never go back there to check on their employees. It was a ZOO! read more

As far as Walmart goes , this location is the best of the lot. They seem to not have a lot of turnover because I recognize most cashiers and greeters. This location is well stocked and caters pretty well to the culturally mixed area. The fabric area is back, which is great for my daughter. The produce and meat is expensive and in the past I had some trouble with their price matching policy. It really depends on the cashier and shift managers because sometime you will get rejected but a different cashier will match the price. Like most Walmarts, if the item exist, it's in that store somewhere. Good luck finding someone to help you find it, though. Great Value generic are indeed a great Value. It is the one thing that keeps me coming back to Walmart. The "ambiance", lighting and "decor" is atrocious and the lines are always long (even though there is 40+registers) . After all these years, you would think they would know the rush and flow of customers and staff accordingly to avoid long lines and slow customer service but...no. It is the only game in town that you can grocery shop, get your car fix, nails done, photos taken, have "lunch", redo your lawn, get your hair done and get you meds... With all those services and minimum wage pay... service is bound to suffer. You get what you pay for. read more
