I am really not a fan of this place. I ordered the wonton soup and the broth was fine but the wonton was full of gristle...yuck. The rice on both sushi rolls I ordered was off as well.... grainy and didn't taste right. I will not be returning. read more

Came here for my boyfriends birthday and we were only one of two tables so our food came out super fast. I ordered a dish from the menu instead of sushi, which came out before the sushi, so I was forced to stare awkwardly at my food while we waited for the other 4 people in our party to get their sushi. Definitely come here for the sushi, not the other dishes. The sushi was quite pleasant and was gone within minutes. However, I got the kung pao chicken which was extremely lackluster and had barely any chicken in it. Sad. Would come back for the sushi but that's about it. read more

we've eaten here several times, and the staff turnover is high, but usually fair to good service. I think they're understaffed, and usually aren't too busy- which is a shame. They have great potential- I've always loved what I've ordered! They aren't high-end, by any means, but the place is mostly clean. Great sushi, fair prices- great deals on the lunch menu, though! Hunan chicken and spicy tuna roll are regular orders from me. If what a prev poster said, about the house getting all the tips, is true... Shameful. That may have something to do with high turnover! I have eaten here before multiple times and I would consider it a decently priced menu for what you get. Currently the sign on the front door is asking for employment help. It might be because of the little man working at the sushi bar. My wife placed an order to go exceeding $135 this evening for Chinese food and sushi. I waited for my order on a barstool that is directly in front of entry at the sushi bar. I sat there because it was the most reasonable place for a to go order customer to sit. I hardly turned my chair to sit down. While waiting the man asked, "what's up man?" I nicely replied, "nothing, what's up man?" My order arrives and he in very ANGRY tone says, "hey can you straighten my chair back up." I apologize still not even knowing he's upset. The chair might have moved an inch off normal setting by the way. He then begins to angrily let me know he doesn't appreciate me sitting there that he owns that section and unless I'm ordering sushi from him I'm not allowed to sit there. Still confused I loudly let let the gentleman who helped me know this is the last time I will spend any money here. I check my order before coming home like usual to make sure it's correct I realize we did order from the sushi bar!! Also, we were missing a partial part of other Chinese food order. The man working in the regular restaurant side was very accommodating and apologized fixing their part of our order. He sincerely apologized for the sushi chef's behavior and was in process of making it right. So if you decide to go here, make sure and take your 1 year old to sit at his sushi station and destroy it!!! read more

Where do I begin! We just moved to Georgetown in March and I haven't been able to have sushi for 9 months since being pregnant... I have been craving some good sushi and man did I find it! From the moment we walked in Danny and Sarah were so hospitable... they treated us like family! Legit the best sushi I've had and I am a sushi snob! We tried Wasabi for the first time and we're very happily impressed! They're sushi was nice & thick and of very good quality. They had some awesome rolls too (make sure to look at the off menu rolls in their bulletin board inside the front door)! The best part was how the owners greeted us & stopped by the table, making us feel like we were over to their house for a meal instead of at a restaurant. We will definitely be back!! read more

I have eaten here a dozen times and I DON'T like to eat fish!! My wife told me since I enjoy tuna fish I must try sashimi. I learned a valuable lesson I don't like the rice and seaweed of the sushi. This is a true family-run business and it shows. From Dad who runs around when not cooking (they have a very broad menu) to Mom and daughters who wait on you with such attention sitting at a table is a delight. Our favorite is to sit at the bar and watch the creations run wild. Isreal is a master to me. We come in, shake hands, and just let it arrive. He knows what we like and things just arrive. We have entertained guests who arrived worried about what would be shared and walked away to return another day with friends and family. I have tried some of the menu items with folks who don't want to venture out and they were enjoyable as well. You can also ask for tweaks to make it special to you. This is one of two places in town we return to because of the atmosphere and quality of the food. read more

They were good when they started, but continue to get even better! Went tonight (Valentine's Day) and I was very happy to be able to get in. Not a seat left in the restaurant. It appears that our "secret place" is no longer a secret. Danny and his team make Chinese, Japanese and Sushi. I've been impressed with all that I've eaten and can't wait to get back for more. At a risk of not being able to get in sometime when I'm craving food from Wasabi - I will recommend highly that you give them a try. This is a very nice place and the staff is super friendly. We come here about once a week and the rolls are amazing we have not had the same one twice since there are so many to choose from but a couple of favorites are the Wasabi roll and the Million dollar roll is amazing. My husband and I just had dinner and it was great! We are so happy to have an Asian cuisine that serves Japanese and Chinese foods. The spicy foods had just the right amount of heat for me. The tempura veggies were not greasy and cooked to pefection. Great presentation on the sushi rolls and they were very good. The service was also good. We will return!!! read more

I give it a 3.5... Went out to eat here on the weekend to give it a try. I ordered the hibachi chicken. The soup and salad came first both at the same time. Then the food came out like 5 min later while I was still eating the soup. The dinner came with mostly a vegetable mix, and some of the pieces of chicken weren't the most fresh / best tasting. Also, there were 2 small shrimp that came with it. The rice was good since it seemed to be the most authentic fried rice I've had in TX. (I've ordered before from other places and the fried rice was just brown rice with nothing in it). Here, there were vegetables in it. The owner or another employee asked us if everything was good twice so the service was good but kinda needs a little tweaking with the timing. Overall the food was pretty good and we will def be back if we are craving Asian food. The menu had so many items. Wish they would deliver! read more
