Very good. Staff is very polite. Shawarma (on a plate) was really good. American and Arabic coffee was very good. Clean plates and tables.

Me, my friend and my boss decided to come for a gathering sit down the server who served our table is the most hard working guy among them ... when we had a situation with one of the servers he stepped up and took full responsibility for it and made sure that we had a great time and enjoy the rest of the evening. .. It is a really nice place, the HOOKAH is SO good, it is my best place and the workers are so respectful and cool. I like to go there with my friends every week. To be honest, no place in Houston serve the same food taste, and the dining room is so colorful, idk I just like it. last week the restaurant was crowdy and we needed a bigger table after more friends joined us, we told the waiter, then he called the manager, he was a cool guy, we got a bigger one, and the manager told us to ask him if we need anything, we had fun, it was nice day. read more

Was here on a Thursday, very loud. It's like a club. Food was good, we had the mixed grill. Overall I wouldn't repeat it again.

So I went to this place a few times and everything was good, every time on average spending an average of $45 for 2 people. And I decided to take my friends here for the first time instead of going to mawal. We waited 45 minuets for the 7 of us to be to be seated, and than we ordered 4 hookahs and a shwarma and a salad. Some guy that worked there that wasn't our waiter came to our table and told us we needed to spend $15 each person which is very unreasonable. I asked if we can talked the manger and he came to our table with a very rude attitude and basically kicked us out. Never going back to this hookah bar, there is mawal, Byblos and dandanah all less than a mile away. read more

Horrible service. Below average food. They take ages to acknowledge you. I was the only one there for an hour and had I not been waiting for a friend who recommended the place, I'd have left.... Five servers walked by me more than once and none of them even looked my way despite me saying, "excuse me," and raising my hand numerous times. Finally a young man came out and took my order which initially consisted of a sheesh and an iced tea. This tool an additional 35 minutes to bring out... In an empty place... Finally, after what seemed like a year, my friends made it profusely apologising. As soon as they came in, it's like a world of kings had arrived. The staff was fluffing about asking every two seconds if we needed anything and explaining the plain as day menus to us. Then it dawned on me... They're Middle easterners. They look the part as well. I looking nothing like anything even resembling an M.E or even Indian (which is what I am) woman. I took a look around and people had started coming in, all of which looked/appeared to be of traditional M.E descents ... I hate the race card, I feel it's a BS call... But in this case I really do feel I was overlooked due to not being a "typical middle easterner" at this place. It's a shame because the Sheesha was actually really good and I'd have gone back for that alone. The food was bland, we ordered a mixed platter consisted of chicken, beef, kabobs, rice, and fries... I asked for seasoning in the form of a hot sauce or garlic sauce ... It never came out... I asked for a refill on my iced tea, that to never made it.... The lebneh was decent. I'm so, so sad I can't give zero stars. Stars are good things. They are shiny and pretty, which on the surface Wasfi's definitely is, but once you experience it, it's like experiencing the heat death of the universe. Which, when I think of it that way, maybe I should give them *all* the stars. I used to come to this place like three or four times a week when it first opened. The food is pretty great, but the service has taken a sharp decline. I stopped going there because it got to the point that even getting new coals was like trying to wave down a blind person. The guys with the coals walk around the cafe floor non-stop, but it's like they purposefully avoid eye contact or something. How do you stand right next to my table and then not hear me when I ask for coals multiple times? There are always 10-15 employees on staff at any given time, but they all just stand around and talk and none of them seem to actually do their jobs. The previous general manager made an effort to come talk to each table and check on how things were and make small talk, and he's just super friendly. I hadn't been in in a while, and I saw him out at another hookah place and he asked why I hadn't been in, so I decided to give it another go. I specifically went there the other day because I really wanted their food. Well, as it turns out, that man doesn't work there anymore. There is a new manager, and she's barely competent enough to tie her own shoelaces it would seem. In two hours I was served exactly twice. And my table was being served by the general manager herself! She took our hookah order and I asked for more time to decide on food, but an hour and a half passed before she came back, at which point I asked for the check. I went to use the bathroom at one point, and despite the fact that there are stalls in the restroom, the main door to the restrooms was locked. After I informed an employee she knocked on it, and it turns out there was another employee in there doing her makeup. The bathroom had obviously just been cleaned, because the seats were up and the floors were wet, but there was no toilet paper. I asked if one of the girls could go get some, and they rolled their eyes before sighing loudly and going to retrieve it. Then they stayed in the bathroom and whispered to one another the whole time I was in there. And when I went to wash my hands the girl who was doing her makeup was blocking the sink because apparently it was really important that she brush her hair in front of the mirror right then. I left my phone number with her (I was only able to do this *after* I stood and waited for her to stop chatting with an employee for about five minutes) and asked that the owner give me a call, and I have yet to hear from them. I am so very disappointed as this place has competitive pricing on hookah, and I really like their flavors. I will definitely not ever be going back to this restaurant, as I'm pretty sure I could receive better service from trained sea creatures. read more

The design and atmosphere is great. However there good was mediocre. I ordered the beef tips & they were extremely over cooked. The humus okay okay as well. I enjoyed the refreshing mint lemonade slush! The slush tasted just a lime a mojito without the alcohol. read more

Cons: Service is non-existent or very bad at best. Mansef on Friday is nasty. They through a piece of bland meat on a bowl of white rice next to a bowl of badly cooked yogurt and they call it Mansef. Note: You want a fabulous Mansef, go to Sayad Grill. I had it there many times and it's always a 10, consistently. It's rich and flavorful but that's how Mansef should be like, it's not just white rice and boring meat with no flavor. Pros: Baba Ghanouj is best in Houston, period. Bread is fresh and good. Super chill restaurant with an authentic feel and delicious food that comes in large portion sizes. Wouldn't recommend going just for the hookah, but if you're already there it's a good add on to a meal. I only wish the staff were a little more approachable and came by the table more often, but overall the service was efficient...o and there's free wifi! read more

The atmosphere is as lovely as ever, but better than that is the service. Nice and very friendly staff with delicious food made authentically. I love this place and I hang out there often. There is a lot of room for improvement, love the place but it's bad service is noticeable for many people, it is a bit pricy for the small portions that they offer specifically the hommous, so thinly spread on the plate, it is embarrassing. I wonder if the owner really reads the posts. It is a problem when there is no fine line between the employees and the customers. Best of luck for better changes. It seems they are all chiefs and no Indians. It needs a complete make over as far as customer service attitude and mostly it needs new staff. read more

Thought this would be a happening place after work for happy hour but it was dead at 7pm. We sat down for dinner and ordered a couple dishes and didnt realize that they were charging $1 for bottle water that wasnt even cold. I noticed the waiter pouring ice cold glasses of water on empty tables and asked if I could get a cold glass of water as well, but he told me that it was only for the buffet...? My friends and I were shocked. The buffet was possibly less than the dinner plates that we ordered but so why couldnt we get an ice cold glass of water? Then when the bill came, they added gratuity to our bill and we only had three people and the menu stated gratuity automatically added to parties 5 or more. He wouldve gotten more tip if he allowed us to leave it instead of automatically adding it to our credit card bill. I would rate this zero stars if it would let me. The food wasnt bad but it wasnt good either. I think I was just really hungry after a long days work. The strawberry juice was more than a beer. Highly recommend to stay away from a place that doesnt even offer free water. I guess they have to pay for the huge hookah room they just renovated somehow. "2thumbsdown" read more

Wasfi's grill & hookah is the best in Houston. The food is incredibly amazing tasty and fresh and so authentic. The service is quick I never wait more than 5 minutes. All the staff are so friendly and care about the customers. The manager here is wonderful he keeps this place In tip top shape and makes everyone feel at home. He is the most kind hearted person I've ever met. That's why I will never stop coming here I highly recommend this place for everyone.
