Hotel food is often a risk, but the pictures looked enticing. It's a low budget operation with pictures that don't reflect the food. We had tacos, mac n cheese, steak, pulled pork among us. The tater tots were the highlight. The broccolini was a little raw but that's better than overcooked. Steak was well done when we asked for medium. I could see the dry sinews from my seat next to it. Mac n cheese was bland at best w undercooked pork belly overload, tacos were ok, but betting it's gonna be a belly-bomb. It's a hotel next to the airport and we didn't want airport food. I stay at the Radisson PDX multiple times per month. Lakeside Grill used to have a great menu, now? not so much. For some reason, they have decided to remove the most popular item (pork tacos), as well as several other delicious offerings from the menu. I was sitting at the bar a couple months ago and I already knew what I wanted to order, I haven't needed a menu in a very long time. So I ordered the tacos only to be told that they no longer have them, very disappointed, oh well, so I order my other go to, chopped salad, add grilled chicken, nope, off the menu. The bartender said everyone was upset about it, and the other regular patrons at the bar couldn't understand it either. Sounds like the chef has decided to change the menu, but all he did was remove items, and added some disgusting chicken and rice dish. This is a total shame as the restaurant was the only reason to stay at the Radisson as opposed to other hotels near the airport. I have changed my company's travel hotel to the Sheraton, and couldn't be happier, the restaurant is fantastic with a great menu the rooms are updated, prices are the same, no reservation needed for the shuttle, and it isn't in a shady area. I'm sorry Radisson, but you have lost several rooms a month, perhaps you should bring in a new head chef to turn things around, your current menu is one step above cafeteria food and I feel bad for the flight crews that have no choice. read more

There's no pictures of chicken fingers for the reviews so I had to just post! The chicken fingers are huge! The perfect serving. It had a good crust to them and well seasoned. It was like an Italian herb panko seasoning. Comes with ketchup, ranch and bbq sauce. I didn't really want all the extra carbs so I substituted some Brussels sprouts for the fries for an extra $3. Brussels sprouts are sautéed in butter, garlic, and honey mustard. It's delicious. If your a crew member you get a pretty good discount. I highly recommend this meal! read more

We were staying in the hotel before frying out so we decided to try the restaurant. Due to health restrictions, Covid, they had limited space available so we did have to wait but we were able to just give them our room number and they called when the table was ready. The menu isn't huge but worked. I ordered a salad with grilled chicken. I got the salad and they had forgotten the chicken, but before I could mention it the chicken was on the table with an apology. The food was great as was the poor overworked staff. Totally will visit again if we are anywhere close. read more

The excellent food was unfortunately overshadowed by an incredibly rowdy and vulgar bar crowd that completely invaded the dining room. On this Friday night, the bar transformed into a frat house, complete with loud yelling, obscenities, and a total disregard for other patrons. The bartender/waitress seemed to be friends with the obnoxious group. She was laughing and joking with them as they cursed and disrupted the entire restaurant. No effort was made by her to manage the noise or consider the experience of other diners. This lack of professionalism was truly astounding. The noise level was so high that it was difficult to hold a conversation without shouting. Given this is an airport hotel, many guests are business travelers or families who need a quiet, relaxing meal, not a loud college bar. Diamond hair December 28, 2022. The time it took from when we placed our order to when we received our food was 58 minutes. When we arrived at the restaurant, it was roughly 7 PM and there were three tables occupied with only couples. There were two tables that had not received their food when we ordered so the restaurant was not that busy. The waitress said that they were slow due to having a new cook. I can only rate the nachos as that's what I ordered. They use white beans, avocado and kalamata olives along with the tastiest green salsa I've ever had (not a fan of, normally). This has been one of the yummiest nachos I've had. We came around 10pm and only 2 others were there with their food. I began to wonder why nachos took longer than I'm used to but it was worth the wait. They use real cheese and layer all the chips with it. Gets all melted. And fresh toppings. The fish was tender with coconut curry topping and rice. I did not see the lake view since it was dark outside at 8 pm. I had the fish and chips and thought it was cooked well. The batter was crispy and the fish was not overcooked. The menu is a basic American Food menu and not a foo foo gourmet place as some reviewers seem to complain. Don't go to a burger joint and complain they have burgers... For dessert we had the salted caramel lava cake and also the apple tart. While the dinner menu was okay, the desserts were really good. The view of the water was nice with the reeds and grasses bending in the breeze and the ducks drifting on the pond. People with no nature experience see the duckweed at the downwind side of the water and seem to think it's polluted or something. Anyway, I usually only review places that I find really bad or really good, but the negative reviews by cupcakes afraid of duckweed just enticed me to post a review of what is really just a normal average restaurant. read more

The best part about this restaurant is the lakeside view; check out the beautiful birds and bunnies munching on grass (or get room service for 20% more plus a $2.50 charge). Cocktails are steep at around $12 each, and they have menus for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Breakfast is omelettes, other egg dishes, french toast, and some sides. Lunch is mainly appetizers, burgers, pizzas and salads. Dinner is the same as lunch, with the addition of pastas and entrees like steak. Pro tip: you can order alcoholic drinks for the room, even though they aren't on the menu! We ordered breakfast room service with egg white omelettes; they were pretty good, though they forgot the feta on top of mine. Dinner in the restaurant was better. My sweetie liked her steak with mashed potatoes and veggies (not cheap at $26), and I got a salad that was average and a pizza that was delicious. I got the Mediterranean pizza and noticed that the promised kalamata olives were really black olives from a can, but the thin crust was yummy. Even my sweetie, who is not a big pizza fan, kept stealing bites. Overall, we really enjoyed the ambiance and food; it was a nice surprise to find such a relaxing and tasty spot at an airport hotel. Searched for a place with a patio near the airport yesterday, this place showed up with great reviews and the food looked good as well. Got to the restaurant and asked to sit outside around 6:30 PM it was about 80° sunny and beautiful, we were told that there was no seating outside and when we asked why there were people outside drinking (at the patio seating area) they said you can take your drinks out there we can't bring food out there? We were then seated inside near the window and were given waters while we looked over the menu. We waited about 10 minutes for someone to take our drink order, never happened.. at that point we decided to take our business elsewhere. read more

Located inside the Radisson, Portland Airport, the food was excellent. The happy hour menu offered a good variety. The calamari was tender, the fish tacos flavorful, the quesadilla was delicious, and the steak tips were particularly good - perfectly cooked with outstanding flavor. We ordered bacon cheeseburgers for one of our dinners. Again, burgers were perfectly medium rare as requested, and juicy - not greasy. The tots were crispy and light as well. The Lakeside Bar & Grill is the onsite restaurant located at the Radisson Hotel / Portland Airport. According to the hotel's website, the eatery is "a favorite spot to spend time, enjoy a meal and take in picturesque views of Lake Colwood. Guests can also indulge in the flavors of the Northwest with a sampling of $5 items found on Lakeside Bar & Grill's new Happy Hour dining menu." There are happy hour specials and although the menu was not too exciting, it was not as bland a culinary offering as most chain hotel dining options. I enjoyed their breakfasts in particular. The omelets were great and I loved the artisan wheat bread they serve as toast. So good! Some people staying at the hotel get vouchers as part of their reservations, where they can enjoy a continental breakfast or you can purchase that option for $9.95. What I enjoyed, even on misty days, was eating outside on the patio. I think people thought I was crazy but I would rather eat a meal surrounded by fresh air and a gorgeous lake view rather than in a musty, dingy hotel restaurant. Lake Colwood thrilled me, even though it really was little more than an over-sized pond. Still, there were ducks, herons, squirrels and I even saw some Canadian Geese the last day. Wild blackberries grew everywhere and for this California girl, it was so Oregon awesome. The reason for deducting 2 YELP STARS was that the service was perfunctory and though the waiters and waitresses were nice, little details were over-looked. By this I mean, while outside, I would have to get up and go back in to fetch sugar for my coffee or in one instance, look for someone to take my order. My advice would be to offer more customer service training to the restaurant staff so that they are totally focused on maintaining an excellent customer service experience. read more
