The only thing watermark has going for itself is the view, the view is great. However, service leaves much to be desired. We first got skipped over for our table (which to the hostess credit, they sat us asap after realizing skipping us), then only after ordering our drinks were we notified that half the menu was sold out. It took us 4 times to ask for water before receiving it (we had to go through another server) and one of our apps came after we asked for the check. The manager comp'd us for the late app but with all things considered, we would not return. Better off ordering some things from the smorgs vendors on Fulton and taking it to the pier. And a bit on the pricey side (even for the view). read more

We couldn't be happier with the Watermark Bar!! We have hosted our Bridges Ride for Autism charity event here for the past two years. Our participants couldn't say enough about how amazing and gorgeous the location was! The Watermark went above and beyond to donate drinks and ice to all of our riders and walkers. Josh was there every second of the way making sure we had everything we needed and that the event went along smoothly. We are so grateful he was there - he's the best! We even hung out after the ride for some celebratory drinks and food - everything was delicious! It's a hidden gem in NYC - we will definitely be back very soon!! read more

I came here for lunch and I had Pat La Frieda Wagyu Hamburger and the Spiked Lemonade and it was pretty good. The waiters could have been a bit more welcoming but in their defense there were only two waiters working that day so they were probably overwhelmed. Octoberfest was MAD this year. This was our first time on the Pier, and our firt time here. We had a great time at Watermark; as busy as it was, everybody was friendly, and the lines moved pretty quickly - the food was good, and the BEER WAS GREAT. The Mc was funny and up, and the servers and pourers were friendly. II've checked out the menut, and this seems to be a class act. We'll definitely be back when the pier quiets down a little. The worst service ever! The place is not that big and they have plenty of waiters but for some wierd reason everything took for ever!!!! We waited 1.5 hrs for our food!!! The only thing i would recomend is having a beer, enyoing the view and then leaving!! Bathroom is another nightmare,.. Just one toilet,... In another area/bldg ,... Open to the public,. Absolutely horrible service despite having a great location. My guest and I waited for over an hour for drinks (including a can of beer). The restaurant and bar were out of half of the things on the menu, and the staff seemed to have no idea what was going on. One server walked around for 15 minutes trying to figure out who ordered chips (no one claimed them), while food for everyone else just sat under the warmers. It took 10mins to get the bill. We asked the waiters n each of them walked right by us. When we were able to ask a waiter he forget about us about never came back. went to seaport to go on dinner cruise, and we had couple hours to wait so we decided to have a few drinks and found the watermark. what a view and the drinks and food were awesome. i cant say enough about how pleasant josh was,it didnt even seem real what a sweet guy he was and not only to us but everyone he was in contact with. it was around 4pm and he mentioned that hes been at work since 5am i couldnt believe how cherry he was, i figured he just started his shift, i live on long island and will go out of my way to revisit the water mark . hope josh is their when i do. read more

Was at Watermark to celebrate two of my friend's birthdays! So, we had a nice size crowd which took up most of the indoor bar space. Once there were seats available outside on the deck area we hustled to grab the tables and enjoy the summer weather. The bartenders were quick, knew their drinks and food! They keep it basic but well executed. It was crowded so it too a minute to get food service outdoors! I loved the #strawberrycider and #strawberryale! I wanted to try something new! HORRIBLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! Pictures are a false advertisement!!! DO NOT BE FOOLED!!!!! We were just here 2 days ago for Valentine's Day and it was absolutely horrid. We even had to use the public nyc bathrooms because they couldn't even open their own restaurant bathroom to us, after it costing us so much damn money! Can you believe it costs $300 to just rent the "glasshouse cabin" which is actually just a small little glass hut with the same picnic tables and plastic table cloths they use for their beer fest they have during the summer!!!! Luckily the service wasn't as bad. Our waitress was very nice and food was pretty good so that's the only reason why I'm even giving a one star rating. But that is about the only good thing because they even have cheap little heaters that barely work so we were frozen!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!! The greens was sooooo beautiful in comparison to this experience. Thankfully I even had something to compare it too. We spent way less money to rent their (the greens pier 17) heated cabin which infact is a reallllll heated cabin not like this garbage we had to experience. Smfh you have to do better!!! read more

The only benefit of this place is the location. They were short staffed, which I understand sucks. It started out reasonable, drinks and food came out fast. Most of the food was unimpressive and like a high school cafeteria. Don't order the fish and chips. They were awful. Took over 45 minutes to get the check after asking for it several times. Server was overwhelmed and crying, but the manager was unhelpful to her and made her job harder rather than helping. Not worth it. read more

Went recently for Pete Tong so I am not sure how it is for a regular day/night. I enjoyed the located because it sits out on the water. When I was there the weather was absolutely gorgeous so we couldn't have asked for a better day to be outside. We were able to sit at what I assume are bottle service benches but no bottle were being served that day. I found the place to be pretty small. Way smaller than I anticipated. The sound system was ok not anything to write home about. The overall vibe was "meh" this is ok. Not a bad place would probably be better for just hanging out and not going to see a dj or anything. Just a not the indoor bar is small so only go when the weather is going to be good and you can be outside the whole time. read more

Very disappointed with this place . We make a reservation for Valentine's Day . It was 2 hours reservation which we paid $250 for . After 1 hour we were asked to leave because a man said that there is people waiting for this table , we didn't realize that it's only one hour left so because we didn't even finished eating panini we ordered we asked if we can get box for the food , the man was very upset and rude and keep saying we have to leave because there is people waiting and we can take our food and wrap it out outside. We politely ask if he can bring something anyway , he left very mad and bring us some boxes keep saying we have to go . So we left . Leaving $ 550 for 4 panini's, beer and money for reservation. On the way back home we realized that they kick us out at 5 pm vs 6pm as suppose to. Guys , $550 is not worth it for some starters, 3 paninis and 3 beers that you need to finish up within 1 hour . Time Mismanagement and rude waitress in not worth it your time and money . I have to admit that the person who serve our food was a nice guy and that's the only positive thing that I can say about this place . read more

I ate at the Watermark yesterday (12/26). The cabin is a tight fit for 4 people though they did have larger cabins that appeared to fit 10. We had actual menus. I would have preferred ordering via an app or QR code to eliminate contact w/menus that others have touched. The tables had tablecloths but ours had not been wiped down as there was salt all over them. Luckily, we had our own disinfecting wipes and wiped down the tables. The food came quickly and was tasty. The cabin had a heater that did the trick and the fact that we had an afternoon rsvp on a sunny day helped too. The greenhouse also had a hatch that could be opened for add'l ventilation but ours had been damaged by Thursday's high winds and wouldn't stay open. The server was very attentive and checked on us a number of times while there. The bathrooms are in a separate building and there are only 2 of them. I have also eaten nearby at the Greens on Pier 17 and would recommend them as the cabins are much roomier and include an air purifier as well as heater and use a QR code to direct you to a website for ordering. read more

This bar is not ready to be opened. They have utensils and condiments at the tables, but when you sit down the waitstaff arrives and says they are only selling beverages. After having a few beverages...you ask to use the bathroom, and they tell you to go to the hornblowers bathroom two doors down. When you get there you are told their bathroom is out of order as it has no light bulb (how difficult is it to put in a light bulb). They then direct you to the public Seaport bathroom used by everyone including the homeless population. Please don't open until you are ready to properly service your patrons. read more

We live in the neighbourhood and went there for a cheap and fast outdoor dinner getting away from the asphalt heat. The place is cool with spectacular views. Ordered a double burguer and chicken sandwich with drinks. They didnt even asked how we liked the meat cooked. The burguer came kind of rare and with stinky smell. The price was expensive for what we ate and the food quality very poor. Didnt enjoy the dinner at all. Service was horrible, waiters without anyexperience. And they were a bunch of them, but just talking to each other... While we were waiting for the food we were reading the reviews, and coudnt believe them. Now I understand everyone complaining about the place. They should be all fired. Is a pitty such a nice place ran by a bunch of incompetents... We won't go back until the review average climbs to 4 star or they change the owners/staff. Food is not good either and overpriced. Shame... read more

I had such a supremely terrible experience here that it moved me to make an account. I was in the area and stopped by on Saturday, 4/19. By the way the staff was acting, you would've thought the place was slammed with people. I've worked in restaurants and seen plenty worse. Basically: I ordered food to go, waited half an hour. When I confronted the manager trying to handle the package of food tickets he pulled out of his pocket, they realized they had lost our ticket. He rushed the cook to make our order. When it came out, some other girl claimed she had ordered the same thing before me, so they gave it to her instead (I watched her order after I did...). After some discussion, I just let it go and asked them to make my order again. They did, but when it came out, it was wrong. My girlfriend and I were so sick of it, but hungry enough at this point to just eat and leave. Probably the worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant and the staff couldn't have cared to try to make it better. I won't be surprised if this place goes under due to it's inability to retain a single customer. If it survives, it will be due to tourists coming through once and leaving. read more

I don't think there's any other place like this in New York. A glass box right on the waterfront with outdoor seating and a sleek bar inside. You can't take your drinks with you out to the lounge chairs further down, but after filling up on burgers and frozen margaritas, they're an easy stumble away to digest for a bit while the sun sets. read more
