Beer and pinball. Pretty good combination. Plus some great tunes playing. They have a nice selection of craft beers and a few wines. As for food, there's hot dogs, pretzels, and chips. This is a chill little neighborhood bar in Eagle Rock. Great place to have some beers with friends and play some old school pinball machines. Inside is cozy and retro cool. Can get crowded pretty quickly but there are some benches outside for extra space. The bartenders are really friendly. It's a great atmosphere. I'll be coming back for sure. read more

Had a great night the vibe was on point the bar tenders were extremely nice, but seemed kinda over worked. The whole night they were running back and forth. The only thing that ruined our night was the door guy. One of my girls was getting bother and we tried to call him over multiple times but he was just listening to music. Not sure what was going on. I was really looking forward to coming here. Walked in and sat down at a nearly empty bar. Bartender didn't acknowledge me, said nothing. I scanned the menu and decided what I wanted. Was looking at the bartender, who was busying herself and then walked over to take an order from 2 people who came in after me. They were having card problems, but she just stood there, still not even glancing my direction. 2 more people walk in and stand right beside me, and scan the menu with their phone. Bartender walks right over to them and asks if they have any questions. I'm looking at her this whole time. It's been about 10 minutes by this point. I just got up and left. Guess I don't fit the clientele. Won't be back. Mediocre beer list anyway and limited pinball games. There are certainly better pinball bars around. read more

Showed up with my friend to show him a local spot but as we showed up a group ahead of us was served as arrived but him and me were carded and asked for vaccine cards and questioned why are mask were not on. No one else ahead of us were asked or met these standards and no other clientes had masks at this packed bar. I was told I'm good but my friend was asked to go outside to show his documents. The only difference between me an him is I am white and he was black. The only person of color was escorted out to show proof he belonged. The part that is most shameful is that is he is a healthcare provider that was considering to move here to serve this local community in its time of need and now he won't even come back to visit. This happened on Saturday so I came back by myself 2 days later and never was stopped or asked anything besides what I wanted to drink. read more

This is a fantastic place to go on a hot day to hang out for awhile and get a cold beer. They always have a great rotating beer selection and they are not shy about the air conditioning! I love pinball. So that is a big feature for me, but I do wish they would change out the machines more often. read more

This is such a cool spot! Beer, pinball, and elote pretzels - what more could ya need? On Wednesday nights they have pinball tournaments and the joint gets pretty busy but it still manages to feel chill. We will definitely be back here to hang out more, a good addition to the area! read more

This is an excellent beer & wine spot that I regularly enjoy with my husband or whomever else I happen to be on a date with. The wines are a little pricey, but they're never disappointing; the beer selection is full of local brews. The bartenders act like--and treat customers like--actual people, efficient but not automatic. I had a thing about germs even before the pandemic so I'm not about to touch the pinball machines, but they add movement and spark to an already lovely San Junipero-esque establishment. Wednesday night pinball tournaments get boisterous and are not conducive to a quiet tête-à-tête, but are excellent for people-watching. The back patio is fine for groups, but I prefer to sit at the bar and occasionally check out my beautiful face in the mirror. Probably my date is doing the same thing. read more

My favorite bar in the local Eagle Rock area second to Glendale's Dave's On Broadway. Good beer, good pinball games, good food and even greater staff. Just a fun place for hanging or playing pinball. For a dive bar with craft beer, their prices are not particularly appealing and their menu is quite small; and their bartenders are rather distracted even when the place is empty. But it has a great vibe, and it's surprisingly quiet and cheery for a dive bar, and the fact that they have a little bit of food and some pinball machines is a nice bonus. read more

The last three times I've come here, they have forgotten to pour my beer and/or put my order in for a hot dog. Why is it so difficult to do that after an order? Literally no one else after us to order. First times this happened, twenty minutes had passed and we asked and they told us that it took seven minutes to prepare. Okay. Come back another fifteen minites later and it was still not ready. Again, the second and third time, this occurred and we got a very rude response, so much attitude, I was surprised that they were working there. Excuses that they just walked in and out that we didn't order from them so they didn't know. That's great, all you have to do is check with your coworker and then you'll put all the pieces together. I really like the concept of this place. I've been a lifelong pinball fan and I've been a fan of beer since I was a teenager so the two of the together just sound perfectly awesome. The old style decor in here is fun and I guess they serve a lot of those hot dogs in the oven according to one of the bartenders. I would never have thought. Anyway, I guess my only gripe is that some of those old pin ball games are super difficult and it's too easy for the ball to be lost on the sides. A couple of those games were designed like that (I've never played those ones before, even in the few old pin ball museums I've been to). I guess there's a reason why I haven't seen those games around. At the end of the day, this is a fun spot and I see myself coming here again in a future LA trip. read more

In addition, they also have hot dogs, which I don't see too often (outside of ballparks anyway), and a veggie dog if you prefer (I've heard it's good). There's about a half dozen brews on tap. The selection isn't spectacular, but it will do. No hard liquor if that's what you're looking for. Nightlife in Eagle Rock/Highland Park area is booming right now, so if you're in the area and like pinball, this place is worth a shot. read more

TL:DR for any pinball people passing through town en route to INDISC (or whatever): definitely try to make it here. Favorite time to pin low key : weekend afternoon around magic hour / sunset. It's usually not over crowded and the bar gets this really nice light.. when the sun sets the pinball machines start to come to life as their glow takes over the space. It's super neat. Food & drink : Beer, wine, hot dogs (vegan option), other bar snacks. I don't drink so check other reviews for selection info, but I'm all about that Topo Chico cooler . Weekly tourney : Wednesday's at 8. Check their socials to confirm. $5 entry, 3-4 way pool split. Usually 10-15 folks. 3 strike knock out. Very fun casual play, no IFPA stuff. Cool extras sometimes like this FUCKING SICK ram horn trophy they made for Halloween or their dope t-shirts. Lots of newer folks come play and it's a very welcoming vibe. People seem excited about learning the games and sometimes have questions (which I encourage you to answer, this ain't PAPA finals, kids). Despite being oriented for casual play and designed to be beginner friendly, the tourneys are consistently well run and I always have a great time. They usually wrap up around 10:30/11. Jeff (the owner / TD) operates and maintains the tables, so he's around if something goes sideways. Things usually move along at a nice pace, especially as far as pinball shit is concerned lololol Tables : .50 a credit, most games are 5-ball. Something in the lineup rotates prolly about every 3 weeks. Usually a couple EMs and then 5-6 early solid states. The lineup feels very thoughtfully curated, both aesthetically and in terms of gameplay. I really appreciate that there's often some clear ties between the machines, e.g. 2 games about dudes doing dumb stuff on two wheels (BMX and Evel Knievel), 3 tables with very different mechanical wheel awards (Bad Cats, Riverboat Gambler, Top Score), 2 very different examples of early multiball (Fireball and Xenon). Anyway, don't get it twisted this is a bar not a museum, but all the more reason the collection is a delight. They have Two Ice Cold Beers if you wanna get your climb on. Table Maintenance : A. Fucking. +. Everyday. I don't know what to say other than that these machines all look and play beautifully. Given that the newest game here is 19 years old, mechanical issues are surprisingly few and far between. It feels like there's a lot of love and care in these games. Its not a "stern circuit" kind of place, it's first and foremost a chill spot. If a drop target stops registering they're still gonna get quarters and people will still have fun. But if a drop target stops registering, they fix it quickly. It just feels like these folks love pinball. Other stuff: Everyone who works here has always been very friendly. The decor is cool, neon signs and taxidermy. The exterior is rad. The place is casual but always clean, neighborhood joint, not a dive. read more

My son is playing water polo over at Occidental College and this place was down the street. Walked in with little expectation, but man was this place pretty amazing. Ordered a hot dog and a Pilsner and they were both pretty great. Seriously, the best hot dog I've had in a long time. Atmosphere is fun too with people around you playing pinball. This place is great! The wine and beer selection is actually very good. Friendly service. But my favorite part is the campy decor, 6 gas tanks and a washer and dryer on the patio to make you feel at home. Depending where you're from. I felt like I could come, do laundry, take a gas tank for my grill and be approached with smiles and high fives. Great merch. Great people watching. Love the kitschy decor. I had a very tasty draft sour beer. My husband and I shared a yummy pretzel. The tunes were awesome (I heard Rush followed by Buck Owens). Most importantly, the bartender Erin was awesome. She was super fun to talk to and very funny. I'll be back for more kitsch and to try the pinball. This place was fantastic. We came on Friday around 2pm was hardly anyone else in here. We sat down at the bar and were promptly greeted by the gentleman with the longhair, I must say he was a sincere pleasure and made our visit that much better. We hadn't eaten all day so we were very happy to see they had some snacks to order. We ordered a hot dog & a German pretzel as well as two beers. The hot dog was delicious. The German pretzel took about 10 minutes to come out and was worth every minute of the wait. It was a great pretzel that was cooked and salted perfectly. The beers were cold and crisp. I loved the decor inside. It has this relaxing 70s vibe. Lots of fun pinball machines here too. read more
