Went for oktoberfest. Had a great time until a bouncer came and took my vape and told me we weren't allowed to use so I was going to be kicked out. If you can believe it, this place has worse service than the sports bars on stone street (becketts, etc.). The worst customer service in our area AND they apply an automatic 20% tip. The servers are not clever enough to figure out that if they just brought people MORE DRINKS, they would automatically make MORE MONEY. The mixed drinks are gross (we tried the dark & stormy and the margarita). The sell them as fresh drinks but they taste far from fresh. In fact, ours were undrinkable. Stay safe and order wine or beer. The food is OK. Its ball-park quality. They have a good selection. Among other items, we ordered the guac & chips (the serving of guac was the size of a side at chipolte) and the chips were stale. To their credit, they took them off the bill. The chicken fingers were OK. The grilled cheese was OK, etc. etc. Bottom line. Go here ONLY FOR THE VIEW and be aggressive when ordering DRINKS. read more

Came here because my roommates and I were really in the mood for that biiiig mermaid drink. We all got some food, and the five of us split the siren drink (114oz margarita for $80). It is quite a lot of alcohol and definitely did it's job, even with five of us splitting one. The food wasn't that outrageously priced - I had a $10 veggie burger and then an $8 corona on top of the siren. The view was pretty, and the bill was steep but not too bad. Only docking stars because service was very slow. Had we not been drunk, we definitely would have been seriously annoyed by the lack of attention the waiters paid us, but our intoxication allowed us to ignore this. The food also did not seem to be that fresh at all, like they threw together some frozen food on the grill. Overall, we had a great time here and will most likely come back. read more

The lobster roll looked like it was for a child, not even a normal size portion for an adult. The service was not attentive and was very slow. My daughter as a few friends celebrated her 16th birthday in a glass house. AMAZING. Experience! They had a blast! Loved the cheese fondue and s'mores and said it was very instagrammable. After sunset, it was magical. We had a mishap with double tipping and management immediately rectified it which I was VERY GRATEFUL. Unlike some of the other reviews, we found the service and the food acceptable. My wife had the lobster sandwich, I had a burger and both were just fine. The staff was accommodating when we moved from the outside into the bar. The view, at the end of the pier is superb. The reason I've withheld a star is that the place is just not comfortable. The outside tables have only benches, and the indoor seating at the bar, is on stools at a narrow counter. The lack of a bathroom is a real downer as there was a line at the public bathroom a few hundred feet down the pier. Come for the view! read more

I threw a COVID safe surprise 30th birthday party at this bar and it was great. Celine was extremely helpful throughout the whole planning process and they were very careful and safe, taking all the necessary restrictions to make sure we all felt comfortable and had fun. It is too crowded, beer is nasty and the food is disgusting. $18 for one pretzel that tastes like it came out of a freezer. No authentic German food. Well I just experienced something I've NEVER experienced before. So on my lunch break I ask my boss about a good place for buffalo wings by the water. She suggested your restaurant. So I seat at the bar order food and drink and the bartender slim guy with very long tells me me total. Well I'm confused because 1st I never recieved my drink or food. I ask is that the normal thing for me to pay 1st before recieving my food. He says yes with a slight attitude. I blow it off. ( work as bartender and server for 6yrs we all have bad days) I give him my card ( to leave it open)and go use the restroom come young lady ask if I was being help fletcher know that I order a beverage with the gentleman. So I ask her if it's the policy when a customer who is staying in the restaurant to pay for their food 1st before getting it. She tried to give me some stupid ass excuse about a policy that didn't make sense. I left. Ran into my boss ask her if she and my other coworkers that go there to dine in pay 1st before getting their food. AND GUESS WHAT HER ANSWER WAS? HELL NO. My company has well over 1000 employees. I will make sure I tell everybody I know not to come here. I dare you treat me this way. read more

I was so disappointed in my experience at the Watermark. I went for brunch with my boyfriend and paid $50 (ridiculous) to reserve a spot there. We got there, and it was empty! They have no business charging people money just to reserve their spot. I checked their social media and website beforehand, both of which made it seem like a gorgeous spot to go during the holiday season. We showed up and it just looked run down and not at all what we expected it to be. The waiter and hostess were nice enough, but not great, and the atmosphere overall was just not worth the pricey brunch. The food was okay, and the drinks were so expensive and just not worth it. They also served everything on paper plates and gave us plastic silverware. I am so upset that I wasted money here and I will not be returning. read more

The only reason they get 2 stars is because the drinks were decent. Subpar I would say. The service on the other hand was atrocious. Not only was our waiter inattentive and no where to be found, he was SLOW when we did need something. We wanted to order the guacamole and chips but my companion has celiac disease and so we asked if the tortilla chips were corn or flour.... his response was, "yes." So we again had to clarify our question- were the chips corn or flour? He answered with corn but it was very obvious he was just guessing. When they came out to the table (after a considerable amount of time) they were most definitely flour. Had to send them back due to her allergy. That could have been avoided if he had gone back to the kitchen to ask. Now here's the cherry on top- our check was $82 and we asked him to split it between two cards. He didn't and charged one of the cards the whole amount. Not wanting to deal with him any longer I just Venmoed my companion my half. This morning I log into my banking app and see that my card (the one we thought was uncharged) had been charged $41... while my companions card was charged the full $82. So they double charged us. Now I have to go through the hassle of contacting my bank to have the charge removed. I am still trying to figure out how he was able to do this- I have worked in a restaurant before and know how the computer systems work, and know that this shouldn't have been able to happen. There is one way I came up with that he could've masterminded this whole plan but I am struggling to believe he is that smart. Either way, I won't be back for fear of being double charged and having to suffer through less-than-legendary service. read more

We will start with the location, AMAZING! One of the nicest spot in the city. By the water and view over Brooklyn. Cant be better!!! WRONG!!!! I don't remember when was I dining in a place that the food was soooooo bad. I don't know where to start! Beef was over cooked (burned). Chess fondue was made from a cheap over the shelf instant box...... everything was just poor. Was celebrating my daughter B'day so did not say anything. For dessert we were charge 20% service fee (5 people). I booked a 10 person glass house that was no different from the 2 person glass house except in price. which is ridiculously high for no reason. first off there's nothing glass about the house. It's all plastic. you freeze with the little tiny baby heater. The bench is hard and small. Very unsafe to sit on because it moves all over the place. The menu is only appetizers & the dining utensils are the cheapest they come. Literally! You can't even enjoy the view because the plastic is so foggy. And for me you can't put a price on amazing food and service. But this is Not worth it. read more

this place ruined my christmas experience basically. first of all, it overpromised the whole "interactive experience". after entering the area, the vibe is barely scratching the christmas surface. without any activity, the waiter led you straight into your greenhouse which honestly is super stuffy and uncomfortable. I would say the experience is more like a stuffy dollhouse rather than a greenhouse and you feel locked in. the server only show up when they first took your order and when they want to sell you something, other than that they don't really check on you. the drinks my party ordered was super average but they are charging premium price which is ridiculous. Finally, the free s'more that comes with our entrance fee was not even enough for us, we ended up having to take the leftover crackers from another table to survive the experience. We had a fantastic company party at the Watermark! There were a couple other company outings happening at the same time, but the setup was great - each group had their own private area sectioned off. The setting is gorgeous too, it's right on the water with an unbeatable view of the Brooklyn Bridge. The restroom was a little awkward and far away, but with a location like this, you can't really care too much. The bartenders and wait staff were amazing! Josh was hilarious, just so great! And even though they were super busy with all the parties going on, the bartenders were attentive and very friendly. They also did a great job on the drinks! We had an open bar all night and the drinks were strong the whole time! The food was also constantly replenished. read more

There was only one server for the entire place, so we had to go back in every time we wanted another drink. Found a hidden GEM! It's right on the water with amazing views of Brooklyn and the Brooklyn Bridge. I went there with a couple of Friends last Friday and sat at the bar. Lorenzo was bartending and he was absolutely great, full of energy and laughs. Drinks were on point, and they had one of my favorite beers on tap. This is a review for Watermark's management in general and for Oktoberfest. First of all, the security personnel at the event were rude as hell. Telling us to "get the F out of his way" and saying things like "I don't care what you do, stop blocking my f-ing path" since we were standing near the entrance waiting for our party of 10 to all arrive for 10 minutes. I believe there are less rude ways to tell people to stand aside. Second, I had paid for a VIP entrance/reserved table for Oktoberfest for my birthday. The weather forecast said that there would be a thunderstorm that evening, so I talked to someone in management that morning asking If there would be covering. He kept repeating that the event would be rain or shine, but that there would only be umbrellas at the table (no roof/full rain covering). Even though I was skeptical, since he kept repeating "event is rain or shine", I showed up to the event with my party of 10, and AT THE DOOR they told us they stopped making food because of the rain and that we were guaranteed to get wet, so they offered us a refund. Fine, but why couldn't they have told me when I contacted them that morning instead of repeating "event is rain or shine"? My birthday party was ruined because of this, and I was had to find another bar on a Saturday night that could seat a party of 10 without a reservation. Honestly such a terrible experience with them and I would not recommend this place for any event they host in the future. read more

This place has some nerve, just about stole my credit card. Accidentally left my card there Sunday evening after forgetting to take it out of the checkbook so I called about picking it up while it still during business hours. They were able to tell me they had my card however gave me a hard time on the phone about me getting it back, not cool but ok. Decided to go down there to try and get it, also while still during listed business hours. They were somehow able to know they had my card but refused to give it back. I was told "calm down and leave" by the three people working there. Upon stating calmly once again that I just want my credit card back as I don't live in the city and am unable to come pick it up at a later time, the guy cleaning glasses said to me "the manager is gone, we can't give you your card back, now leave before I make you leave". All I wanted was my card back, not to be threatened by anyone. My friend who was with me watched this all go down too. Totally just unacceptable. Had a nice time here earlier with some friends but this just soured my whole day. Cancelled the card, new one on its way. Thanks for the inconvenience Watermark, I won't be back. read more
