Came in to get a battery replacement on my favorite Movado watch. It was strange that it stopped working when I replaced the battery only 8 months ago, which I had taken to a Movado store at the mall. The Watch Doc owner was super responsive and friendly and pointed out that the previous shop placed an incorrect battery which is most likely why it stopped working. (Again disappointing considering the Movado store should have placed the correct battery of their product and they had charged me more than double to a battery replacement). Watch Doc gave the flat rate of $25 and service was fast So I will be coming back to the Watch Doc for my watch needs :) read more

My wife's Bulova watch battery died a couple years ago, and she made no mention of it. She just stashed it away. Finally she asked me to get it replaced for her. So I turned to Yelp to see who would be best to do it in my area. The first Yelp search result was Watch Doc. So I sent an estimate and availability request to this business. I also checked the little box on Yelp to send the same request to other businesses nearby to get additional price quotes. Watch Doc responded 1st, almost immediately. Their price was the second lowest I found in the area, but they were available right then. So I went there based on everyone else's wonderful Yelp reviews. Plus, the lowest estimate I received wasn't that much lower, was closed that day, and further away. With gas prices as they are, paying a little more for a nearby business who could do it right then was worth it. He quoted me 10-15 minutes to get it done. Upon entering, I was promptly greeted. He took a glance at my wife's watch, knew it was me from Yelp, brought it to his workbench, and had the battery swapped inside 3 minutes. This guy was really quick! So I paid him $20 out the door for the battery and installation (2024 money) using my credit card and was quickly on my way back home. Needed to get my watch fixed, was told at the mall kiosk I needed a new movement for it which would cost around $200. I went for a second opinion with Tom at Watch Doc and he was wonderful!! He first said he would change the battery and then he cleaned the inside of it for me, kept it for a couple weeks to keep an eye on it. Then when he called me with an update he said watch works fine, no need for a new movement, that the new battery along with the cleaned out inside watch is good to go. I recently purchased a "vintage" Seiko watch from a secondhand store that was supposedly functional but just needed a battery. My mom initially took the watch to a different watch store where they told her that the watch wasn't able to run and was a dud and that there was no point in changing the battery. But I was determined to find a second opinion and stumbled upon the Watch Doc. Within minutes of examining the watch, he determined that the watch face had some humidity damage and that's why it wasn't running smoothly. I can't remember his name, but he checked out my wall clocks and adjusted them for free- The first place I stopped at wanted FOURTY FIVE dollars to even test them, which I wouldnt get back if they couldn't fix it!! With a deposit, he will let you do a few payments over ab six weeks, which I am so grateful for. The same previous store i stopped at said they were no parts to fix my dad's watch- watch doc needed some time to do the work, but there was never any doubt that he could fix it. Thomas diagnosed, dissected and performed recommended servicing and replacement to my precious vintage Omega in the same manner as any heart surgeon would. Impeccable repair, cleaning and replacement of parts assured me of maintaining the piece's value. Thomas is awesome! Knowledgeable and fast. My watch hands stopped moving because the trim from my date tracker was interfering. I was going to ask him to glue the trim back on but in his good judgement he advised me that glue would react badly with the black paint on my watch face.
