Ordered sweet and sour chicken. Four little pieces of chicken and some fried veggies. Ramen was flavorless.

I came here six months ago and left unhappy i ordered a dish that I was unaware was on the menu twice. Regular and further down the menu spicy. The waitress brought me the spicy and I can't handle hot food. She then pointed out that it's on the menu twice as if it was my fault. Excuse me, you work there.Why would you assume I wanted the spicy and not ask? I decided to try it again yesterday. It was not very crowded so that was nice. However once our food was brought we realized that we needed salt and pepper and an extra plate for the little one . The waiter walked by us several times but would not look our way and we finally had to flag him down. Later we needed drink refills and again he passed by us like10 times and would not look our way. As he proceeded, set empty tables and clean up the tables where other customers had left. Then he went to the back and disappeared, and I finally got up and grabbed the picture and filled my own glass. The plate I ordered was $15.45 and it had way less food tha my daughter's lunch special plate which was $10.45 and came with a soup. For $15.45. I would expect to at least get full but I could have easily eaten two, possibly even three of those portions. On top of that, my food was not very good as it tasted very fishy. When I went to pay, the waiter apologized, as he explained that the manager had to leave, so it was just him. Okay. I understand that you are just one person, but the restaurant was not very busy and how about taking care of your customers first instead of setting all these empty tables and cleaning off the ones where customers had left? I understand that these things need to be done, but he could have at least looked our way and asked if we needed anything any one of the fifteen times he was walked back and forth gathering silverware and menus or taking dirty dishes to the back. He seemed to have no problem tending to the other customers in the restaurant.So i'm not sure why he was ignoring us. I definitely won't be back. read more

OMG! The food and service was amazing! My Fiancee and I found this place on Yelp, and went last Friday night. It is in a small strip mall, and almost didn't find it. But, so glad we did! It is kind of different, that they serve Chinese and Japanese food. Usually, it is one or the other. But, we can for the Sushi! We ordered a few pieces of Sushi: Yellowtail, Salmon, and Octopus! Then, we ordered two specialties rolls each. What came out, was a big boat, with all of our choices on it. Wish I had my phone, as it was picture worthy! But, we finished it all! (*On our way out, we complemented the guy behind the bar, on great cutting of fish, and the rice was "spot on", did not fall apart like some places) Only knock, was they did not have "cold" Sake, only hot. But a few concerns detracted from a positive experience. One of the rolls we ordered had completely different components than were mentioned on the menu. To be fair, the sushi chef went ahead and made us the correct item at no extra charge. The specials posted on the whiteboard in Shasta Toward we're only offered to customers seated at the sushi bar, not at the tables. The food was wonderful. We ordered wonton soup, combo fried rice, egg rolls, the tiger roll and the rocky roll. We shared each and it was delicious. The soup was the best I've tried in the area. The rocky roll was cooked perfect and the flavor was good. I loved the tiger roll. It was our favorite item. 4 out of 5 stars bc the guy taking our order didn't listen to us. We specifically asked for the rocky roll first as an appetizer and the egg roll to be served with our food. We had time to burn and wanted to take our time. Probably wouldn't look twice at this sushi place regularly, it doesn't look like much from the outside, small unassuming place in a little strip mall type center. After seeing some great recent reviews of this place we decided to try them out & I'm so happy we did! Coming from the Bay Area we are definitely spoiled with some amazing sushi spots, we can definitely be a bit snobbish when it comes to out sushi and we have no complaints about the quality & taste of this sushi the rolls were amazing & the sashimi was fresh & incredible. My family and I have lived in Japan and we can't seem to understand why this place has a lower rating than Misusushi?! In Georgetown, this is probably the best sushi you'll get. Sushi and sashimi are fresh and delicious!! I've been here about 5 times now and the quality has been great every time I came. I asked them for a customized chirashi kinda bowl for my friend's birthday and the chefs made such a beautiful presentation. Their family platter sucks mostly veggies and juice no scallops, no pork! The sushi scorpion roll was crap no crème cheese and no jalapeño. Went for a late dinner with the kiddo. She wanted sushi and sesame chicken. I'm surprised but this is the only sushi restaurant we've found in Georgetown. We had a great experience. The food was quick and fresh. The waiter was attentive. If I could give them 4 1/2 stars I would. The edamame was the only down part. It was a little water logged and not as salty as we prefer. This 5 star review is based solely on their hot n' sour soup, which is dumb, I know. But that's how good it is. It's so good, I will even refrain from making an Adam Driver "good soup" joke. Hot n' sour soup is nothing to me. It's an afterthought that comes with a meal, at best. It's something I say "i guess" to, if offered for free. Every restaurant is same ole same ole, just tangy and slimy, nothing to shake a stick at. I never would have tried this had a family member not had their wisdom teeth removed, and needed soup that day. My brother said "wow, you should really try this" and i was like ehhhh. But I obliged, and holy shit. It has a deep flavor, almost kind of smoky, along with the tangy/slimy. Super rich. Never had any kind like this before. It's not going to change your life, but it is going to make you say "wow try this!" to your friends and family. I promise. I would definitely shake a stick at this soup. I really wanted to like this place, but wow, this is some bad sushi. I heard conflicting reviews from friends-one said it was great, another said it was the worst she'd ever had. I have to agree with the latter. My sushi came wrapped in light green-colored nori-I used to live in Japan and know that this is the cheap stuff. It also tasted awful...chemical-like and strange. My husband's roll wasn't the same as what was described on the menu, and we just couldn't finish our rolls, they were so bad. Our experience at Wasabi was fantastic! So many great things, and I always appreciate good sushi. The tempura calamari was a unique play on traditional calamari breading and was a nice change of pace. An early highlight was the salad, crazy enough -- the ginger dressing is made in-house and it's fantastic, they need to bottle it! When the sushi came around, it was fresh and flavorful. Wasabi has a TON of unique rolls to choose from, and we ended up getting more than we usually do as a result. Also, I love anytime a sushi place has a "chef's choice," as it's fun to let the sushi chef prepare something for your. He created us a very unique roll that was insanely flavorful, each piece was like a mini-cevice salad! The menu is expansive, and we'll definitely be back to try some other stuff, but the sake selection is also really nice, I find it's hard to find unfiltered sake around this area, but Wasabi has several Sho Chiku Bai offerings (including house hot) and their unfiltered cloud sake is phenomenal. More importantly to me sometimes over the food is the ambiance and the experience, which was top-notch. I came in with a broken foot and the owners both happened to be working that night. We had some great conversation (which is how we figured out about the in-house dressing and such) and learned that they're family-run for nearly the past decade that they've been in operation. The waiter moved us to a different table and kind of half heartedly looked for the cockroach, though nothing else occurred and someone was seated at that table shortly after.
