I had planned to install a regular tank heater because my home was built in 1941, and I didn't think the infrastructure would support a tankless heater. Hi, I meant to update my review sooner. Though i was originally disappointed, i did receive a call back from the manager. He was very courteous and apologetic and I found that incredibly refreshing. Again it's a service industry and especially in these tough economic times, i think it's important to not be so rigid in a company's policies (except of course for health). They offered to work with me and i was pleased with their proposal, however by this point i had hired a contractor who had previously done some work for me. But had he not been available, i would have used Water Heaters Only. This is based on my phone conversation with Water Heaters Only, as they refused to come out and even look at my non-functioning water heater. My water heater stopped working earlier in the week, GE sent me a replacement part assuring me that it could be installed by me with a screwdriver, and after I was unsuccessful I called Water Heaters Only. They told me that they will not touch a water heater that has been worked on by a non-professional, even after I said that I would pay them just to come look at it. Their website says they are a "full service water heater repair, replacement and installation company", but it seems they only selectively choose their customers. read more

A broken water heater sucks! It's affect dominos through out the day. Monday, 2/22/16, We were referred to this company through our homeowners insurance, so there was no choice in the matter. The service made an appointment for the next afternoon 2/23/16 (between 4pm-8pm), a little late in the day but acceptable. The tech, Thomas, called just after 4pm to tell us his location and his approximate arrival. He called again to announce his arrival. He called into his office, approx 5pm, and we heard that he was given the option to reschedule for the next day. He declined their offer and got right to work. Our tankless water heater gave out. Called the next morning and Mike arrived within an hour or two. He was very friendly and helpful. Great service! Would definitely recommend. UPDATE: I feel like I need to revise my review. While I am still happy with the quality of the installation and the friendliness of the service, we were informed that by installing a tankless water heater, we would be able to get 1) a rebate from SoCalGas and 2) a credit on our federal tax returns. Neither is accurate. The rebate from SoCalGas only applies if you are replacing a conventional tank-type water heater and the federal tax credit expired in 2016. While I don't believe the service representative intentionally misinformed me, I expect them to know better before using this information to help "close the deal" on a potential sale. read more

We came home on a Saturday night after 8 days on the road to a puddle of water outside our house. I called in later on an afternoon conversation initially went real well, until I was told that the cost replace a 30 gallon water heater after normal hours would be 2500. I had to turn them down and then the price was miraculously lowered to 2000. I thanked him and said no thanks. Next day I got a text trying again to hook me which I ignored. I was able to send someone over next day they replaced a thermo coupler and the total cost to me was $150. While it seems many have posted positive comments. Somehow I started this back in July 2016, but never posted it. The morning of the 4th of July 2016, I went into my garage to find my water heater leaking like the Titanic. It was about 15 years old. I called the number on the sticker attached to the water heater, on the first ring, at about 8AM, on the 4th of July, a voice answered... "Water Heaters Only, can I help you?" I said, wow you are open, he said of course. I explained my situation, gave him some info he needed, and I had a technician at my house in 2 hours installing a new water heater. No additional charge for it being a holiday, The technician was great, I felt bad he was working on the 4th of July, but he was very pleasant, and friendly.
